Wedding Photography in South Lake Tahoe

We live in Germany, and we chose Tahoe as our wedding location. Coordinating with vendors 6000 miles away can be, unsurprisingly, a bit complicated. Thankfully, Rob and M did not add to this complication. Nay, they in fact removed any complication. They are so good at what they do, that a single phone call, a few emails, and an online form was enough for them to know exactly what we wanted and to absolutely nail it. Their quick and thoughtful responses made it feel like there was no distance or time difference between us. The actual wedding day was smooth as can be, and they both took all of our myriad requests in stride. From assisting us with our DIY videography setup to requesting a specific song from the band (with whom they happened to be friends), they were so accommodating and had a vested interest in making this the best day possible for us. Our wedding was just as much a celebration of our community as our relationship (that’s why you get everyone together, isn’t it?), so we asked Vild to focus on taking photos that our guests would enjoy as well. They more than understood the assignment, as evidenced by the reception photos that beautifully convey motion and emotion all at once. Both Rob and M have such a knack for making what is already fun seem even more convivial. They were absolutely all over the place, capturing practically every moment being simultaneously unintrusive. Throughout the experience, it was very clear that they know how important and special this day and experience is for their clients. Nothing exemplified this more than the fact that they had a preview gallery ready for us the very next day (a Saturday no less). As amateur photographers, we know how much effort goes into poring through thousands of photos in order to find the few great photos that exist in there, so what they did was nothing short of wizardry. Even in this small preview gallery, we could identify dozens of photos worthy of hanging as prints on our walls, as they are perfect and creative compositions. This artistry is exactly why we chose Vild in the first place, and we are so thrilled with the results. Overall, our experience with Rob and M was incredible and we cannot recommend them enough. The only regret we have is that we don't live in the Tahoe area to have the opportunity to get to know these two more and make friends! If you are going to splurge on a vendor, do it with Vild. At the end of the day, your wedding photos will be much sweeter after a year than that piece of freezer-burned wedding cake, and they’ll certainly outlast it. Stop looking around and book Vild now!

CJ was extremely professional and laid back. He was really easy to talk to when we did a planning session to figure out the vision for our photos. I was immediately at ease with him. He is super easy to get along with. I honestly am so impressed by how many photos he was able to get in such a short time. It seemed like he was in 1 million places at once. Despite moving all over during the ceremony, I didn't notice him, but he got INCREDBILE photos. He was great about giving recommendations and making sure the lighting was correct. It's obvious that he has a vision and a talent for what he does. His preview photos are so beautiful. I cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures fully edited. I am beyond impressed with his professionalism, but also his flexibility. We got cold and asked if we could take photos inside. He was super open to the idea and took a ton of really cool photos from inside the hotel room that are turning out to be my favorites. Overall, I am beyond happy with CJ's work. He provided us with amazing photos of our wedding day that I will cherish forever.

My now husband found Blue Lotus Photography and I am so glad he did! We hired Sandra and Josh, the nicest people you'll ever meet, for an engagement shoot and to capture our wedding day. Our engagement shoot was in South Lake Tahoe at the most perfect location suggested by Sandra. We had so much fun with them and they made it feel effortless. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully and we proudly used them on our save the dates, as Christmas presents, and are displayed in our home. On our wedding day, Sandra and Josh were so accommodating and helpful. They braved the cold and snow with us because I had my heart set on outdoor photos. I am so happy to have shared our wedding with them and look forward to future business opportunities! Highly recommend.

We used Hall creation Photography for our daughters wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Angie was so personable, it felt like family taking pictures of the special day. We love the final pictures! Priceless.

Matt and Tara are exceptional photographers who were so, so very easy to work with and captured beautiful, funny, unique moment during our wedding and we were blown away by their work. I am a somewhat shy and definite camera shy person and my initial phone call with Tara put me at ease- she was so easy to talk to and get along with it was easy to choose her and Matt to be the vendors we would be in contact with the most on our wedding day. Tara also helped me figure out day-of timeline with her knowledge and experience when I realized I had no idea what I was doing! Day of, they both were professional, unobtrusive, and worked hard to capture beautiful moments throughout the day. Our families had nothing but good things to say about them, and our golden hour sunset photos are amazing -- they are worth every penny!

Polina at Laika Studios was creative, light hearted, calm and quick. She made a concerted effort to make sure we had a chance to enjoy all aspects of our wedding while still capturing perfect pictures. My favorite part is that Polina just melted in with the crowd, she was unobtrusive, while always being there to capture the shot. I highly recommend Polina and Laika Studios

Brandi was amazing from the start. She helped me plan the engagement, provided locations and backup plans depending on weather conditions in South Lake. She remained in constant contact to make sure everything went smooth as possible and it all worked out. Would definitely work with her again!

Jaime Emery with Rose Street Studio photographed us for a set of engagement photos, as well as our intimate wedding ceremony in Zephyr Cove. Both sets of photos were amazing and we could not be more pleased with the results. For our engagement photos, Jaime really made us feel at ease in front of the camera, and captured us in front of several stunning Lake Tahoe backdrops. Fast forward to our small wedding, which involved only us and our five children...Jaime again made ALL of us feel at ease and beautifully captured our ceremony and fun family moments. We received wonderful candid moments as well as more traditional group photos. We were definitely seeking some nice family portraits and Jaime was a huge help in making sure we captured all the moments we wanted. Jaime spent a good bit of time 'walking the property', evaluating our wedding ceremony location, helping us select multiple locations for photographs and to take advantage of the Tahoe scenery as our backdrop from multiple locations. I would highly recommend Jaime and Rose Street Studio for beautiful, polished, and natural looking photos. She is helpful, straightforward, approachable and brings a welcome sense of humor to wedding moments that can be stressful. If I were starting my wedding planning over from scratch, I would 100% reach out to Jaime Emery again - she was amazing.

I looked at several photographers and Amy was on my list because I liked the style and coverage I could see from her gallery and her prices were reasonable. After talking with her on the phone I felt comfortable she would be a good choice as she seemed very professional and friendly, and we bonded over our mutual love of Hawaii :) She was on top of coordinating the timeline with the venue and me and making sure she could get all of the shots that we wanted. Our gallery was ready within 2 weeks and we now have many beautiful photos to choose from!

She did a beautiful job and she worked the entire night. We had pictures from the reception but we had beautiful picture of us in different settings and lighting throughout the entire night. I loved the work that she did. I would highly recommend her.
