Daniel and Natalie took amazing photos at our backyard wedding. I was worried we wouldn't have the "picture perfect" backdrops at our backyard event, but they found them all, and took photos that far exceeded our expectations.

Beyond that though, Natalie and Daniel were a pleasure to be around on our wedding day. Im a total stress case and they managed to put me at ease. They were also totally unobtrustive during the wedding. I didnt notice them snapping pics but they captured so many wonderful moments. Hire them!

I have trouble even finding words to describe how blessed we feel to have found Natalie from S19. She is truly magical and we couldn't have asked for a better experience with her for our engagement and wedding photography.
Let's back up to last summer - I felt so lost on how to find an amazing wedding photographer without spending half our wedding budget on it. When we found S19, we hit the jackpot. Their style was exactly what we had hoped for and their pricing was (finally!) not thousands of dollars beyond our budgets. Natalie and Daniel were wonderful about explaining the different options and working with us to provide us exactly what we wanted for a price that worked for everyone.
It wasn't until we met Natalie, though, for our engagement shoot early this spring that we realized how majorly we had scored with booking them. Working with her for our shoot was truly organic and fun, which I know is not often the case for photographers. She makes everything feel very natural, which we were totally surprised by. She had no trouble hiking into the hills and streams with us to capture the perfect shot. I don't feel like I even need to brag on here about the caliber of the actual photography work, because if you take one look at their portfolio it speaks volumes for itself. Natalie's photographic style is absolutely stunning. She has such a trained eye for the aesthetics and lighting and really takes her time in the editing process, as well as listening to her clients' input for what they like best. It was all the same and better on our wedding day this July, where Natalie and an assistant photographer captured every dazzling moment on film for us. The pictures were stunning and we will treasure them forever. She got the photos from both shoots back to us quickly, and we were so touched by her heart-warming write up on us for their website - nearly brought us to tears both times!
We can't wait to work with Natalie again very soon.

We had Daniel shoot our engagement photos and Daniel & Dom shoot our wedding. Our engagement photos came out awesome! Daniel was so nice, and got to know us a bit before the shoot, which helped loosen us up a bit! We've received a preview of our wedding photos, and are already blown away. They look awesome. Daniel was so great at responding to emails and even went out to our venue before the wedding to take a look around. Daniel & Dom were a blast to be around on the wedding day, and they came prepared with lots of cameras! It was really nice having both of them there. We are so happy we chose Studio 19 to capture such an amazing day, and we would highly recommend them!

Daniel and Natalie were great and responded to all of my hundreds of emails. They were so accommodating and helpful with the whole process. They were also so helpful in allowing options for me to verify I got everything I wanted out of my wedding. For example, they even drove down (separately) to the beach so I could take bridal party pictures on the sand, which is the one thing I really wanted. Even after it started raining and it seemed like we wouldn’t have that option, they insisted on me doing whatever I wanted. It stopped raining within minutes and the beach pictures turned out perfect! The wedding went absolutely perfect, and we have it all documented now because of them. I can’t express enough how awesome Studio19 was for the whole planning process and the day of. I will absolutely be recommending them to all of my friends!

Daniel and his team are amazing!!!

I was immediately drawn to his impeccable use of light and how he dances with it in his photos. He has a very organic way of capturing the moment photojournalistically and letting the love, the fun, the energy come through in his photos. His philosophy on his website is so accurate, that the "story of your special day is depicted through our cameras' lenses." He has a balance of candid shots, but also knows how important it is to have a picture with your 95 year old grandmother.

On our first phone conversation Daniel was very thorough and descriptive; immediately very friendly, helpful, and a cool, calm and steady demeanor. We chose the full package of engagement shoot and photos, full day of wedding photography, and half day video with Steven Alberts studio, which Studio 19 contracts with.

The engagement shoot was so fun! It was a brilliant way of getting to know Daniel and how he works. Since our wedding venue was overlooking the water (The Martin Johnson House, La Jolla) we wanted to do the engagement shoot in a space with trees, a field, etc. Daniel chose the location of Mission Trails park. He knew the area well and worked with the light so miraculously and timed each of the 5 locations that we stopped at so the light captured each scene and moment beautifully. No flashes used!!! His eye is so keen and sharp to how the light and the shadows will play into the picture. Stunning!

The day of the wedding was so easy and fun! Daniel and his assistant brought both liveliness and direction and a sense of calm to the day. They captured the day as it progressed, and also directed my husband and I, and our wedding party to do some beautiful and fun group shots. They captured the details of the venue, decor, and flowers beautifully.

We got the thumb drive of photos in a timely manner and LOVE them all!!!

Daniel and Natalie were great! Always communicating with me before the wedding and awesome to work with the day of! Very professional and creative and super nice. All my family and bridal party loved them!

In exploring potential photographers, I found that many were staged, unnatural, and even tacky. I was drawn to Studio 19 because everything they did was so natural and beautiful (with a unique, modern look). They really captured the night and we are so happy with how everything turned out!
