  Kelley was outstanding! I’ve never had so much fun during a make-up trial, I knew she had to be the one for my wedding day. She mastered the makeup of 7 girls aged 68-26. She is so easy going and knows what she is doing; all of our makeup lasted the entire night, looked gorgeous and suited each individual!

  Kelly was amazing! everyone looked amazing. Even my mother in law who was very nervous about wearing makeup LOVED how she looked. This company has amazing artists and I would recommend them to everyone.

  I couldn't be happier with Pearls and a Black Dress. Prior to our wedding, Stacie gave me the most beautiful spray tan. I had never had a professional spray tan, just a booth one, and I was a bit apprehensive about the whole process. Stacie made me feel comfortable, and also listened to the level of tan I wanted for the big day. Kelley arrived very early at our venue to provide wedding day makeup for 10 of us. She made the moms, bridesmaids, and sisters look absolutely stunning. All of my bridesmaids told me how Kelley listened to what they wanted in their makeup for the day, and delivered! I have never felt that beautiful; I didn't want to take the makeup off! I will definitely think of Kelley and Stacie for events in the future!

  I worked with Kelley Marginean, and she did an amazing job! She was very organized, friendly, and professional. I don't usually wear makeup, and at the trial she was so helpful in helping me to figure out what I wanted. She made me look great while still looking like myself. On the wedding day, Kelley did a great job of putting me and my bridesmaids at ease, and everyone's makeup looked beautiful! She came early to get set up and stayed later so that she could touch up my makeup after the first look, she really went above and beyond. Stacie goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your look. If you feel like trying a few different looks, she completely supports you and is excited about trying new things! She will never make you feel like you're an inconvenience. She also has her own great ideas and the latest beauty items! I had Stacie do my wedding day makeup along with 7 additional women.   Kelley did an awesome job on my bridesmaids, mom and myself! She is the first makeup artist that I have ever had that actually listened to what I am comfortable wearing.   Kelley absolutely exceeded my expectations as the make-up artist for our June wedding. Pearls and a Black Dress came highly recommended from friends in the Columbus area but nothing could have prepared me for how personable, compassionate, fun and talented Kelley was as a make-up artist.
  
  We immediately clicked at our trial - her personality is laid back, attentive, funny yet professional all at the same time. She listened to what I wanted, reviewed my many pinterist photos and executed my vision perfectly.
  
  Kelley did the make-up for me, both moms and my two sisters. Everyone looked beyond stunning in person AND in the photos.
  
  On the day of the wedding, Kelley was a complete STAR. She was there early, set-up and ready to go. Each mom/bridesmaid just raved at how much they enjoyed their time with her and everyone's make-up looked absolutely gorgeous. Even though everyone had different "styles," Kelley executed each person's vision with ease: my sister wanted dramatic and more glam - perfect; my mother-in-law wanted very natural and simple - perfect. By the time I was in the chair, my nerves were high and Kelley immediately helped me feel at ease.
  
  Kelley stayed throughout our pre-ceremony photos and did touch-ups as needed. THEN right before the ceremony when it started pouring down rain (at my outdoor wedding) who was there but Kelley, make-up artist extraordinaire, to pitch in with all of our friends and family to grab towels and start wiping down chairs for guests to sit in under the tent. Then, she gave me a blow-by-blow as I hid inside and my bridesmaids were running around. She kept me calm and reassured me the whole time. I knew I would cry during the ceremony so Kelley stayed even later to make sure my make-up was perfect for the reception. She was more than amazing.
  
  I couldn't have been happier with my make-up for my wedding, but most of all, I am so incredibly happy to have had such a wonderful person share in my special day.

  I used Pearls and a Black Dress Makeup Artistry for my wedding day and was extremely pleased. I was lucky enough to work with the owner, Stacie, and she was amazing. She was prompt, professional, and was able to give me just the look I was going for. Aside from being extremely good at what she does, she was also a pleasure to be around. I truly felt like it was having a close friend do my make-up! She also did the make-up for my mother and some of the bridesmaids, and everyone was pleased. I highly recommend this company!

  Stacie was GREAT! Airbrush foundation was extremely reasonable and she did a fantastic job! Had a really solid idea of the fine line between wedding makeup and having it look too over-done. She dedicated the full trial time to me and did an awesome job understanding the look I was going for. She's also really personable and friendly, which is great when you're spending time with people for hours at a time. Loved working with this business and highly recommend to others!

  Robbie was wonderful and made us all feel our best. The pricing is great and includes so many little bonuses to make sure your day is perfect! Definitely recommend for any occasion where formal makeup is needed!

  Robbie did make-up for myself (bride) and my 2 maids of honor. I had such an amazing experience with Robbie and her work is absolutely superb! I normally don't wear a lot of make-up and wanted to go with a more natural look but wanted my eyes to absolutely pop. She was able to take my vision and went above and beyond with it. I couldn't believe how great my make-up looked and my eyes definitely popped in all of my pictures! She used the airbrush make-up on myself and both my maids of honor. Our make-up lasted all night long & even into the morning :) Robbie was very professional but she was a lot of fun as well! She was prompt and got all of our make-up done well before the approximate ending time of our appointment. This made me feel at ease as the day of the wedding is always crazy with time! I would highly recommend Pearls & A Black Dress to every bride! Thank you again Robbie for making me look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! :)

She was prompt and got all of our make-up done well before the approximate ending time of our appointment. This made me feel at ease as the day of the wedding is always crazy with time! I would highly recommend Pearls & A Black Dress to every bride! Thank you again Robbie for making me look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! :)

  Robbie with Pearls and a Black Dress did my makeup for my June wedding and I absolutely loved her! Not only is she extremely friendly, but she is extremely talented! She came to my home for a trial run and really listened to exactly what I wanted. The makeup on the day of my wedding came out better than I had expected. It was a hot, muggy day filled with lots of happy tears and my makeup stayed on all day!! I didn't have to worry about anything and it was great!
  
  I had a couple of bridesmaids who decided to get their makeup done the day of and Robbie totally accommodated them. They were just as pleased with their makeup as I was.
  
  I would absolutely recommend Robbie to anyone interested in getting their makeup professionally done.

  Robbie was my make-up artist for my wedding day and she was amazing! During the trial run she asked a lot of questions to make sure she knew exactly what I was looking for.   I have the type of skin that absorbs makeup in a short time. By lunch, you can't even tell that I have anything on! This time I decided on hiring a professional makeup artist....and not one from those overpriced salons who have messed up my makeup in the past! I chose to try the airbrushed makeup and absolutely loved it! My makeup lasted all day and night - even with all the crazy singing and dancing at the reception. Branda was so sweet and great to work with! She took her time during the trial run to make sure everything was perfect and to my taste. If I ever have another formal event I will definately use them again!

  Stacie was great!! She was so much fun and when we got our pics from our photographer, I couldn't believe how wonderful we all looked. I was an "older" bride with younger attendants and everyone (including my sisters) was so pleased with the exceptional job she did.

They also provide fake lashes for anyone interested, they are not bulky and fake looking either. Robbie added lashes on the ends to make a fuller look. My husband didn't even notice I had them on! Everyone had their own look created with the help of Robbie, and everyone was given some lip touch up for the evening. It lasted throughout the night even with all of the hot weather, sweating and crying! I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know!
