Beautiful rings, great experience
Before our engagement, I went to Washington Diamond to try rings on and see what I liked. There were a lot of different options and I was able to take aspects from a few different rings to create a truly custom ring. My then boyfriend, went to meet with them after I had given all the details I liked in the rings and he worked with them to pick out the diamond and the final touches. The ring came out amazing! I get complements on it all the time. Before the wedding, we went back to try on wedding bands. It was a really special day and my husband got to try on all different rings since he had never worn jewelry, he wasn't sure what he'd want so it was really helpful trying everything on. The process for getting the ring cleaned is really easy and the staff is always kind and knowledgeable.

Old school service, modern day value
After having checked out a few other diamond stores in the area, I was disappointed with their lack of knowledge and/or service. It was then a friend recommended me to Washington Diamond. I had wrongly thought Washington Diamond was pricer than other diamond stores; they are not. From the moment my husband and I met with Tom, we were put at ease. The project we were working on was a complete reset to a diamond which included hard to find shield cut diamonds and a custom made band that had several requirements. Tom immediately had sources to call and stones for us to see the next day. Mind you, these are not stones that are readily available in the market - even for jewelers. He also went to work on designing a custom setting and had his goldsmiths work on the most perfect ring which fits beautifully against my entity band. Tom and his team included small, personal details which make this piece very heartfelt and stand out. Washington Diamond is a special place of talented people who are just as great with clients as they are with their craft. Tom and team, we look forward to working with you again! Thank you.

Washington Diamond should be your only choice!!
I can't imagine going anywhere else and getting the service and ultimately the most beautiful engagement ring I've ever seen!! Tom and his team were wonderful and even made us feel very comfortable and safe with the current Covid 19 situation. I feel like we were truly taken care of and the process of looking at stones and settings was everything I dreamed of. If you want the best experience go see Tom and let him work his magic, you won't be sorry! They are AMAZING!! I get so many compliments on my ring !!! (and what girl doesn't love that?!)

I Love My New Ring! -- I highly recommend Washington Diamonds
I recently upgraded my wedding ring after 20 years. Thought I'd go for a completely different look this time. I went from a lovely 18kt yellow gold, partial bezel ring to a beautiful 18kt white gold, halo style ring. The mounting of my new ring resembles a crown resting on its lower bedazzled edge, which is accented in 18kt rose gold. I love my new ring! -- the design, the unique luster of the white gold, the rose gold accent, and the pave diamonds that cover the front of the band, and the sparkle just brings it all together. If you're on the fence between platinum and yellow gold, the uniqueness of (18kt) white gold might be worth your consideration. And, I would highly recommend Washington Diamonds located in Fairfax, VA. This was my 2nd purchase from them. Excellent customer service, high quality merchandise, and competitive pricing!

Great team, made the process easy and exciting
Tom and team at Washington Diamond were extremely helpful in helping me select an engagement ring for my fiancée. I knew I wanted a vintage style to match her tastes, and Tom was helpful in finding the right diamond and the right setting to create the perfect ring.
When going to other jewelers, I felt at times that I was being given a runaround or trying to be steered towards a lesser quality (but more expensive) stone. That was not the case with Tom and his team, who sat down for more than a few consultations to show a variety of stones (and what made each one unique) until we found the right one.
The most important review is, of course, that my fiancée loved the engagement ring in the end. I look forward to going back with her to pick out our wedding rings!

High quality experience, warm employees
My husband bought my engagement ring from Kay Jewelers but, after our experience at Washington Diamond, we will never go to a chain jeweler again. We cannot recommend Washington Diamond enough. Tom was goofy and kind - he listened as we described to him our ideas for our wedding rings and even encouraged us to draw it out (or he would if we weren't confident artists). He suggested adjustments to the design with his years of expertise. He never made us feel less-than for being in our 20s or dumb for not knowing about ring design. We left with BIG smiles on our faces and will happily be going back to them for all jewelry needs in the future. He was also very respectful of our budget.

I walked into Washington Diamond to get a general feel of a ring, but that same day I picked out the ring I used to propose. After being grilled on what my fiance wanted for awhile I was able to list a couple things off, and an entire tray of diamond rings matching that criteria was brought out. The overall cost was nothing compared to the value of the ring. I ran into some difficulties coming up with the funds to pay, but they were really understanding and worked with me. I made a couple of payments and proposed the same day the ring was turned over to me. Really glad I went to Washington Diamonds and have recommended a couple other of my friends to check them out if they were interested.

My fiance and I were trying to make a family ring into something special of our own. After visiting a few jewelers in the area, I came across Washington Diamond. Highly recommend!
My fiancé and I had a great experience with Tom and the team at Washington Diamond! I originally wanted to go through Blue Nile or James Allen, but my fiancé wanted me to check out rings in person. We went to Washington Diamond on my future brother-in-law's recommendation with his experience there!
When we got to Washington Diamond, we had such exceptional service, and Tom helped us pick out a perfect ring and diamond, while being mindful of our budget! They were able to customize my ring to my liking- I wanted 18K gold with platinum prongs on a three-stone setting, and they did a great job!
The service I've had at Washington Diamond has also been great! I needed to get my ring resized slightly and got it back within a week! Also, in the frenzy of the actual engagement, I lost the ring box in an Uber, so I didn't have a box. I asked Erin if I could pay for a replacement, and she offered me one free of charge! I loved working with them!

We loved working with Washington Diamond!
My husband and I were recently married and we used Washington Diamond for my engagement ring and both of our wedding bands. They have been wonderful to work with! When we went to look at engagement rings we shopped around a bit, and we absolutely feel that we got the best value and more importantly the best service at Washington Diamond. Tom was so helpful and easy to work with and really is an expert in the business. He never pressured us to make a purchase and continued to help us even after buying the engagement ring when we had to get the setting for the diamond changed. When it was time to purchase our wedding bands, it wasn't even a discussion...we knew we would go to Washington Diamond and we were happy that we did! We love our rings and the service we receive every time we go there is outstanding. Prior to the wedding they cleaned our rings and were even kind enough to clean my grandma's engagement ring that I planned to wear for the special day---at no cost! Washington Diamond was our choice to purchase a loose diamond, Engagement Ring, and Wedding Bands; after visits to several area competitors.
The knowledge, service, professionalism, value, and in the end; craftsmanship that we received working with Tom Daube and the staff at Washington Diamond was above the expectation many would expect.
After a visit together, having a solid idea of the Engagement Ring we would like; I made a follow up appointment for myself, which I was invited to reschedule to a day just after new diamonds arrived. I did not buy a more expensive diamond to arrive at perfect; I was just shown the perfect diamond. What a great visit.
I was prepared to compromise when I looked at the rings on display, which were very nice, but I did decide to mention a particular design we had seen that I never thought would be ours - or her's.
I could not be more proud, or my wife more surprised and pleased with the Engagement Ring and Wedding Band, Washington Diamond crafted for us.
We are as delighted with Washington Diamond with our more recent visits, as we are with this experience we had several years ago.

Customer service and quality is the name of the game. We were able to develop a relationship with Tom who worked with us directly on our ring. He is relatable and has a genuine way of interacting with you. You get to know him as a person as he gets to know you and you feel comfortable communicating all of you concerns and desires. You have his full attention for the entire hour you are there at each appointment and he really cares about finding what you want and getting it done, and getting it done the best way possible. Yet he also has a casual candor that facilitates knowing each other on a real, human level and helps you get the best product even if something you want might not work. After shopping around at a number of jewelers, we felt completely confident that his place stood out. We had him create a custom ring I drew. He was really careful to talk through all the details and feasibility of each flourish (making sure it captures what you want but also ensures the structural integrity for a long-lasting product). He wanted to make sure the final product was up to his high standards. He even adjusted his standard workflow to what he thought would get the final result right, even incurring additional costs doing so. That was really impressive to me. He was able to work through the challenges of bringing our design to a final product in a way that created a positive relationship of respect between us. We were really happy with the ring we bought. I admire it daily and we’ll continue to go back to him. We felt motivated to do our best by him as he did his best by us. He was always gracious and professional.

We could not be more pleased with Washington Diamond. My (now) husband and I met with Tom before we were engaged and looked at rings - he wasn't pushy or opinionated, but simply let us look and ask questions. He made recommendations to us based on his vast knowledge of the industry and stock. My husband selected a beautiful engagement ring for me which I cherish daily. We also both found our wedding bands at Washington Diamond, and my husband just surprised me with gorgeous diamond earrings for Christmas. I had the best experience at Washington Diamond that I could have asked for. My now fiancé and I made the 2-hour drive to the DC area to look at rings on a day we were both free. We had read about Washington Diamond online but did not make an appointment. Nonetheless, they were gracious to take time for us and to help us find the perfect ring. Tom is clearly passionate about his business and takes a personal interest in each customer who walks into the store. He listened to our preferences and was direct and forthcoming. First, let me say my husband caught me by surprise when he chose a local vendor over some big box store. The first time I visited Washington Diamond to meet with Tom (which I learned was probably my husband's 5th or 10th) I felt like I was in a scene from the movie Snatch. After getting through the novelty of the multi-door entry, I found the place to be comfortable, welcoming, and filled with top quality diamonds. Tom really knows his stuff. We initially visited to pick out our wedding bands, and, after making sure he found the absolute perfect matching wedding band for my engagement ring, he let my husband have his own diva moment picking out a ring. We've been back several times since, from sizing my ring to having our rings polished the week of the wedding, and the staff are always friendly. I recommend Washington Diamond for anyone in the DMV area.

My fiancée and I discovered Washington Diamond after a bad experience with another jeweler, and we are so glad we did. From my first call with Tom to the finished product, the service was second to none. We met with Tom to discuss a custom designed based on a photo I emailed to him. Tom worked with our budget and more importantly met a very tight deadline of two weeks. My ring is without a doubt the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. Tom an his team created a masterpiece and I could t be happier. The sparkle is incredible and the compliments are endless. We decided to go back to the same jeweler that my fiance used for the engagement ring, and we're so glad we did! The service was attentive and detailed, and everything was explained to us. I can't say enough good things about Tom and his team. My fiancé and I met with Tom (it's SO rare to meet with someone of his caliber when you go to a jewelry store for the first time) just to get a better idea of what styles we liked and what we were looking for with an engagement ring. Tom, like me, encouraged my fiancé to shop around and do his homework - and in the end, my fiancé came right back to Tom (he wanted to buy the ring we looked at on the spot at that first meeting) because of the unmistakable value and quality of both the diamond itself and the store. I am someone that always does my research before I make a major purchase. After hours of research I thought it would be a good idea to setup an appointment with Washington Diamond to take my girlfriend to look at options. Appointment setup was carefree and professional. We met with Walter in October of 2015 and spent over an hour and a half with him. He took time to educate myself and my girlfriend on everything engagement rings and diamonds. I told him upfront I did not know much and I felt like he did an excellent job answering all our questions in a pressure free atmosphere. We left that meeting and Walter followed up. I explained to him that I was not looking to actually make the purchase until 2016 and he thanked me and told me to reach back out when I was ready. In the meantime I did some research on purchasing diamonds on the internet and also attempted to setup an appointment with a major DC Metro jeweler. Based on both of those ventures I realized that Washington Diamond was the only place I wanted to buy jewelry from. I reached back out to Walter who remembered me and had all my information. We setup an appointment and even though the region received a severe snowstorm he was able to still hold the appointment. He helped me pick out an amazing ring and it was ready for pickup at the date I was told it would be. Since then she said yes and we have been back twice to fix the sizing. Ryan, Walter and everyone at Washington Diamond has been great. They have surely earned a customer for life.

In my opinion, Washington Diamond is the only place to go for unique custom made jewelry. My husband and I both got our wedding bands from Washington Diamond and had an absolutely wonderful experience (I kind of wish he had known to get my engagement ring here!). We enjoyed the intimacy of having a one-on-one appointment, and we were so lucky to have worked with Walter. He was very patient with me, and when we realized that my vision of my wedding band wasn't exactly like any of the ones that were on display in the store, he took the time to talk it through with me and drew out a sketch of the ring I wanted. He then measured the dimensions of my engagement ring to ensure that the widths would match as closely as possible. I got a round diamond shared prong band and when it came in, I had doubts that the diamonds may be too big since I have a petite engagement ring. Again, Walter was so understanding and helpful and didn't want me to make an impulse decision, so he told me to go ahead and wear the ring for a week. After this, I still felt like I needed smaller diamonds, and he was so understanding and didn't hesitate to help me compare my other diamond size options and order another ring. Now my ring is perfect! And the value at Washington Diamond really cannot be beat. My husband and I looked at Jared and Mervis during our ring hunt, but the price at Washington Diamond was so much better for the amazing quality on GIA certified diamonds and a platinum band. It is also great how they adjust prices based on what the day-to-day value is so you know you are getting the best price and aren't just paying a standard face value. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our rings or our experience with Walter and the whole Washington Diamond staff. I will definitely be referring my brother there when he's engagement ring shopping!

My now-husband and I looked around the DC area for a jewelry store that would give us high quality options without inflated price tags. We made an appointment with Tom at Washington Diamond and he was fantastic! He spent more than an hour showing us both wedding rings and letting us try on different options; he was extremely patient with us and also offered great advice! We felt like he did his best to give us a great deal on the rings and we left feeling extremely satisfied and taken care of! We spent approximately $5k on both Platinum wedding rings. Also, the whole staff at Washington Diamond that we worked with were very nice and accommodating. We ordered our rings several months before our wedding and they were happy to have us leave the rings in their safe instead of us taking them home right away. They provided all of the insurance information expeditiously and offered a 6 month window to come in and have the rings re-sized. They also offer engraving! Overall, we could not have been happier with our experience at Washington Diamond!

Our experience at Washington Diamond was excellent in all respects. When I was ready to propose, I was referred to diamond expert Tom Daube by friends of ours who obtained their engagement ring and wedding bands from him a few years earlier and I understood immediately why. Tom and his staff were engaging, personable, and professional from the beginning and all throughout. Most importantly, they listened to me as I described the style of engagement ring I was seeking -- to include examining some rough drawings I made -- and my affordable price range. Tom very easily narrowed my search down to four or five stones and separate rings for me to consider. With Tom's help, I chose the engagement ring and subsequently surprised by bride, Stela. Later, we were easily able to exchange the setting to something more compatible with Stela's wedding band (I did get big points for trying, though). Actually, Tom was able to easily match the styles of engagement ring and wedding band to achieve a look that is often complimented by family, friends, and others. Re-sizing was also easily accomplished. Tom made the experience understandable by explaining the different diamond cuts, grades, and other characteristics and by doing the same for the various metal options for the rings. His patience in answering all of our questions and understanding our preferences kept this a very positive experience. Likewise the client care specialists -- many thanks to Ryan and Charlotte -- made scheduling, payment, delivery of invoice and insurance documents, and pick-up very smooth and convenient. We recommend Washington Diamond to anyone ready to make this decision and investment.

I had very little knowledge of diamonds and engagement rings. The staff at Washington Diamond educated me and then encouraged me to shop around to compare the quality and value of other jewelers with theirs. I did. You can find lower quality diamonds for a cheaper price and also similar quality diamonds at a higher price. You would be hard-pressed to find an equal in quality and value in the metro Washington D.C area... As I learned from Washington Diamond, ask a jeweler to take the stone out into the natural light. Most jewelers have specialized store lighting that makes diamonds appear brighter than they will be in natural light. If the jeweler won't let you see it in natural light, then head for the door. Tom at Washington Diamond and I looked at several stones in natural light before I made my purchase. And the service in sizing and care afterwards was outstanding! Tom and Washington Diamond are great!

Absolutely beautiful jewelry at a perfectly fair price and with great service. I had been recommended Washington Diamond by a friend who got his engagement ring there as well. I had just started looking, I dipped my feet in the water by poking in at the big box stores at the mall just to set some sort of baseline, but I knew I didn't especially care for anything that they had. I wanted something simple, but elegant and beautiful, and I sat down with Tom and he gave me a great tutorial on everything diamond and, once we had worked out what my price range was he brought out a number of great options.
There was never any pressure to buy right there, either. I left the first day pretty sure I knew what I wanted, and I went and compared notes elsewhere but I didn't see anything that was better than the one I had picked out at Washington Diamond, so I called them up and with a very quick turn around I got the ring that I liked. My fiancée has got a ton of compliments on her ring, and a lot of people think it must be bigger than it is by carat, which makes me smile. Of course, most importantly, she said "yes," so that's all that really matters, but everything on top of that has been great.

My husband and I purchased my engagement ring and our wedding bands at Washington Diamond and we could not be happier! They have everything you need to make the entire experience pleasant- great staff, great selection, and great service. A good friend recommended the store, so when my husband decided it was time to look for an engagement ring, he called to set up an appointment. He knows nothing about jewelry, so he brought a picture of what I had in mind. I remember him telling me that he had the last appointment of the day, and he never felt rushed-- Walter took the time to answer all of his questions and showed him several different rings, explaining the differences between them all. He helped him choose the perfect setting and stone-- it's exactly what I wanted!! It's beautiful and I receive compliments on it all the time. I had to have it sized, but Ryan and the rest of the team made the whole process really easy (and I loved that when I picked it up, they had cleaned it for me! :)). We went back several months later to purchase our wedding bands and I was able to work with Walter myself-- he is super knowledgeable and patient, listened to what we were looking for, and helped us choose the perfect bands. We love working with Washington Diamond and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to buy quality jewelry in a relaxed environment from people with expertise you can trust.

Washington Diamond did an amazing job with my engagement ring & our wedding bands. My fiance did a lot of research and went to numerous stores before deciding to go with Washington Diamond. He worked with Walter, who did an amazing job and was very helpful, my fiance knew what he wanted (a custom piece) and they worked with him to get the best result...the ring is spectacular, I get so many compliments on it. When we went in for our wedding bands we worked again with Walter, he was very flexible, helped us go over our options and just made everything so easy. I knew I wanted to have my fiance's ring engraved & when I called with the information they recommended we come in first and ensure the fit of the ring. It sounds like such a little thing, but had it not fit that may have been a disaster. Of course, Washington Diamond is fabulous & it fit perfectly.

Don't waste your time looking anywhere else! Call Tom Daube at Washington Diamond! I spent countless hours driving to multiple jewlers in York, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Hanover, and two in MD! After talking to Tom I decided to make the 4 hour round trip drive (I liked the fact that Washington Diamond specializes in GIA certified stones). I couldn't have been more impressed! It was honestly hard to just pick 1 of the 5 stones that Tom had set aside for me to look at. He couldn't have done a better job! He is also knowledgable/helpful, but not pushy.
Washington Diamond also custom made the engagement band for me. It turned out exactly how I wanted.
My fiancé absolutely loves her engagement ring!

Great staff, great pricing and great options. I found a vintage platinum setting with diamonds in it and chose a deep blue sapphire for my center stone. We opted for the plain bands and we paid less than the ring was appraised for. I especially loved the personal experience. Unlike chain jewelry stores where staff are paid on commission, the staff at WD aren't pushy salespeople. They genuinely want you to have what you are looking for and are respectful of your budget. They also have specialists onsite that size your rings and can create unique designs. So there is no losing your ring in shipment. I love my ring and receive compliments on it all the time. They have a great range of styles that would fit a variety of tastes. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for engagements ring or something special!

I bought my wife's engagement ring and we also bought our wedding bands here. They do a wedding band sale in January, so if you can time it right, definitely get your bands then. Walter, our diamond salesman, was knowledgeable, very helpful, and patient as I deliberated A LOT. I just really wanted her ring to be perfect, and they made it happen. They have a substantial diamond selection and I'm no diamond pricing expert, but I did a lot of shopping and I think I got a very good price. Ryan, my customer service rep, is fabulous. She's very nice and very responsive. I highly recommend them and am VERY happy with my experience.

My fiancé and had a wonderful experience at Washington Diamond. We initially started looking for an engagement ring at a popular large retailer in MD. We were disappointed by the lack of customer service, pressure to buy, and the low quality diamond selections. My fiancé researched and found Washington Diamond in VA and it was exactly what we were looking for. The business is appointment only therefore provides 1-1 customized service with the attention to detail that we were looking for. We were pleased there was not an overwhelming selection, but instead there are all high quality and elegant pieces. Tom provided detailed customer service and we ended up selecting a customized engagement ring and a stunning cushion cut diamond with the high quality that we could not find in our previous experience. I had some issues with finding proper sizing and Tom and his team were patient until we found the perfect sizing. We highly recommend Tom and his colleagues for the quality customer service and unique jewelry selection that his business offers.

Since this was our first time looking at engagement rings, he took the time to educate us and walked us through the whole process. Walter was honest and very open to our ideas! Since I really wanted a sapphire ring, Walter worked with my fiance to find the perfect choice. He even brought in about 15 different shades, shapes and sizes for my fiance to select from. They then custom built the ring, which turned out perfect! I could not be happier. Due to our first experience, we went back and got our wedding bands. Tom Daube is wonderful to work with. He is honest and friendly and does not try to "up sell" you. He even took my fiance outside in the sunlight to demonstrate that there was no noticeable difference between the diamond he was considering and a more expensive one.
We sent friends of ours to Tom after we bought my engagement ring, and they had an equally positive experience.
The selection is great and the customer service is first rate. If you want to make your big purchase with very little stress, be sure to visit Washington Diamond.

The team at Washington Diamond is extremely professional and easy to work with. Having driven by Washington Diamond several times, I decided to Google them to find more information. Best decision I ever made (next to proposing). From my first appointment, Tom and the staff at Washington Diamond went out of their way to make sure that I was fully informed for my decision regardless of whether I purchased my engagement ring from them or another vendor.
I checked several stores (both chain and local), as well as online vendors. Nothing compared to the service I received at Washington Diamond. They helped me stay within budget to get a ring that completely rendered my fiance speechless with how gorgeous it was.
Working in customer service, I was truly impressed of how the staff took care of me for my multiple appointments (I mean multiple so they are also patient). I would highly recommend them and can't wait to work with them again on wedding bands (she obviously said, "yes").

Washington Diamond is nothing like the usual "big box" jewelers you may find in or outside of the malls. They are a small jeweler who specialize in diamonds and platinum and I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else if that's what you're after. Tom was very down to earth, genuine and interested only in making sure we got exactly what we wanted. We had shopped around a bit at all the local jewelers and were rather disappointed in the clerk's attitudes and pricing on diamonds which were not that spectacular. Tom listened to what we wanted for the engagement ring, not only in diamond but also the ring itself and quickly found a few rings for us to see. Once we selected the one we wanted, Tom worked with us to select a beautiful diamond and gave us a great deal on both. We liked our experience so much that we purchased our wedding bands from him as well. I later also purchased my gift of diamond stud earrings as my wedding gift to my bride from Washington Diamond. Truly wonder experiences with every visit; check them out yourself to find excellent diamonds at prices others can't/won't do.

My fiance purchased my engagement ring here and we went back for both of our bands. All three pieces came out beautifully. They can create practically anything from scratch. My rings were created from pictures we brought in. We worked with Tom, who was quite knowledgeable and made us both feel very comfortable about this very big purchase. Walter & Washington Diamond provide amazing service. He and the staff went above and beyond my expectations! I found a ring online which was similar to what I wanted. They have a goldsmith on site who can make the ring of your dreams come to life.
Walter walked us through the basics on the different types of metals, diamond 101, and designing my custom engagement ring. He was very professional, stayed within our budget, and took time with us. I was very nervous about how the ring would turn out. Now its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! We will be purchasing our wedding bands from them as well.
Definitely make sure to make an appointment, they don't allow walk-ins; and for a very good reason. They make sure to make each appointment personalized to your needs, so your not rushed or feel pressured to make a purchase.

From the start, my now-husband and I loved Washington Diamond. After we got engaged over 19 months ago, my husband told me about how easy it was to work with Washington Diamond, and how they worked really hard to make sure he was getting a great deal. I LOVE my beautiful and very original engagement ring, still.
About six months after getting engaged, one of the stones fell out of my ring, and I was really nervous we had been suckered into a bad purchase. However, Washington Diamond fixed my ring promptly and efficiently, and made sure all the stones were tight. They made sure to let me know that if I ever had problems, they would take care of them immediately. I have had zero problems since then.
We also got our wedding rings from them, and they were nothing but awesome (especially when I got cold feet about my wedding band four days before the wedding, and they STILL took a lot of time and care to let me try on new bands and make sure I was completely happy). We adore our rings, and know we got high quality jewelry for a really great price that included an absolutely lovely sales and service team.

Both of my experiences, first choosing an engagement ring and then wedding bands, were easier than I could have ever imagined. I chose to drive all the way to Washington Diamond from where I live (near Baltimore) because of their unbeatable selection of halo and antique engagement rings. My first visit was with my future sister-in-law then I visited again with my fiancée, and I felt completely comfortable talking to Tom during both appointments. Washington Diamond truly understands the value of an honest, consultative sale. Tom really picked up on my likes and dislikes when I was trying on rings, even when I felt like I wasn’t sure what I wanted. We felt perfectly confident that we could trust Tom and the Washington Diamond team, which was very important for my fiancée who wanted to make sure he was making the right decision on such a big purchase.

Washington Diamond Co. custom made our engagement ring and wedding bands from discussions we had based on their website designs and changes we wanted to make so that our ring sets were unique and within budget. The finished product was even more elegant than I had imagined. Each diamond was intricately integrated into an overall band design, and the diamonds selected were placed to compliment the diamond next to it, in color, size, shape, depth and dimension. We used the asscher, princess and emerald cuts, but the way they were laid out created a beautiful work of art, reflected by precision craftsmanship. I love wearing a ring designed just for me that reflects my taste and is unique.

I looked everywhere trying to find a wedding band to match my unique engagement ring. I was starting to lose hope and come to terms with the fact that I would have to settle for a wedding band I didn't really love when a friend recommended Washington Diamond. While I had trouble finding even one ring I liked at other stores, Washington Diamond offered three that matched what I was looking for exactly and stayed within our budget. The staff was amazing, answered all our questions, and truly seemed to care about our ring buying experience. Most importantly, they took the time to let us make the selection. None of the other jewelers we visited even came close to the level of customer service and professionalism that Washington Diamond displayed. I could not be happier with them (or my ring!)
I would recommend them to anyone.

Outstanding quality and service! Tom has been our jeweler for just about a year now since that fateful day when I walked in to purchase an engagement ring. I had done my research beforehand and had a rather specific idea of what my soon-to-be fiance wanted in a ring. After looking at a few settings, I just didn't have the feeling that I had found "the one." (the ring, not the fiance haha) So I broke out my phone and showed him some photos of rings that I knew looked similar to what I liked. Upon seeing these pictures, Tom cleared the table of the settings we had been looking at and took me directly to the perfect ring. I knew right away that it was exactly what I had been looking for.
The problem was, this was a wedding band - not an engagement ring. No worries though - Tom spent the next hour working with me to design the perfect setting for an engagement ring modeled after the wedding band I liked so well. He also guided me through the process of selecting an absolutely stunning diamond. Needless to say, the ring turned out perfectly, and it makes me happy to see it on my fiance's finger every day.
But wait, there's more!
Months later, my fiance and I returned to WD to pick out wedding bands. After reviewing several options, she agreed that the band I had used as a model for the engagement ring was her favorite. Except, she added, "wouldn't it be better if had just slightly bigger diamonds??" Good thing I love her so much. No worries! Tom again worked with us to design a custom band that complements the engagement ring perfectly--and features bigger diamonds to boot.
Bottom line: if you are looking to develop a relationship with a jeweler who will get to know you and help you design the perfect piece of jewelry for all of life's biggest moments, WD is the place to go.

I rolled into Washington Diamond not knowing what to think, however, I left with all the confidence in the world. I was very impressed with the staff. They were all very polite and encouraging. I dealt with Walter: a very knowledgeable guy who helped me understand what exactly I was buying. I ended up going with a beautiful vintage style engagement ring and the matching band. I could not have been happier with the whole process, and my then fiancé was amazed. I appreciate all of the time and energy the people at Washington Diamond gave me. I would highly recommend their services to anyone. Thanks again guys!!!

I found Washington Diamond by doing an internet search and found mostly positive reviews. I set up an appointment for picking out an engagement ring and ended up meeting with Tom. He was very professional and great about explaining how to choose the diamond that I was looking for. The ring turned out better than I expected and my fiance couldn't have been more pleased. We both ended up going back to pick out our wedding bands as well. Washington Diamond offers great customer service and value.

This was my second time to purchase an engagement ring, the 1st being through a well known online retailer. The prices between the two were comparable, but the service at Washington Diamond was vastly superior. They helped me to sell the diamond on the old ring and then custom designed a new engagement ring. We've been back a couple of times since then for the wedding bands and it's been a pleasure working with Tom and the rest of the staff.

Tom and Washington Diamond to the rescue! I was having a difficult experience with a longstanding family jeweler and turned to internet to find an engagement ring when I came across Washington Diamond. Tom and his team were just awesome! They listened to me, helped answer questions I had from my own research, and provided outstanding diamond and setting options for me to select the perfect ring. I live 4 hours away and never set foot in the front door, but they made me feel comfortable, respected, and at home working with them.
When I signed for and opened the package with the engagement ring, I instantly knew that I made the best and right decision to buy from Washington Diamond. I think I sat in the FedEx parking lot for over 20 minutes just staring at the ring in amazement. I was so thrilled with the ring and impressed with Washington Diamond that I called Tom and left him a heartfelt ‘thank you’ message on his voice-mail.
The diamond is just breathtaking! And the setting is exactly what we hoped we’d find. The engagement ring surpassed even my wildest expectations of quality and what I thought I could afford. My fiancee absolutely loves her ring! I could not be happier! Washington Diamond even called a few weeks later to see if I was satisfied with my purchase. Great customer service! I’d recommend Washington Diamond to everyone - even those of us that don’t live in the D.C. area. Let’s just say I've found my new family jeweler. Thanks Tom and Washington Diamond!

My engagement ring is from the 1920s. It belonged to my great grandmother. For years I swooned over it waiting for it to be mine when one day the stone fell out and was lost. At the time my mother took it to a jeweler in Richmond who told her the setting was too old and too far gone for repairs. I was heart broken but refused to give up.
My fiance and I took the setting to Washington Diamond where they took a look at it and said that it was not in fact beyond repair and that they'd be happy to work on it. I loved seeing how excited they got about the prospect of restoring such an old ring. We knew we'd found the right place! Months later when my fiance was ready to take the plunge he took the setting back and they began work on it.
My fiance says throughout the whole process they were incredibly helpful. They were able to build up the base and prongs to ensure us that the new diamond Simon picked out would stay safely put. The final product looks absolutely gorgeous.
Even after the proposal they continued to be extremely helpful resizing the ring multiple times to fit my tiny fingers. They were always friendly and determined to get it just right.
I can't thank you enough for the wonderful work you did. (And my mother's face lit up to see her grandmother's ring completely restored!)

I was in the market for an engagement ring, a friend suggested Washington Diamond because of the great service he recieved, that level of service held true to my experience as well! The entire staff, especially Tom, were extremely helpful navigating through the ring purchase. I also had a previous engagement ring, Washington Diamond bought the ring from me and credited that money to my current ring. They're spectacular!
