Wedding Planners in Athens

When people ask me about how our daughter’s wedding went, my answer is that it was one of the best events I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. Many factors went into this but Gilly Francis is the reason that everything came together so beautifully. She was wonderful to work with and made sure that every detail was taken care of. We had so many people comment on what a beautiful and well thought out wedding and reception it was.

We realized really early on that renting tablecloths was crazy expensive. I obviously don't need to own 8 tablecloths, but it cost less than half of what it would have been to rent them! Tablecloths factory has a huge selection of colors and sizes. The tablecloths were exactly the right color and were of a good quality. The were fairly wrinkled from shipping and I was way too lazy to iron them, so I sprayed them with wrinkle release and they looked perfect! I ended up buying straws and a few other odds and ends from them too, and the prices were better than amazon, even when you accounted for shipping.

In the words of my mom, Katherine's work is MIRACULOUS! I was so relaxed on rehearsal and wedding day due to her amazing ability to take care of all the details that had to be pulled together, adjustments for weather issues, and just the right touch of take-charge kindly control. It takes a lot for me to trust someone to just "take care of it", but I knew from day one I could count on Katherine. The groom, myself, and my parents were able to totally enjoy our weekend. We had a multi-location celebration that by itself makes coordination a challenge.....but throw in rain, thunder, cold, wind, a tight set-up schedule at reception venue, Australians who have never heard of rehearsals, a "hidden" ceremony site, wheelchair access, indoor/outdoor combo, Atlanta traffic woes, and even the homeless bystanders... there was a lot to worry about....but we DIDN'T, because of Katherine's awesome skill to make everything go smoothly, perfectly! When my daughter got engaged in April and chose a November 3 wedding date, I panicked, especially since I don't live in Athens! Our venue, The Chapel Athens, listed Whitewood Events as a preferred vendor, so we felt confident hiring them. Even though our first meeting with Ellie and Whitney was a mere ELEVEN weeks before the wedding, they kept us on track and ensured every detail was covered. I can't say enough about their warmth, professionalism and sense of humor- they were delightful to work with and were excellent at "hand holding" through a few inevitable hiccups along the way. They helped us navigate a few awkward situations with vendors with great tact and provided helpful advice. When our rsvp numbers were higher than expected, they helped us to make necessary adjustments and caught details I had missed, such as we had no floral coverage for the extra tables we had added! Fortunately, this kind of attention to detail meant everything was addressed in a timely manner. Whitney and Ellie took the stress off wedding planning and I am so grateful they said yes to us in spite of our short time frame and non-luxury budget! I can't recommend them highly enough!

Hiring Lindsey to be my Day of Coordinator was the BEST decision I made for our wedding! From the beginning, Lindsey’s professionalism, organization, and love of weddings and celebrating others captivated me and I immediately knew I wanted to work with her. She worked around me and my schedule to schedule meet times and calls! She has an insane amount of local knowledge and wedding tips/tricks that you won’t found on Pinterest! Her connections with vendors and her rapport with everyone made one of the most annoying parts about weddings so easy and manageable! On the day of, she was every bit as amazing as I expected her to be! She is a total Boss! If anything went wrong that day, I had no idea and still don’t! She managed the vendors, my family, and me with grace, intention and a smile on her face! She made sure at every turn that my groom and I were taken care of, having fun, and where we needed to be!! Not to mention, she brought my vision to life! Everything was just as I had imagined it and I couldn’t be more thankful! If there’s only one thing you need to know about Lindsey it is that if you come to her with a problem, her first response is a thoughtful solution. She blew me away, time and time again, with this amazing skill. Just based on this, Lindsey is everything you need!

I can’t recommend Christina highly enough! From start to finish, she was truly exceptional and such a calming, knowledgeable presence throughout our wedding planning process. One of the things that really stood out to us was how incredibly knowledgeable she was—not just about the logistics of planning a wedding, but also about vendor communication, timing, flow, and problem-solving. No matter what came up, she had a thoughtful, experienced answer and kept everything on track without ever making us feel overwhelmed. She was also so patient and flexible with our hectic schedules. Whether we needed to move meetings or had last-minute questions, she never made us feel like a burden. She met us where we were and made everything feel manageable—even enjoyable! And perhaps most importantly to us, Christina was genuinely kind and gracious to our families. She treated everyone with such warmth and respect, which meant so much on a day that can easily become stressful. She made sure our parents felt heard and included, and smoothed over any hiccups with empathy and professionalism. I highly recommend Jackson & June!! My husband and I utilized their "month-of" planning services. We worked most closely with Lillie, who was an absolute joy to work with! We felt so taken care of and felt a huge load off of our shoulders knowing that Lillie was doing so much to coordinate with our vendors. We met weekly for the month leading up to our wedding, but Lillie was also super available via email and text whenever we needed. Everything felt seamless and easy! We were actually able to enjoy our wedding weekend thanks to Lillie and Jackson & June- we highly recommend this super organized, professional and lovely team!
