When my daughter got engaged in April and chose a November 3 wedding date, I panicked, especially since I don't live in Athens! Our venue, The Chapel Athens, listed Whitewood Events as a preferred vendor, so we felt confident hiring them. Even though our first meeting with Ellie and Whitney was a mere ELEVEN weeks before the wedding, they kept us on track and ensured every detail was covered. I can't say enough about their warmth, professionalism and sense of humor- they were delightful to work with and were excellent at "hand holding" through a few inevitable hiccups along the way. They helped us navigate a few awkward situations with vendors with great tact and provided helpful advice. When our rsvp numbers were higher than expected, they helped us to make necessary adjustments and caught details I had missed, such as we had no floral coverage for the extra tables we had added! Fortunately, this kind of attention to detail meant everything was addressed in a timely manner. Whitney and Ellie took the stress off wedding planning and I am so grateful they said yes to us in spite of our short time frame and non-luxury budget! I can't recommend them highly enough!

My daughter and her wedding were in Athens, I live in Columbus. Whitney kept us all on track and informed. She answered every call, email, and text promptly. The wedding was everything we could have hoped for and more. Every vendor she recommended was stellar as well!

Whitney Downs with Whitewood Events is as professional as she is friendly and accessible. She is a serious class act who truly hears what her clients have in mind for their special day. She is extremely detail-oriented, and incredibly resourceful and knowledgeable in getting those details "taken care of". Our daughter had a very long engagement, but Whitney never wavered in her enthusiasm for the event, answering both my ( MOM) and my daughter's rather constant emails. She truly is interested in the bride, groom, and their families, and works hard with all vendors to make sure the family is relaxed and comfortable on the wedding day. She buzzes around with extreme efficiency, but remains calm, ready to troubleshoot any snags that may arise. Whitney knows so many vendors, in all price ranges, and does a fabulous job keeping the budget in her mind ( and her client's). I can honestly now say that Whitney made our daughter and son-in-law's wedding their, "best day ever"!

Whitney and her team were amazing. She was everything that we could have asked for and made our wedding run perfectly. We do not think that our wedding would have been what we wanted without her. Whitney at Whitewood Events was the most amazing planner!! We are so happy we opted for the Full Planning services. Our entire wedding planning process was completely stress free! I am an extremely indecisive person (sorry Whitney), but Whitney made everything SO easy. We shared with her our general preferences and vision for the wedding and she did all the work in creating our dream wedding. Whitney is very organized, detail oriented, and easy to work with.
