We had our wedding at The Umstead Hotel and it was absolutely incredible. From the very beginning it was clear we were working with a team that truly knows how to take care of people. Planning a wedding can feel overwhelming, but they made the entire process feel organized, calm, and easy every step of the way. The setting could not be more beautiful. The property feels peaceful and private, surrounded by trees and the lake, and it creates such a special atmosphere for a wedding. Everything about the space feels elegant without feeling over the top. Our guests kept commenting on how stunning the venue was and how much they loved being there. What really made the experience stand out was the staff. They operate at a completely different level. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism, and they made the entire day run smoothly from start to finish. We never felt rushed or stressed and were able to truly enjoy the day with our family and friends. The food was also outstanding. It was genuinely fantastic and far better than what most people expect from a large event. Several of our guests told us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. If you are considering getting married anywhere in the Triangle, The Umstead is hard to beat. The combination of the setting, the service, and the overall experience made it the perfect place for us to get married. We are incredibly grateful to their team for making the day so special.

My wife and I got married here last year and we can't say enough good things about MacGregor Downs! The staff is amazing, they truly care about making sure you have a great experience every time you come here! Bryana who helped handle our wedding was amazing! She made the whole process stress free thinking of all the small things and executing everything with the wonderful staff. The food here is truly great, even when they are cooking for over 100 people for a wedding the quality and taste was amazing. The chef sat down with us to help us pick our menu and tweak things exactly how we liked! To this day we still have friends and family commenting on how great the food was! The whole property and venue is beautiful, from the old school clubhouse to the outdoor patio, and outdoor wedding ceremony on the lake, it made our wedding night even more special. Having a venue where we could utilize multiple spaces for the different parts of the wedding evening was very special, and being able to get married with a beautiful lake backdrop was the cherry on top. We truly can't thank Bryana and the MacGregor Downs staff enough for everything they did to make our wedding here a 10/10.

The hotel was such a great spot to have our reception. Stephanie helped us throughout the whole process and the staff was super helpful. My family was very happy with the end result and having a place to stay. 😁

I can’t even begin to describe how INCREDIBLE Donovan Manor is. We toured and booked before it was done being built but we trusted the vision and man was it worth it! The views are stunning. So many photo ops! The attention to detail here is incredible you can tell they thought of absolutely everything as they were building it! It’s elegant and luxurious and simply stunning. The whole team at Donovan is incredible! Zoe was wonderful and ensured we had the best day! They even left me a hand written note in my suite! The hospitality is unmatched! We loved Donovan and all our guests can’t stop raving about the beauty of this venue and the incredible staff! They truly care about their couples and It shows! Also a huge plus they have onsite parking! If you are looking for a timeless and elegant venue with an incredible team stop looking and book Donovan she truly is that girl! 🤍

I strongly recommend choosing Sassool for your wedding catering needs. Out of all of the caterers we looked at in the area, Sassool's prices were not only incredibly reasonable, they absolutely blew us out of the water with food and service. The communication was prompt and thorough. We exchanged so many emails back and forth and the detail in which they kept to ensure our needs were met was impressive to say the least; almost as good as the food. The food they provided was so amazing folks were raving about the entire night. They did not skip out on portions and instead made sure folks had more than enough food from every option available. Even with the salmon, I wasn't sure how it would travel since it was about 40 minutes away but it was phenomenal. If you are looking for great food, great communication, and great service please look no further and choose Sassool. Gabi thank you and your team again for us it was incredible.

We wouldn’t have had a more perfect wedding without the Lauren and staff. Lauren kept in communication, delivered as promised, and really put 100% effort in to make our day special. No worries at all, just smiles. I’m so thankful for the entire staff and the work put in on our special day.

We had a room block for our wedding at the Embassy Suites. All of our guests had nothing but good things to stay about the hotel and the staff!

We really enjoyed our wedding reception at One Eleven Place. Mary Rachel was easy to work with, and put us at ease when it came to planning our reception here. It was really nice to be able to reserve the entire building for the evening, so we didn't have to worry about any interference from other guests/events.

We had a great time at our reception! The dinner was absolutely amazing, we got so many compliments on the quality of the food! The cake was incredible too! Lisa was so attentive during our reception as well! She made sure that we got enough to eat and was very on top of our schedule and set up! We had an amazing time and our guests did too.

My partner and I got married in October 2024 at the Matthews House, and it was one of the easiest decisions we made in the wedding process. From the beginning, Sarah (owner and lead coordinator) was detail-oriented, personable, and asked all the right questions to ensure our day would be everything we had dreamed of. No matter our question, Sarah's responses were always timely, understanding, and distinctly caring. The venue itself was perfect for our wedding (75 people). With a perfect flow from the house to the garden, then the patio to the reception hall, we continuously got complimented on how beautiful the venue was and how EASY it was for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves in the warm atmosphere the house and its staff provide. The venue itself is gorgeous and cohesive, but not lacking a lovely variety of backgrounds in the slightest. The different environments let us and our other vendors play with tone in each different part of the event, which also helped with flow (you can see this in our photos, done by the incomparable Two Roads North Photography). I couldn't recommend this place more. Sincerely lovely.
