What is included in a wedding catering package?

Your wedding catering may be provided by your wedding venue, or you may want or need to hire an outside caterer. What are the different ways to serve wedding reception food?

When determining your wedding food cost, a big factor will be how you’re planning on serving the meal. There are a few serving style options for weddings:

Plated: Otherwise known as a sit-down meal, your guests will be served their meal at their table by a member of the wait staff. There may be a single entrée option served or several entrée options, which your guests can either order in advance (usually on their RSVP card) or at the event. This is the most formal and traditional of wedding serving styles.

I hired East Coast Catering for my wedding in March and Johnathan was great, super helpful and attentive! The food was amazing, everyone loved it. The tasting was really helpful and Johnathan made some great suggestions for entrees and appetizers based on our notes from the tasting. Loved that you could look through past menus and pick from there. We went with the brisket, fried chicken and spring cavatappi vegetable pasta for our entrees and they were all amazing. We also rented our glassware, plates, utensils and napkins through them and that was all great and affordable compared to rental companies

I do not think I can properly put into words how AMAZING Dark Side of the Spoon is. I just had my wedding at the end of November, but I remember looking through caterers and knowing immediately that I wanted to have Dark Side of the Spoon cater my wedding. I got in touch with Matt and I do not think I have ever met anyone so kind to work with. He was so personable and funny and made everything so easy! He was a true pleasure to work with. When I realized I had to change the wedding date, I knew that I had to switch it to a day that Matt had available. I was so set on his catering, but I was even more set on still working with him just as a person. He made everything work for me, and I am so blessed to have had him cater my wedding. I don't think I can even count how many people came up to me during the wedding to talk about how good their meal was, and I am still hearing about it weeks later. As for my husband and I, we are still dreaming about the taco bowls we made. I don't think there is a better caterer out there!
