Wedding Photography in Manhattan

Laos and his team exceeded every expectation we ever had in a photographer. After exchanging a few emails, Laos met us for coffee so that he could show us some of his work and talk about what we were looking for. His work was beautiful and artistic, but his personality and style were what instantly sold us. He's incredibly friendly, fun, and made such an effort to understand what we wanted that we had total faith in him from the beginning. Laos included an engagement shoot in the package which not only was a great deal, but also gave us the chance to work with him before the wedding. We went to one of our favorite local hangouts, followed Laos' instructions to "just have fun", and ended up with a volume of great informal shots. He's so easy to work with, and it really was nice to get a sense of his working style ahead of the wedding day. The day of the wedding, Laos works with an assistant to make sure that nothing is missed. A week before ours he asked if we minded if he also brought an apprentice along-we felt like we hit the photographer jackpot since we were now going to have three sets of eyes capturing our event. Laos' assistants were just as talented and awesome as he is. Jaz spent the morning with my husband doing his "getting ready" shots while Amanda and Laos stayed with me. We took all of our pictures before the ceremony and Laos and team kept everything moving smoothly and on time. It was such a relief to not have to worry about the timing or logistics of moving between locations because I knew that Laos already had it covered. The reception is where Laos really got to shine. We wanted ours to be informal and fun and asked Laos to encourage our guests to be playful just as he had been doing with us. He was a huge hit with the guests, truly made everyone feel at ease, and never lost his upbeat energy. A few short days after the wedding, he emailed a few preview pictures to tide us over until the rest were ready. We were beyond impressed and are so excited to see the rest.
