  Lisa was fantastic. She made the picture taking process easy for our families. She was so prepared! She even brought bobby pins for my blond hair just in case. Loved her!

  Lisa Coplen & her assistant Colleen did the photography for my 20 Sept 2008 wedding. Lisa was more than happy to work with me - and my modest budget - to assemble a package that would meet our needs (budget) and desires (pretty pictures!!). Lisa is responsive to phone & e-mail messages, has had a LOT of experience and is therefore confident and comforting when the bride is most nervous, and takes beautiful photos that are a real value for the money. They also do albums, but were able to work with us even though we could not afford to have one made. They provided extra time (hours onsite) without complaint when I asked for it just a few days ahead of time. I'm so very pleased with Lisa & Colleen & their work!

  Lisa was fantastic to work with. She was fun and quick on her toes. We were able to meet with her before the wedding to discuss ideas. She was very flexible in working with us as we had some pretty specific ideas about what we wanted. During the wedding, she was terrific in working with some of our more "difficult" guests. She was so patient. Her level of excitement and energy was so contagious. Lisa was even thoughtful enough to stop and buy an umbrella for me on our very rainy and wet day. Above all, her rates are ultra reasonable.

  Working with Lisa was horrible. I wished I never hired her. She never answered her phone and It took a week or more to reply my email. My husband and I couldn't ever get in touch with her after took pictures for my wedding. I don't recommend anybody to use Lisa for their wedding.

  We hired Lisa based on a recommendation from the chapel we got married in. She was great at the wedding and took beautiful photos, it was after the event that was a problem. We have still not received all the wedding albums we ordered over 6 months ago many mistakes many delays, and she never gets back to you ever, and when she does she has many personal excuses as to why she has not done her job. Very unprofessional would never hire her again.

  We are married at a beautiful place where Lisa and her con artist husband DJ'd our wedding. Lisa is the so-called photographer and her angry husband is the so-called want to be DJ doesn't know how to follow directions and listen to people's recommendations. Beware people do you wear this lady will take your money and then ask for more money and then you will never see pictures or album or proofs of any kind I'll let you take her fat ass to court. This Con artist needs to be put in jail for all the people that you ripped off and I provided the delivery of her so-called work, yes she showed up and took pictures you paid for them but guess what you never received anything in reality you got nothing for what you paid for.

  Nightmare. Absolute nightmare. I think she worked very hard. But lying about having an assistant with her when not one guest saw anyone but her running around snapping photos was a joke. My friends has taken better photos than she had & thus when I wanted to mix in her photos with theirs we've had major issues. 5years later....still no album. She sent the entire file of our photos telling me that I should go through them myself. There were hundreds of photos!!! Isn't it their job to pick the best ones and then let us make the final decision?? A 60k wedding with absolutely nothing to show for it. I don't even have a full length photo in my gown...AND the family photos up at the church alter all have pews in them. She is a joke.

  If you are all reading this, I have sent you all a personal message because we received the experience with Lisa Copelen. It's been over a year now and thousands of dollars later and after filling a law suit just last week against LA Coplen and Lisa we have yet to receive our album and our picture. I won't say much here, I will wait when we go to court and present our case. Also see my review in yelp.

  BEWARE of LA Coplen aka Lisa Coplen photography!!! We got married in August 2013 and had to go to court a over year later to get our pictures and album. We got our horrible album and The judge ordered her to mail us our photos and she still did not! We had to go to court AGAIN and the judge ordered her to give us our money back..... Even with the court order we STILL didn't get our money back and had to hire a collections attorney to work on getting it back! Her work was awful!!! My 12 year old nephew could have done a better job with the photoshop- my face was a different shape on each page, she doubled the images on some pages of our album, omitted the pictures of me and my siblings, and even engraved the wrong year on the leather cover!!!! Do NOT use her!! I wish I looked at her reviews before we hired her because it appears several people had the same experience!!! She also doubled the price of our package after we got married because she didn't tell us that she only puts 1 or 2 pictures on each page of the album!!! She had us pay her by PayPal to make it harder to get her bank account information for the court to deduct the money owed to us from it!! BEWARE!!!!...... And FYI- her husband is a DJ and also sucked!!!!!!!--- he didn't even play the Hora at our Jewish wedding because "I didn't have time"!!

Second red flag: she failed to respond to emails and phone calls in a reasonable manner and had a new excuse each time. Third red flag: she failed to show up to a wedding meeting that I flew in for. Final straw: she failed to show up for the final meeting two weeks prior to the wedding, which I again flew in for. She could not be trusted to show up to my wedding and I asked for my deposit to be returned. She not only refused to return the deposit but requested full payment for wedding services. I ended up taking her to court to get my money back, which I justly received. It was a nightmare and extremely stressful to find a new photographer two weeks prior to my wedding, not to mention the headache taking her to court. Do your self a favor and don’t hire her. She may have been a responsible photographer years ago but recently she seems more of a scam artist. Thank goodness for online reviews.
