  Wedding photography

  Shanna and Mike were absolutely amazing! First we did our engagement photo shoot. Me and my husband aren’t very photogenic... by the end of the shoot Mike and Shanna made us so comfortable we didn’t want to stop smiling for the camera! When we got our pictures we were so happy they were so clear and looked absolutely amazing! For the wedding Mike and Shanna were amazing! They snapped beautiful photos from every angle they are true professionals. We had a January wedding and towards the end of the night it started snowing, Mike and Shanna froze with us just to get some amazing photos! If I could go back and would choose House of Lubold Photography over and over again.

  Shanna the superhero!

  Tensions were high and tears were about to come before Shanna arrived and saved the day. I cannot thank her enough for her positive, calming, professional demeanor, and ‘we can get it done’ attitude. The moment she arrived, the stress and anxiety about things going wrong started melting away. Her presence lit up the room with so much love and excitement. Having an amazing wedding photographer doesn’t only get you beautiful pictures. You need a true professional to be completely on your side on your wedding day – someone who is understanding, stays calm under pressure, can take control of any situation, completely trustworthy, and super upbeat. This is the team that gets it done, going so far above our expectations and letting us start relaxing for the most beautiful wedding ever. I have never seen a professional make such a positive impact on such an important day, and it meant so much to the Bridal Party. Shanna – thank you so, so much. We truly appreciate everything.   Best Decision I Made

  Shanna and Mike were absolutely incredible. I haven't even received my photos yet, but the quality of the few I saw so far are outstanding. They were also super excited to take some ridiculous photos with fog machines and wrestling belts, since that was a big thing for my husband. They laughed and went along with all of our craziness. Not only are the photos incredible, but Shanna made me super comfortable, eased all my concerns, and made sure I had nothing to worry about. There was a moment when I felt everything was going wrong, and I would miss some photos, but she reassured me that they would be flexible and still capture everything I wanted. She was like my personal calming coach for the day! She also made me feel even more like a princess than I already felt, which I didn't think was possible. Highly recommend both her and Mike for your wedding day. You will not be disappointed.

  Greatest photographers and couple

  
  I don’t even know where to begin with them. Shanna and Mike made not only our day so special and a breeze but the entire wedding planning process enjoyable. Working with them you will feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera. They work so well together and have the best personalities that balance each other out. They really got to know us and weren’t just interested in doing their job and leaving. They both really pay attention to detail and capture all of the special moments and DIY projects you spent hours working on. They helped make our day run smooth and make sure we enjoyed the moments. I truly wish we could relive our big day because we had so much fun with them but now we have these gorgeous photos to keep our memories alive. Save yourself the headache and contact them today!   i LOVED meeting with them and having the "interview" which turned more into friends hanging out . We talked for over 2 hours about everything. We already knew their work, we wanted to know who they were as people, as we will be spending 10 hours with them on our wedding day. Best decision thus far, booking them for our wedding.

  I can't say enough how amazing Shanna and Mike were! They are a truly incredible team. They were constantly shooting, while making sure everyone was okay. Their help and direction was invaluable. It felt like a good friend was taking photos, which was so comforting. Thank you so much guys! So excited to see the photos and work with you for our album.

  Amazing People & Photography!

  I must first admit, that this review is LONG overdue! Mike (my hubs) and myself both LOVE Shanna and Mike. They are such an incredible couple & their love for each other and photography shines through in their images. We booked them for our wedding this past June and have already recommended them to various friends & family. We first met them on the day of our engagement shoot. Mike (my hubs) was not exactly looking forward to the shoot… he was expecting an awkward session with two strangers placing us in awkward positions. To his surprise, our experience was the complete opposite! Shanna and Mike were so friendly and instantly made us feel comfortable – from talking about our wedding to our shared Amazon shopping problems… they felt like instant friends! When we saw the engagement photos – we were in love! The wedding was no different – it was great having Shanna with the bridal party and Mike with the groomsmen. They captured some awesome moments of the two groups getting ready & helped to keep on us track for our schedule. We decided to do a “first look” and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE those images. I mean I honestly love them all, but I am super happy we did the first look! We had a fairly large wedding party & had a few large family pictures that were requested – Shanna was AWESOME at making sure everyone was gathered and posed quickly AND everyone was actually smiling, eyes opened! Throughout the whole day & night, Shanna & Mike captured SO MANY incredible moments and emotions. We actually had a wedding guest come up to us and say, “Your photographers are awesome, they are everywhere! Every time I turn around they are there.” Watching the slideshow of images on my TV was like reliving our big day all over again. So, so, so many emotions – THANK YOU HOLP, Shanna & Mike, you two are the best… NOW to come up with an excuse for another photoshoot! 😉 PS- the fact that HOLP gives you rights to download/print all images is amazing & just another reason for you to book them- DO IT!

  Shanna and Mike Lubold of House of Lubold Photography were phenomenal! From beginning to end they captured all the happiness of our day with ease. My husband is not big on photos or smiling and they made him so comfortable. Our photos are beautiful and we are so grateful to have such amazing photographers capture our day!

Although we had our initial meeting via Skype because of our schedules, Shanna made us feel completely comfortable. This then translated to making us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera during our engagement session and on our wedding day.

First of all, Mike and Shanna are couple goals! They are so cute together and their love for each other makes you so happy!!   Looking for a photographer to capture such special moments on one of the biggest days of your life was so overwhelming for me. There were so many amazing photographers who have beautiful photos and I looked into a lot of them. I got prices, looked at countless wedding photos, and spent hours on the phone with some of them. I am extremely shy in front of a camera and taking pictures doesn't come so naturally to me (unlike my husband who is a little Calvin Klein model) so I wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with the person we chose.
  
  I ran into House of Lubold's photography Facebook page and, like all other photographers I had looked into, I started looking at their photos. They were absolutely breathtaking. They captured these raw , in the moment moments, and very rarely were they posed. I made my way over to their website and went right for their blog because for 1, I'm a nosey greenhorn, and for 2, I wanted to know a little bit about them. I started laughing reading the blog and this was when I immediately feel in love with House of Lubold. We met Shanna and Mike at a local bar, had nachos and talked about everything from weddings to houses. They were so easy to talk to and I felt like I had known them forever! I truly think anyone can take pictures with a fancy camera, but being able to make a nervous bride feel so at ease and the creativity that comes along with capturing such special moments is something that Shanna and Mike have down to a T. Mikes laid back personality and Shanna's outgoing bubbly personality makes them the perfect pair for any newly engaged couple.

  WOW. Just amazing.
  
  Shanna and Mike were AMAZING to work with. They made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which we thought would not be possible. They clearly love what they do (almost as much as they love each other) and it brought such wonderful positive energy to our wedding day. This might sound cheesy, but It was honestly like having family members as your photographers (family members you actually like, not your weird distant cousins who smell like cheese).
  
  Not only did we have a blast working with them, but we now have the most beautiful wedding pictures to help us remember our day. Every time we look through out pictures, it brings us back to that perfect day, and we feel all warm and fuzzy and lovey. We feel so incredibly lucky to have picked House of Lubold Photography for our wedding.
  
  I can't tell you how many different photographers I researched, most of which were EXTREMELY expensive, unimpressive, or both. A friend at work mentioned that this photographer was at her friends wedding, and she wished that she would have used her as well. I am beyond thrilled that we had them at our wedding, and look forward to using them in the future to capture more of our most important moments.

  Shanna and Mike were AMAZING to work with. They made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, which we thought would not be possible. They clearly love what they do (almost as much as they love each other) and it brought such wonderful positive energy to our wedding day. This might sound cheesy, but It was honestly like having family members as your photographers (family members you actually like, not your weird distant cousins who smell like cheese).

  Shanna and Mike are the best in the game! They are funny yet professional and just awesome to be around! They made a special trip to NYC (where my husband and I reside) for our engagement photos and from that day on I knew how much fun and great they were to work with. Our engagement pictures came out simply fabulous!

  If you are looking for a team of photographers to become a part of your wedding day that you couldn't now imagine the day without them, then call up Shanna and Michael. Beyond the normal list of photos-to-take, every crazy idea we through at them (including my walking to the church and an impromptu excursion to obtain a wedding ice cream cake) was taken with full enthusiasm and all captured beautifully!   My husband and I got married at Bittersweet Farm in Westport Ma in September. Shanna and her husband Mike were AWESOME. They are such down to earth people. Shanna also did our engagement photo shoot which came out so good. Somehow, she captures the best moments. Even when the lighting did not seem well outside, she managed to make it look as if it was so nice and cheery out!   I am very happy that we hired Shanna & Mike to shoot our wedding. For the package price you get so much including a comp engagement session and the rights to the images, 8 hours, and 2 photographers, and they make everything super easy with being able to fill out your questionnaires online and pay online, which just makes things EASY! My husband and I probably had a slight advantage since they also shot my brother in law's wedding last year, so we got to see how they worked before our wedding which was more of an added bonus for us! Shanna & Mike are true professionals and I really wasn't worried about a thing. They showed up early on the wedding day and were on schedule the entire night. Every special request for a photo that we had was taken which I was so happy about. We also got through the family photos quickly which was great because my husband has a very large family so it was great to get through those formalities so they could enjoy cocktail hour! Shanna & Mike are really great to work with- they make you feel like family and have the best personality, so we felt really comfortable the whole time while posing etc. I got my photos back exactly a month after our wedding date which was awesome! We definitely received a ton (over 1000) images back so I am very happy there are so many great options we have for framing/gifting/putting in albums. I loved seeing all the detail shots and seeing the creativity there, as well as the more traditional family shots (which I might add- not a single squint or non-smile in all 20+ of us!!) Overall they are a very fun couple that made us feel so comfortable the entire time. We had so many people that came up to us saying how great they were! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good mix of photos that are a great combination of traditional, creative, and artsy.

  We CANNOT recommend HOLP. For our 4th of July wedding in Cape Cod we wanted a photojournalistic style of photography on a budget. We searched around and HOLP seemed like the perfect balance of artistic images at a competitive cost. We also loved that they were a team - our chances for amazing images doubled. Shanna is very confident and made us feel like there was nothing to worry about.
  While Shanna & Mike are nice people – this review is for their photographs and unfortunately they fell flat. They really struggled with using light, framing images and capturing emotion. I cried when we received our batch of images. My family said they were ok, a coworker said that she heard the wedding was so much fun, but the photos didn’t seem to reflect that. You trust a wedding photographer with capturing your special day and when that trust is broken it is heartbreaking.
  We were baffled about some of the photo choices. Photos of my bridesmaids and mothers getting ready were not flattering. There is not one great photo of my dress. We received many images of guests, with people making strange faces, awkwardly posing, etc. The photo of the cake- forget it. We felt like their approach to event photography is snapping tons of photos and hope some work. We would have preferred a thoughtful photographer.
  When we first spoke with HOLP, they told us that they make formal family photos more interesting- they don’t just have everyone stand in the same spot and rotate family members. Well, that’s exactly what they did! The images are very boring. Our favorite is actually one we asked to be taken.
  We expressed all this to Shanna & Mike and they made a photo book with re-edited photos and iPhone photos from our friends we preferred.
  If you hire HOLP for your wedding there will be no issue of quantity- the issue will be quality. You will be leaving your images to chance. In hindsight I would have paid more for an experienced photographer and avoided disappointment.
