    Great tastes

    We had heard mixed reviews about cakes by Karen but throughly enjoyed their work for our wedding! We ordered a two tear wedding cake and kolackys. All was phenomenal!

    Amazing wedding cake!

    Karen and her staff helped create our wedding cake on 10-27-18. We were able to come and enjoy such a yummy tasting for cake selections. I brought some ideas of our cake and she was able to describe what they use for certain details and pricing. Very accommodating and affordable. I dropped off my decorations/cake toppers with Karen to help picture what we might like. The first time we saw it at the reception was priceless!! Better than we could have ever expected, just perfect!!! Cake was delicious and we also had a gluten free cake that was scrumptious :) Thank you for your masterpiece and making our wedding the best!!     Excellent cake!! Flavors and fillings are wonderful and not too sweet. The staff is helpful, fun, and respectful. They are cake artists!

    Our wedding cake came out exactly as the pictures I provided! Cakes by Karen did a great job and I highly recommend them!

    Cakes by Karen created the perfect wedding cake for us based on what we wanted. The cake was delivered in pristine condition and all of our guests said that it was beautiful. Cakes by Karen truly stands out because not only do they create cakes that look great, but the taste is amazing. We had the French vanilla with creme brulee filling for our wedding, but I have had numerous other cake flavors from them before and each one is fantastic!

    I would recommend this bakery to anyone! I was in love our first appt. They are extremely flexible, and contacted me back right away when I had any questions whether it be via email or by phone.

    Our cake was so gorgeous! Karen is seriously one of the best around. We simply showed her a picture of the cake we liked and she took that idea and made it even better. Our cake tastings were excellent and the entire group at Cakes by Karen were great. Not to mention, the cake was SO delicious!

    We got cupcakes for our wedding and they were delicious! We didn't have a single cupcake leftover and we had 25 more cupcakes than we had people!

    I gave Karen three different pictures of cakes that I liked from Pinterest. Through chatting, she determined what I liked on each cake the best and combined the layers into one fabulous cake! It was so beautiful! AND delicious! I had several guests rave about the taste of our cake. My only compliant is that we didn't plan for second servings and had no leftovers! I can't wait to order another cake from Karen. The value, the beauty and flavor of her cakes are second to none!

    BEST CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD! My wedding cake style consisted of a small cake for cutting and over 150 cupcakes on a tiered stand. It looked so beautiful I didn't want to touch it! The cake itself was fantastic and received so many compliments from my guests. I will definitely be back for an anniversary cake! Hopefully for some sooner than that though! Thank you!

    I was very happy with my Gluten Free Wedding Cake. It was perfectly simple and exactly like the picture. In addition, I also got a regular sheet cake and gluten free cupcakes. All was delicious and there were dozens of compliments! :) Thank you!

    Our cake came out absolutely perfect! We had a beautiful, elegant looking cake. We went to several bakeries in the NWI area and Cakes by Karen had the best prices. We had so many complements on how amazing our cake was. Tammi really helped with stay with our budget, but still having the cake of our dreams for our special day. We highly recommend Cakes by Karen for weddings or any occasion.

    Thank you Karen for making my beautiful gluten free wedding cake!!! It not only was beautiful on the outside, but absolutely delicious!!!! All the guests raved how good the cake tasted...not even realizing it was gluten free!!!! I look forward to our next event, you will definitely be utilized for our future events!!!!

    My cake was awesome!! I went in with a few different pictures and ideas I needed blended together. "Tammy 2" did an awesome job with the decorations and the cake tasted great! I have received several compliments on it and the way it looked. It was perfect!!! Thank you!

    Our cake came out absolutely perfect! We had a beautiful, elegant looking cake. The top cake was gluten free for my wife while we had regular cupcakes for everyone else. The cake/cupcakes looked phenomenal and tasted wonderful! No complaints! We would highly recommend!!

    Our wedding cake looked amazing... Exactly what I asked for and more. It was spectacular looking and tasting as well. They were so accommodating when we had our tasting and wow do they make delicious cakes.

    Simply Superb ... Everyone, and I do mean everyone loved our wedding cake. The staff at Karen's were very accommodating to our specific needs. We also ordered our groom's cake and pastry trays from them. After trying several bakeries in the area, we have found that Karen's is the best. Other family members have mentioned that from now on, all cakes needed for events will be through them. We will not go elsewhere. Love, Love, Love them.

    I loved my cake! I actually worked with Tammy 1 and Tammy 2, Karen's daughter and another coworker, and both of those ladies were amazing! Our taste test consisted of about 4-5 different cakes, each with a filling, but we could have asked to try more at a later date. Included in the price of the cake was 2 different flavors of cake, each with filling, so we chose a layer of French Vanilla with Creme Brulee filling and Chocolate with Chocolate Mousse filling. The cake was very light and delicious! They have a Special Blend icing that has the look of fondant, but with the buttercream icing flavor. Cakes by Karen kept me informed the whole time about the process and what they needed, and kept making sure my cake was exactly how I wanted it. Although they only accept cash, for weddings they do accept checks, and will even let you place orders for additional sheet cakes up to a week in advance. I will definitely use Cakes by Karen again, and recommend them to others!

    Excellent! I cannot think of one bad thing about Cakes by Karen. Tammy was so helpful, very professional and down to earth. They provided some samples for the tasting of their most popular flavors. When we wanted to taste a flavor - raspberry mousse, which I HIGHLY recommend, with french vanilla cake - they made more samples for us to pick up a few days later. They allowed us to get two different flavors. The cake looked exactly like the picture we gave to them as our inspiration. We paid a $10 or $15 fee for them to add fresh flowers we used in the centerpieces to the cake, which sounds like a lot, but the end product ended up being so beautiful. The cake is honestly, hands down the BEST cake I've ever had (we've even gotten cupcakes again). It is so moist and flavorful EVERY TIME. They are a true value when it comes to wedding cake. You'll only be sorry if you don't go to Cakes by Karen for your wedding cake.
