  I was worried that finding our wedding photographer would be a really stressful process. Fortunately, I was so wrong, because my husband found Blacktie Photography. From our first meeting with David, we knew he was our photographer. His work was beautiful, he was very professional, but also really fun. He shot our engagement photos and our wedding and we were not disappointed. David goes above and beyond to get creative and interesting shots (I truly wish I had a photo of him on the back of a bicycle built for two taking our engagement photos on Venice Beach). Our wedding pictures were absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend Blacktie Photography to anyone!

  Everything from A to Z was amazing about David. I booked David based on all the glowing reviews here and I'm happy to be adding to them! Our pictures were stunning. David captures moments that I didn't even realize happened during our wedding day! I could not imagine our wedding day without him now, and I am so glad for wedding wire that we found him. He essentially became part of our wedding. By the end of the night he knew everyones names and was basically partying with us while taking photos.
  
  Our photos are absolutely breathtaking, my husband and I are in love! When meeting with David for the first time, he gave us tips regarding vendors and our wedding day that made everything just go so much smoother. We got married at the Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank and after seeing our photos, they asked if they can feature us in their marketing materials, so cool! I could not recommend him more.

  When we first started searching for photographers a friend of mine gave me amazing advice that I think everyone will benefit from. She said, when looking for a wedding photographer, find someone who matches your personality. Because at the end of the day, this photographer will be with you guys the whole day, from the getting ready to the dancing at the end.
  
  With that advice in mind, I started my search, and after meeting David, everything just clicked. My husband and I both loved his personality and we connected on several different levels. Not to mention that we already loved his worth coming into the meeting, our personality match was the icing on the cake.
  During the wedding day David really helped take all the stress away. He was fun and energetic and that personality really reflected on our wedding photos. I honestly wish I can give him 10 stars, it was such an amazing day and he played such a big part of our wedding!

We had a GIANT Armenian wedding at the Sherwood Country club and David not only handled our massive family photos like a champ, he also made sure to put everyone in their place. Herding cats is not easy, especially when there is alcohol to consume right around the corner.
  
  My husband found David as he was in charge of finding photographers and I am so thankful he did. David's photos really stood out and had so much energy that when he showed me his portfolio I said we MUST meet this guy ASAP! Surely enough, his personality was just as amazing as his photos. It's refreshing to see someone so passionate about what they do and also care so much about your wedding day. Our photos are filled with love, happiness and energy that I don't think could have been captured by anyone else. If there was an option to give 20 stars I think it would do David justice, because 5 stars just doesn't seem like enough to me.

  After reading reviews online for David, I thought to myself, people are getting a little carried away, no? Nope! David is freaking amazing! We didn't look for wedding photographers for too long before finding David, but once we met with him, we closed him on the spot so no one else takes our date.
  
  My husband and I came to the meeting with David armed with a million and seventeen questions, and not only did he answer them all patiently, but he also helped us with finding other vendors, and what to look for in a vendor. Everything from florists to coordinators, and even helped us find a venue (we went with the Laguna Cliffs Marriott in Dana Point).
  
  We just got our photos back last week and I don't even know where to begin in terms of posting, framing, sharing. The Photos came out stunning, and when we went through them for the first time, we really relived our wedding day again. David captured the whole wedding day beautifully and with amazing creativity. Him and his second shooter, Isaac were absolute rockstars during our 15 hour day!
  I feel like a broken record on here by saying David was a dream to work with. His positive energy really guided the wedding day. I feel a little bad for the coordinator we hired because no one really turned to her to any direction throughout the day, rather everyone just followed David around and worked around him.
  
  We absolutely loved him, our parents both loved him, and our guests did too. I think someone else mentioned it in another review, but David really became part of the party after the ceremony. Dancing and taking pictures at the same time. We could not have chosen a more warm, personable and amazing person to spend our wedding day with. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, David!

  We initially booked David to shoot our wedding in Santa Monica, but ended up moving our wedding to Portland, Oregon because some of my family had a hard time flying down to cali for health reasons. Now I couldn't have my wedding without my grandma, so we moved our wedding to her. This was a decision that was super last minute, as we had already put down a deposit for shutters on the beach and almost sent out invites (thankfully we procrastinated with those!).
  
  David was super accommodating with the change. He had absolutely no issues flying to Portland to shoot our wedding and it really took a load off our backs. We didn't want to go through the process of finding another photographer, and we had already done our engagement shoot with David and really didn't want anyone else capturing our wedding day but him!
  
  So our wedding day came and went like a flash, and David's photos told our story perfectly. There was so much emotion in the photos, and so much happiness, and honestly, I have David's photos to remember everything by because that day was just such a surreal blur. Our photos are absolutely perfect, I absolutely recommend David to everyone looking for that right photographer.
  
  One quick thing to mention about our engagement session. We originally didn't want an engagement session, but when we found out it already came in our package, we said why the heck not, and we are so glad we did. During the engagement photos, we had time to really get to know David. He made us feel very comfortable in front of his camera, and the pictures were absolutely stunning, not to mention fun!

  Words cannot effectively describe how much we loved having David and Isaac as our wedding photographers. From beginning to end it was such a pleasure having him as part of the team, and more often than not it felt like he was the team captain...at my own wedding! After booking our venue (The Langham Huntington in Pasadena), our number 1 priority was finding a photographer that we meshed with. After meeting David we knew he was the one to photograph our wedding, but we really didn't expect to form a lifelong friend on top of that.
  
  I was under a lot of stress during the planning, but I always turned to David for help whenever I got lost. He referred us to some amazing vendors and really guided us throughout the whole process. It was like having a photographer and wedding coordinator in one. His knowledge about everything that has to do with weddings was far greater than ours. He's a true pro!
  
  Now for the photos. My husband and I are in awe over them. Simply, stunning! We both felt so comfortable with him shooting us throughout the day that at some point we forgot he was even there. He took charge of the wedding day and like another bride said below me, he guided all the vendors and they all worked around him. He also took charge of family photos, our bridal party and even made sure we were on time for everything else.
  
  In terms of a wedding photographer, David is truly a professional, in terms of everything else, he's an amazing person to work with!

I met with about 10 different photographers, but going with David was such an easy decision, that I don't even know why I kept of meeting photographers, I think I just felt bad about canceling a meeting and wanted to do my due diligence.
  
  My husband and I went to visit David at his studio and simply fell in love with his personality and energy. He was such a fun person to work with and we were both floored when we got our photos back!
  During the wedding day he really took charge of everything, and really guided everyone throughout the whole day. Other vendors would actually come to ask him questions about logistics instead of the coordinator, and even though we were running late, he made sure to get every possible shot.
  We also did our engagement shoot with him and we absolutely love the photos! During the brainstorming process for the shoot, he found an AMAZING secluded beach in Malibu, which is great because my husband and I don't like having our photos taken and are very shy in front of people. He made us feel so comfortable and we had such a good time with him.
  
  I cannot recommend him more!

We just got our albums 2 weeks ago and we could not stop looking at them. David and his team really are top notch wedding photographers.

  I got married at the SmogShoppe in Los Angeles this past April and couldn't imaging my big day without David. He was really the life of the party leading to the party. By that I mean, he made the getting ready photos, bridesmaids and groomsmen photos and even the family photos so much freaking fun! As soon as he came to our hotel (we got ready at the JW Marriott in LA Live) it was as if he brought everyone back to life. It was a little slow because it was still the morning and we stayed up much later than we wanted to, but like other brides on here said, his energy is infectious!
  
  The result? Some amazing photos that I will cherish forever.

  This review is seriously long overdue, so I'll make it quick.
  David was absolutely incredible. First off, his response speed is unlike any vendor i've worked with. I would email him a question and he would get back to be within 5 minutes tops.
  When my husband and I first met him at his studio my husband developed a man crush right away. They started talking about some star wars nonsense for about 15 minutes before returning to the topic of our wedding. After meeting him, we had a few other photographer meetings lines up which my husband insisted I cancel. It was match at first sight!
  
  On the wedding day David and Issac were absolute pros. David really connected with both our wedding parties (bridesmaids and groomsmen) and actually managed to get the groomsmen in check for all photos. He kept the photos very fun and lively and the result were some awesome unique photos that really made our day so much more special. By the time the reception rolled around it was as if David was partying with us, except with a camera in his hand!
  
  Our photos came out stunning! I get nonstop compliments on them, and we are simply in love with them :)

  Out of all my wedding vendors, David was by far my favorite!
  He was so much to work with!
  My husband and I are very fun and outgoing people, far from those serious types, and what made me initially call david was the fact that all his customers said he was FUN!
  
  And fun he was indeed.
  Both our engagement and our wedding went flawlessly. Our photos came out amazing and I could not have asked for a better photographer.

  My wife and I were extremely pleased with our wedding photos. Both David and Ben were very professional, friendly and filled with energy which really showed in the photos.
  I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family

  It's been almost a year since my wedding, and I cannot believe I am just writing this review right now.
  David came highly recommended from one of my girls that got married just a few month before me, and I would highly recommend him to everyone I know.
  Amazing photo quality, and an amazing person to deal with.

  David photographed our wedding about a year ago, this review is late but always later then never.
  David shot our wedding and also our trash the dress session shortly afterward. My parents, our guests, my husband and myself were all extremely happy with David at the wedding. He engaged our guests, was very polite, friendly and funny and our photos showed just how much fun everyone had (also thanks for the open bar!)
  I work with David until now with my small business - hes a charm!

  I first contacted blacktie photography via email. I got a call back within 20 minutes from David.
  He was really fun and easy to talk to on the phone so we set up a meeting in his studio.
  My maid of honor and I met David and Ben and I knew they were the ones I wanted to shoot my wedding right away. And indeed they were.
  Our photos were fantastic. They even made a short video (about 3 minutes) of our wedding for no extra charge.
  I felt comfortable having them roaming around me for the first half of the day and my guests really hit it off with them.
  Just a great photography duo they are. I could not have asked for more.

  My guests connected with both of them right away, calling them over to take silly pictures, conversing with them on the downtime and just having a good time, which really showed in the pictures.
  Looking back at my wedding pictures just gives me joy inside. It was just one awesome party and I'm very happy to have had Blacktie Photography there to capture all the special memories!

  My wife and I were thrilled to have David (Blacktie Photography) as our photographer. We heard so many good things about him from a few friends that have used him in the past.
  The album David put together was amazing. It now proudly sits on our coffee table for all our guests to peruse through.
