We had our daughter's December wedding reception inside Cromaine Hall and it was stunning! All of the white lights and tastefully done Christmas decor made the place gorgeous. The wood burning, stone fireplaces were such a warm and cozy addition to an already beautiful evening. The food was delicious, the staff was very helpful and friendly. We opted for the Gourmet Coffee & Hot Cocoa bar and it was a hit! The guests really appreciated that extra fun touch on a cold night. We would not hesitate to recommend Waldenwoods to any bride & groom looking for an exceptional and beautiful reception.

We booked our wedding date over a year in advance so of course we got the day we wanted. I being married in a catholic church there where somethings (classes) that we had to take before the wedding, and we had to complete them before a certain time, but since we started with the church so early we also started getting the classes we had to take out of the way early so as our wedding day got closer we didn't have to worry about it. The only fee for the church was a donation, which was a lot cheaper then if we had, had the wedding outside the church.

Finding the venue for our wedding was by far the most stressful task of wedding planning for us. I wanted something classy and timeless but not stuffy, and it had to be affordable. My husband and I were paying for everything ourselves and had a tight budget. It was the best decision we made for our wedding to go with the Howell Opera House. It was by far the most gorgeous venue we looked, it has so much character, and it was the most affordable place we found. $1400 flat fee plus $150 (I think) for the ceremony. It was a bit of a hike for us but well worth it and all of our guest loved it. Sharon is the contact person and she is so nice and flexible. She helped us so much at the rehearsal dinner since our officiant was a family member and we basically had no clue what we were doing. You have to pick one of their catering options and we went with CC Catering (the cheapest option) and had a Mexican buffet. The food was AMAZING and people were raving all night about how cool the venue was and how incredible the food was. You also supply your own liquor, and even with the extra purchase of liquor insurance and a bartender (both required, $150 & 15/per hour respectfully) this still saved us thousands. Everything about the night was amazing and the photos you get in the opera house look like they belong in a magazine. I couldn't image a better place and can't recommend it enough!

Block Brewing Co. was the perfect location for our wedding reception! We were set on finding a brewery for our reception because we love craft beer, and Block won out because it had a large banquet hall, delicious BBQ catering, and great craft beer on tap. The rental cost is very affordable because the only expense is catering and alcohol, but the banquet hall has its own lighting and sound system so you don't need to hire a professional DJ. Another way you save money is they provide all tables, chairs, tablecloths, cake cutting and table settings. The catering is BBQ buffet, so we served baked chicken, pulled pork, corn bread, mac and cheese and green beans, which was all fantastic! The beer is also amazing, which was really important to my husband and I as we chose a venue. The event coordinators, Karen and Keith, were incredibly flexible and helpful before and during the wedding. Overall we were so happy with our choice to celebrate at Block.
