We Recommend Barron and Barron Photography
Barron and Barron Photography has captured every important milestone in our family for the past eighteen years, including my daughter's wedding in July. It rained during her wedding, and Dave was able to work around the weather to get great photos. He captured the keepsake family photos and spontaneous moments during the reception. They provided a few sneak peek pictures the day after the wedding. The electronic file of images was ready in less than two weeks. I would recommend this photographer.Barron and Barron Photography has captured every important milestone in our family for the past eighteen years, including my daughter's wedding in July. Amazing photos!
The short version: we got almost 900 absolutely gorgeous photos from our wedding with less than a month turn around time. Digitaly downloadable. All the special moments were captured. I would go with Barron and Barron a hundred times over.
The not so short version: Dave did a fabulous job!! Despite my best efforts the wedding day did not go as scheduled. I got into my dress 45 minutes later than I wanted to which pushed back the first look and all the pics. But save used that time to get amazing pics of the groom and groomsmen, all my accessories, my dress outside. The groom with his parents. Amazing. Once I finally got In my dress and we got rolling he was so diligent with our time. His wife also came and assisted - Bonnye. She was super sweet- made sure my train and veil looked good in all the pictures and returned all my accessories to me. Dave worked flawlessly with the videographers. Got AMAZING pics of the ceremony. Caught all the special moments. Honestly I don’t even remember seeing him when I walked down the isle but he got awesome shots of it! And then after the ceremony- I had made a “shot list” of all the family that was supposed to be in what pic but no one was able to follow my notes so things got a little discombobulated but Dave was patient and kept right on trucking.
He caught all the details of the reception- is walking in, chatting with guests, the cake cutting, the toasts, the dances. The pictures are just amazing.
I know I’m kind of partial because it’s my wedding and all but seriously I think these pics could be in a magazine. We cannot say enough about the exemplary service and final product we received from Dave and his team. From start to finish, we felt extremely confident in Dave’s abilities, and his skills shine through in the final photos! Prior to the wedding Dave gave us great, honest advice about timing and the different services he offers. He patiently talked me through our wedding day about my expectations and crafted the perfect plan to get the most of our photos. On the day of the wedding Dave was prompt, charismatic but professional, fast and effective! I couldn’t believe how many shots he was able to get. He and his assitant Jon were always in the right places to catch every moment. They both had a wonderful demeanor; they made photo-taking fun and were even able to get small children (and unruly groomsmen) to focus and smile! Most importantly, Dave knew without me telling him what photos needed to come next and thought of things I didn’t even know I would want! He managed the process based on my guidance, but also proactively with the right amount of professional discretion so I didn’t feel like I was working or directing as the bride. He easily accommodated requests that I made on the spot, without question. We were always on time, also. That is what you want in a professional photographer on your wedding day.
The photos came back quickly, and they are absolutely GORGEOUS!! We don’t have a single complaint. Everything was beautifully captured and edited... truly, we are thrilled with the final product. There is a balance of modern, fun, traditional, editorial shots; a mix of angles and styles is exactly what I asked for. You can trust that Dave will execute what you request. Our friends and family say they are some of the best wedding photos they’ve seen. You simply won't find a better photographer. David Barron has such an amazing talent, both artistically and technically. His are not your run-of-the-mill wedding photos. They run the gamut from the traditional to the artistic. On top of that, he is so personable and so much fun to work with. He makes everyone feel at ease and comfortable in front of his camera. We were so impressed and happy with the engagement photos that Ryan's mom hired him to do family portraits of their soon-to-be-larger family. These were just as amazing as we had anticipated. And then it came time for the Bridal portraits. After two portrait sessions, our expectations were very high. And as high as they were, he surpassed them! Our favorite actually left people speechless with their jaw dropped. Once they could speak, most of them simply said "Breathtaking!" Or they would gasp and say "Oh my! That is amazing!" Of course, all of this was building up to the Big Day! The wedding photos captured our beach wedding to perfection. We let him choose the time for the ceremony to begin so he would have wonderful light. And the sunset cooperated beautifully. People want to know if the post-ceremony photos are in front of a backdrop because the sunset was so dazzling. No, the sky actually looked like that and Dave captured the sunset just perfectly. At the reception, it seemed he was always in the right spot at the right time. He was able to capture the emotions of the evening as well as the fun. We would highly recommend him for portraits of all kinds, and of course to create an amazing photo gallery of your wedding. Even though we live more than three hours away, we will not mind the drive to book him for any of our future photographic needs. Barron & Barron (Dave and Bonnye) is hands down the most amazing photographer! Dave has an art of capturing the most fabulous moments! Dave took our engagement pictures, bridal pictures and of course played a vital role in our big wedding day :) Dave's photos are superb and we were more than happy with the way our engagement and bridal pictures turned out. Dave has such a fun personality that is contagious. Even today, weeks after the wedding, all of our family and friends are ranting and raving over how fabulous our photographer was and how they can't wait to see how our pictures turn out from our wedding. I just know they are going to be amazing!

Dave & Bonnye Barron are magnificent photographers. I had a difficult task of living in Dallas and planning a wedding in Galveston. I was hesitant with getting just any photographer, knowing that my wedding pictures last for a lifetime. When I saw a bridal portrait, taken by Barron & Barron, in Island Flowers, I just had to know who the photographer was. Connie raved about Barron & Barron and I knew I had to book them! Luckily, they were available – as my wedding was only 6 months away! Dave and Bonnye were so kind and warm from the first time we spoke. They really took the time to determine my style, personality, and needs. They were very willing and capable to work with my hectic schedule and me. So, we booked my bridals! Hotel Galvez offered a beautiful background and they knew that venue like the back of their hand! I never felt rushed and enjoyed every minute of the bridal portrait session. And the results, oh my…my bridal portraits were absolutely magnificent. We decided to order two prints, in the largest size – of course everything has to be big and elaborate on the wedding day! Dave was so kind to work with my mother and I and our separate needs, as I wanted a black frame –out of stock, and my mother wanted a brown frame – in stock. He was able to get the pictures printed and framed before the wedding! He was amazing! Now for the wedding day…they arrived right on schedule and worked their behinds off! Bonnye was even four months pregnant! Now if that doesn’t exude commitment, I’m not sure what does. The pictures turned our amazing. And as they all say, they day did fly by. However, I had two remarkable photographers that were able to capture every second of my fairytale wedding. Dave & Bonnye are amazing. Dave and Bonnye Barron were absolutely amazing... My husband and I are from North Central Texas and chose the task of having a destination wedding in Galveston. Dave and Bonnye made things really easy for us. We first met them at the Bridal Expo in Galveston and the two were very professional and eager to answer all of our questions. After we booked Barron & Barron, my husband and I felt a sense of peace knowing that all of our pictures during this special time in our lives were in good hands. We could not have asked for a better engagement session. Dave spent about 3 hours with us, walking the streets of Galveston and taking a variety of pictures. He made the day exciting and fun and knew exactly how to make us take the perfect picture. The Barron's also made our wedding day stress-free and knew exactly how to interact with our friends and family to capture perfect memories. Even though our wedding day seemed to "fly by", we will always have our beautiful pictures from Barron & Barron to look at and to remember the best day of our lives. I used Barron & Barron for our wedding. We had a ceremony on one day and the reception on another day and they were extremely flexible and accommodating. They were fun and creative and our pictures are absolutely stunning. I loved working with them and recommend them every chance I get. I fully plan on using them again for their other photography services. They created a slide show for us of the ceremony to be played at the reception which was absolutely stunning and their ad on their facebook page of our wedding was also AMAZING! I have received nothing but compliments on our pictures and LOVED working with this husband and wife team :) My only regret is that we don't get the rights to our pictures and there isn't an option to purchase those rights. Barron and Barron do really creative, modern work and managed to capture each moment of my wedding in a unique way. They are very willing to work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want, and took all of my requests seriously. One of the best things about them is that they go above and beyond to get everything possible out of your photo-shoot/wedding- their passion for their work was very obvious.
Instead of the old-school, stiff wedding album you will get a work of art- beautiful, emotional, and unlike any one else's! I LOVE my album, and I get so many compliments on it. It's worth the money!Barron and Barron do really creative, modern work and managed to capture each moment of my wedding in a unique way. They are very willing to work with you to make sure you get exactly what you want, and took all of my requests seriously. Terrible service
Terrible terrible terrible! After he shot out wedding pictures, Dave was impossible to get ahold of. After many calls and emails it took months and months just to set up an appointment to get our albums. If we didn't already pay for our albums I would have said screw it. Then he told us we would get out albums in a month.... Wrong. Took another 6 months. If we called him to check on the status of our albums, he wouldn't answer the phone or call us back. Just terrible customer service and didn't seem to even phase him.Terrible terrible terrible! After he shot out wedding pictures, Dave was impossible to get ahold of. Did not get what I paid for
Please don’t use this company for your big day you will regret it!
I came across him at the Galveston Bridal Show, where I left my name and contact info. I was later contacted saying I won a free engagement session. When I went to meet with him (Dave) I later found out that the only way to collect on this "free" engagement session is to book him for you wedding. So I ended up using him for my engagement photos and wedding. It turned out to be an absolute nightmare. Yes, the pictures were beautiful, but Dave stood us up on the first scheduled engagement shoot (which should have been a sign). Then didn't bring the sign-in book to the wedding which was included in our package and was supposed to have pictures of our engagement in it (so I had no sign-in book). And lastly, I never got my wedding album. He chalked it all up to an error on the computer system he had just started using that didn't charge correctly for all the things itemized on my receipt. He even had the nerve to tell me that if I wanted an album he'd give it to me for half off at the low low price of an additional $1325.
He made it sound like it was all one big misunderstanding but a couple years later my best friend's sister-in-law hired him for her wedding (which I warned my BF to tell her she was making a grave mistake). Guess what!?! She can't seem to get her album either.
I paid him a little over $3K and was taken advantage of and you will too if you use his services. I included the email I received from the photographer that has the itemized list of what I bought and paid for. I didn’t get my sign in book, the luxe wedding album, or the parent album listed in the receipt.Please don’t use this company for your big day you will regret it!
