Gilly Francis Weddings and Events

Gilly was my planner for my wedding on July 30th, 2022 in Athens, GA at the State Botanical Garden of Georgia. She is fantastic. Not only is she knowledgeable and organized, she is sweet and easy to work with too. Both my mother, MIL, husband and I connected with her.

I was the bride that thought I could handle the planning/decorating/coordinating without a coordinator. After my first meeting with Gilly, I was so thankful to have her. She asked questions that I had not considered and helped layout the foundation for the wedding. As we got closer to the wedding, she took over communication with my vendors. On the day of the wedding, our officiant contacted Gilly to let her know he had tested positive for Covid. Gilly jumped into action (not alarming the bride) and we were able to have a friend step in as officiant.

Our wedding involved a room flip from the ceremony to the reception and we also had a separate area for the cocktail hour. This was a lot of work and it all had to happen in a short period of time. Gilly took the charge in making sure all decor was placed, checking in with my husband and me to make sure we had what we needed, and plenty of other things that I don't even know about. She did everything and I didn't have to wonder how things were coming together-- I was calm and blissfully unaware the entire wedding which allowed me to fully enjoy every aspect of my wedding.

I give Gilly my highest recommendation. She is reliable and detail-oriented. She will make you feel like the most important bride/couple. She'll also be honest with you and make recommendations without over-stepping. If I had to do it all again, I would choose Gilly. She is simply the best!

Gilly was wonderful to work with! She was very familiar with our venue (the State Botanical Gardens in Athens, GA) and the local vendors to help us pick out a fantastic team. She gave us great advice throughout the process and was on top of all the logistics day of. When people ask me about how our daughter’s wedding went, my answer is that it was one of the best events I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of. I have had the unique opportunity to both be a day of wedding coordinator for Gilly and one of her brides! From the beginning, she is very organized and asks you important questions that you might not have considered when looking for vendors and figuring out the timeline. She does a great job at coordinating all of your vendors for you and ensuring that they arrive on time. Delaney was our day of coordinator and the wedding day could not have gone more flawlessly! She checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we were good to do activities such as cake cutting and the bouquet toss without being overbearing. I could not recommend Gilly more!

We made the best decision when we asked Gilly to help coordinate our wedding! I did not know how much I needed the guidance until we started working with Gilly. She knew all the questions to ask, helped me stay organized, and kept me on track with all the planning. There were so many things happening on the wedding day that I did not have a clue about until days later. It was the greatest day! I would highly recommend Gilly and her crew over and over!

When my daughter got engaged the first service we looked for was a wedding planner. Gilly was recommended to us by the owners of the wedding venue. We hired her immediately. Best decision ever. She saved us so much money and saved us from making so many mistakes in wedding planning. My daughter gave her the vision for the wedding and Gilly made it happen. She handled everything so beautifully and professionally. Her services are literally invaluable. Gilly is one of those people you never forget. She has so many fantastic qualities and is truly a class act. She is flexible with meetings and will give you the best suggestions.
