I knew absolutely nothing about rings, and coming into Gold City and working with Vik was an easy and informative process. Vik was responsive, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. When you’re spending that much money on a diamond, you want to be sure you’re getting exactly what you want and the quality is superb and Vik helped ensure that. I had an amazing experience with Vik at Gold City Jewelers. He really took the time to listen and understand what I was looking for. We started with the main diamond, which was A LOT less stressful than I was expecting. He made it so easy by going through about a dozen diamonds before I found the perfect one. I ended up going with a really high color (F) and mid clarity (SI1). He even taught me how to view the diamond with a loupe. It was a great learning experience. Picking out the ring took a little longer because they have sooo many to choose from. We ended up having to custom make the ring, which took a couple weeks, but was well worth the wait. I proposed about a week ago and the look on my fiancés face was priceless. We will be coming back for weddings bands and all future jewelry purchases. Thanks!!!

My fiancé and I couldn’t be happier with our custom engagement ring. We went to multiple chain stores but never really felt comfortable, maybe it was just a lack of trust because we felt like we were being pushed towards a certain diamond or ring and they didn’t seem that knowledgeable. We looked at reviews online and decided to visit gold city jewelers. It was the best decision we made! Vik listened to our requirements and gave us some great recommendations. He also showed us different center diamonds until we found the perfect stone within our budget. The other jewelry stores had half the inventory so we never got a chance to really compare different stones. Vik never was pushy or arrogant, which is what we dealt with at other places. I had an awesome experience with Gold City Jewelers. I worked with Vic to custom-make a wedding set (engagement ring and wedding band) for my fiancée. We were a bit worried and skeptical at first about finding a jeweler we trusted, as my fiancée and I had found a design of an engagement ring we liked and were looking for someone to custom make it for us. We had gone to a couple of chain stores just to figure out what kind of designs we liked and did not trust those jewelers at all.


As soon as we stepped into the store and started speaking with Vic, we were immediately confident in him and our stress with the process vanished! Vic is great and he knows his shit. I was very interested in learning about diamonds, their quality, and choosing between them. Vic was very patient throughout the whole process. He let us look at as many gems as we wanted under the magnifying glass and helped to point out the flaws and positives in each one. At the same time, he skipped over details we said we were already familiar with, and didn’t try to waste our time by showing off how much he knew (which had been my experience in some other places).


Gold City Jewelers has a lot of diamonds in-house, which is not very common. Usually stores will only have a few on hand and will have to order others if you want to see them in person. This made the process much easier and enjoyable, as I didn’t feel limited in what I was picking from and could compare all of my options side-by-side.


Vic made suggestions in the selection and design when we asked for it, and didn’t push his opinions when we didn’t. He was very forthcoming and transparent with us when it came to pricing and he was not pushy at all. He asked what our budget was up-front and worked within the confines of that budget, while still delivering what we wanted.


Vic was also extremely attentive to our sense of aesthetics. We didn’t have a picture of the matching wedding band; we just knew we wanted it to match the engagement ring. Vic gave his input on what would look good and designed the wedding band himself. In the end, he gave us two options to pick from and we love the one we chose.
