We got married in Joshua Tree and hired Madison, who's based in LA, after going back and forth for a while on photographers. Most wedding photography portfolios start to blur together after a certain point: same poses, same light, same feel. We wanted something more editorial, with an actual point of view, and that's exactly what we got.

The photos genuinely surprised us. There's a real sense of composition and mood to them, and the desert setting comes through in a way that feels considered rather than incidental. Months later, we're still noticing new details we love in shots we'd overlooked the first time through. These are photos we'll actually want to look at in twenty years, not just ones we're glad we have.

Turnaround was fast too, which we didn't expect but appreciated — no months-long wait for the gallery.

The other thing worth mentioning: Madison was just easy to have around all day. No ego, no disruptive posturing for the "perfect shot," just someone who worked well with our group and let the day unfold naturally while still capturing it well. That mattered more than we anticipated going in.

Overall, if you want photos with some actual style to them, he's worth it.

Not only is Madison talented, but he brings such a positive energy! He has a great eye for capturing moments, a fun creative photography style and knows what he's doing with a camera. He captured all the important moments of the day and made everyone feel so comfortable being photographed. Our photos are stunning - highly recommend Madison!

Madison was so much fun to work with on our big day! He was super communicative leading up to it which I really appreciate. His energy puts you at ease so we never felt awkward or uncomfortable. He was thorough and asked all the questions that I didn’t even consider so I felt confident I would get all the shots I wanted. On our wedding day he was organizing, professional and flexible with some of the unexpected chaos throughout the day. I appreciate how he was there to capture all the special moments but didn’t feel like he was getting in the way of our ceremony and reception. Madison from MGH is a great guy and easy to work with. He got along with everyone, brought out energy with everyone, even my cranky uncle Carl. He cared more about our vision than anything else and he delivered! Our special day was amazing, also tiring, also rewarding, also a whirlwind of family and friends and coordination and so on and so forth. Being able to finally take the time to look through the moments and memories was almost like me getting to attend my wedding for a second time, with fresh eyes and a full heart seeing how well the ambiance, venue, people and love was captured. I think I’m good with the one wedding, but if I had to do it again - MGH would be there to capture everything.
