The Carleton was an absolutely beautiful venue that also knew the local vendors we worked with. Not only were they gracious with our multiple covid-related reschedulings, they were able to seamlessly coordinate logistics with Sugar Fixe & Westgate Flowers, even our DJ team Remix entertainment who were from further out in the suburbs. They made the entire night seamless, free from concern, and accommodated all of our guests. The culinary team provided some of the best food any of our guests had at a wedding (real steak!). We'd also like to thank the bar tenders who nailed our wedding drink down to even the more obscure ingredients and made sure everyone enjoyed it. We highly recommend the hotel not only for its cute, vintage atmosphere & comfy rooms but also for the incredibly personable staff who were there to make our special day one of the easiest & happiest days.

After looking at several very pricey venues in the city, we stumbled upon The Nineteenth Century in Oak Park. And we were simply blown away! It is city-adjacent and had everything we were looking for. Woody took care of our every question and request. We rarely heard a "no" and we were able to craft the perfect wedding we had always dreamt of. He was very quick with his replies and offered us some invaluable advice when it came down to the nitty-gritty details you don’t always think about. The venue is directly across from a beautiful park, which made for pre-wedding photo ease! There’s also a very large parking garage next to the venue, so parking wasn’t an issue for anyone. Plus, with nearby access to the Green Line, our city guests were easily able to attend. We are still hearing compliments about the food served at our wedding. My husband and I are both foodies and were able to create a foodie-themed “prix fixe style” dinner menu, all while not breaking the bank. The day of our wedding, Ryan made sure everything went off without a hitch. He and his staff provided excellent service and we could not thank them enough! We even got compliments on their bartenders, as everyone definitely had a great time. As the ballroom has a very large stage, we happily contracted with a fantastic 10-piece orchestra who had our 165 guests dancing the night away. When the biggest gripe on your wedding day was that your florist (no connection to the venue) messes up the correct flower colors in some of your boutonnieres, you know you had a successful night! Huge thanks to Woody, Ryan, and their entire staff for making our wedding ceremony and reception so spectacular and memorable!

The Cheney Mansion was beyond our expectations. This venue has such a perfect combination of manicured gardens and vintage charm that was the perfect match for our wedding vibe! Our guests loved exploring the many rooms of the house and spending the night dancing under the patio fairy lights was magical! The way you can use the house is so customizable which made our big day so special and so us. The staff of the house were so communicative and I could really tell they cared about us and about making our day special. Absolutely recommend having your wedding or other special event at this venue!

I had my wedding ceremony here on Sunday, May 27, 2012. It was Memorial Day weekend. I have never recalled a Memorial Day weekend in Chicago with bad weather... until now. On my wedding day, the temps reached a sweltering 97 degrees. This in itself is uncomfortable, but when you throw in no air conditioning... yikes. But it could have been much worse. Fans kept the temps bearable. Sure, it wasn't exactly cool, but considering how hot it was outside, the inside wasn't too bad. I took a star off for no a/c, but other than that, my experience with The Unity Temple was stellar. I worked with Meridian from the beginning, and she was very accommodating with us. At first I didn't think I could afford to have my wedding there. But I emailed her, asking if they could slash the price. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask, right? The worst they could do is say no. To my shock, they were willing to go very close to the fee I asked for. Since it was already late into the season, and the chances of filling that day at the regular price was low, Meridian was willing to give us a discount. So I was able to have the ceremony at a beautiful and unique church. All my guests loved the intimacy of the space. We didn't even need a sound system. We had 100 guests, but I think you could fit about 200 in there. The interior is beautiful, and the design speaks for itself. You don't need to decorate much.

As the bride and planner of my wedding, it was extremely easy working with Sarah, the Event Coordinator. She answered all of our questions immediately, was extremely professional and so very sweet. The Pleasant Home was absolutely gorgeous. It was everything my husband and I dreamed of. We were married outside in front of the house in front of the gorgeous tree. It was a dream. We took the most beautiful wedding photos around the grounds of the house and inside. It was extremely affordable but totally stunning and gorgeous. It's conveniently close to the green line which made transportation to our west loop reception for our guests (and the bridal party!) very easy. The staff was fabulous. They helped us set up our lanterns and our trellis the day of the ceremony. Sarah went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed for our big day. She and her staff member even stood next to me while I was freaking out before walking down the aisle and calmed my nerves. I highly recommend this venue!
