String of Pearls was the band for my Memorial Day May 28, 2018 outdoor garden boho brunch wedding! Since we love the violin and guitar instrumentals, so we hired their violin and guitar duo. Their work is highly admirable for the price. I worked with Susan, who has many decades of experience as a violinist. She is very professional and personable! She is very responsive to messages and was very easy to work with from day one and on all the details leading up to our wedding day! She is great at suggesting songs and offering feedback on the flow of songs for the procession, ceremony, and recession. I really wanted to hear Carla Bruni's song Quelqu'un m'a dit for the procession, and the duo learned it in no time. Lastly, I got married at the Woodend Nature Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD where the duo has experience playing there previously numerous times. Thus there was no need for a walk through given her familiarity with the venue. For those wondering here's my song list: Guest arrival: Gypsy Jazz, World Music, La Vie en Rose, Air on G Procession: Quelqu'un m'a dit by Carla Bruni Arrival of the Bride: Canon in D by Pachelbel Recession: Better Together by Jack Johnson First Dance: All of Me by John Legend Mother of the Groom and Groom Dance: You are the Sunshine of my Life by Stevie Wonder Father of the Bride and Bride Dance: Forever Young by Rod Stewart Reception: Mix of World Music, Gypsy Jazz, and various Guest Requests Susan is an accomplished violinist with a wide range, and anyone looking for one would be in great hands with her! Book them and you will NOT be disappointed!

Tyros Ensemble was the perfect addition to make our wedding day celebrations extra special, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with their performance! We opted for a three piece ensemble consisting of a piano, cello, and trumpet, and the trio was absolutely lovely. It was the perfect blend of melodies and sounds, and really helped to set the tone for the events and celebrating which followed. We worked with the Band Manager, Neil, in the months leading up to the event and he did an outstanding job recommending selections, band set-up and tear down, and communicating with our wedding coordinator. Now every time we watch our wedding video, we hear the beautiful music, and are reminded again how glad we were that we selected Tyros Ensemble to perform. Tyros Ensemble is a must hire if you’re looking to create a classy, memorable experience for you and your guests, and we would highly recommend them to any bride and groom!

If you are looking for a sign to book Russell for your next event- this is it! What an amazing musician and person. My husband and I just finished an intimate 50 person wedding this past weekend and were blown away by our experience with Russell. Our experience working with him from first meeting to the actual event was above and beyond our expectations. We knew that we did not want a tradiitonal DJ, as our vibe was less of a dance party and more about ambient music. We were not dissapointed! Not only did Russell learn a special requested song for our ceremony, but he even incorporated some Greek music, found a musician that played mandolin and guitar, and organized additional music requested 2 weeks prior to the event. He was also a great resource for our officiant and family, as he provided sound and mic support for the ceremony and reception as well. Guests are still raving about the trio- their fun demeanor and talented musicianship. Russell- thank you to you and your talented colleagues for making our day so magical!
