  My wife and I were woefully unprepared for the enormity of putting together a wedding on short notice for our daughter and now son-in law. One issue we had no knowledge of how to tackle was the photographer. I researched what to expect from a wedding photographer and felt we were in for a huge expense. In fact, I surmised from my research that if a wedding photographer comes cheap then expect to be disappointed or swindled. Fortunately I, and my research was wrong. My wife found Guy Perkins (www.FlamingMoonMedia.com) through Craigslist and we saw that he offered the best prices for a wedding photographer apart from having a friend or family member do the job. I was skeptical until we met. Guy is both personable and professional. He is very easy to get a hold of and has legitimate answers to all questions. Guy is also the epitome of someone that takes everything in stride. My daughter lives in Tacoma while we were having the wedding at the wonderful Bell Tower Chapel in Boring, OR. Guy communicated with all of us, setting up all photo shoots and getting them done. The day of the wedding is when we realized the true skill and patience of Guy. He never stopped moving, kept the process going without being pushy and even helped set up the dance floor without being asked. Finally, the pictures and movies are phenomenal. I am not a very sentimental person but even I was moved by the beauty and elegance of what Guy produced. My wife and I feel that Guy is no longer a contractor but a part of our family and he helped share a very special day for us. If you want an exceptionally talented and professional wedding photographer for an incredible price then look for Flaming Moon Media on Craigslist for Portland, OR or at www.FlamingMoonMedia.com. My family will recommend Guy to everyone that asks.

  Guy Perkins did an amazing job at our wedding. He was flexible when me and my girls were running a little behind. With less then optimal space and time he shot some of the most breathtaking and fun pictures of our special day. He captures the type of couple you are so well while still getting some timeless and traditional shots. His price, personality and professionalism were on point. Highly recommend him to anyone!

  Guy was absolutely amazing, the price was great and he went above and beyond our expectations. He made our engagement shoot fun and the pictures were absolutely beautiful. The wedding was a mad house, but he made sure we got lots of pictures to remember it by. He came before the wedding and did lots of pics of me and my girls getting ready. We loved his personality and before the wedding even happened we considered him more of a friend then anything else. I would definelty recomend him to anyone!

  Guy told us he was practically a wedding planner and would make sure he got all the important shots at our wedding. He said he specialized in videography. We told him that wasn't in our budget and he said he would shoot video in case we changed our mind but he would have an assistant so it would not detract from him getting good photos. Guy told us he would be there "all day" to shoot my girls and I getting ready, then sent me an e-mail saying he would be there at 2p.m., our ceremony was at 5. He showed up significantly late because he couldn't find us despite me sending him an email with the exact address, which he responded to. We did change the location at the last minute, but he replied when I sent him the new address! He had the nerve to blame me, on my wedding day, for his inattention to detail. He did not have an assistant. He was not fun to work with, nor was he creative. He took my dad's boutonniere and pinned it on him himself then had me pretend to do it for pictures. He told me I used up all my husband's time for photos.He interrupted our first dance and dances with parents to take photos. There are almost no professional quality photos from our reception and pre wedding photos look staged and awkward. I was so sad when I sat down and looked through them that I cried. The most heartbreaking part, he did not get a single photo of us with our 12 month old son. I asked for half our money back to stage family bridal photos. He said he would give us a full refund after we returned the discs. We did. Several weeks later he sent them back to us and told us there was nothing wrong with them, no refund. Overall, very unprofessional and poor quality. I feel like he took advantage of us trying to work inside a strict budget and we most definitely did not get what we paid for.
