My mom set up several bridal appointments for me in both Ohio and California and this was the very last boutique we visited. This was by far the smallest boutique, but it was also the most beautiful one, and the experience could not have been more personal and enjoyable. The two women who own this boutique are French with an impeccable taste in wedding style. They have dresses, veils, head pieces and jewelry from designers all over the world in their shop. I just so happened to visit them when they had gowns from Peter Trends Bridal, an Australian designer. I absolutely fell in love with the Bali Hai gown, but the dress was a bit above my price range. I spoke with the two owners of the boutique as well as with Peter Trends directly, and they were able to offer me the sample gown at a discount! It was a dream come true to be able to purchase this dress, and the experience didn’t end there. After I bought my gown, the two women helped me find the perfect veil from one of their UK designers and also offered me a discount. They also gave me accessory ideas which my mom then later used to design my own hair piece with Kate and The Crown on Etsy. They met with me and their personal seamstress at least 6 different times to ensure the alterations for my dress were nothing short of perfect. I have not experienced this attention to detail and level of customer service at any other bridal boutique in Ohio or the Bay Area. If you are looking for a unique, designer gown, unprecedented customer service and two women who will become true friends by the end of your wedding dress experience, then look no further than Nouvelle Vogue Boutique in San Mateo! I’m still in awe by my experience with this place!

Expensive. But friendly, efficient, and trustworthy. I brought my Wedding gown here. I paid a lot to have my dress cleaned and pressed, but I felt assured that it would not be damaged, and the results were amazing! Lynette took me back to where they clean the gowns (all on-site) and introduced me to the actual person who will be cleaning my gown. She also showed me several antique gowns which her customers have left to her care. The fact that people would trust her to clean their 100yr old dresses (literally! I was in the shop when a customer brought in a dress from 1912) convinced me that my own gown would be in good hands. And I was not disappointed. I will definitely return here in the future! I will continue to take my typical business shirts to the dry cleaner down the street, but I will trust only Lynette and her team with my vintage, delicate, and designer items.

I worked with them after being offered to design my wedding gown. When I got engaged, I had no intention to have something custom made. My husband and I agree we wanted to have as much of a stress-free wedding. When the opportunity was presented to me, I felt at ease which I was pretty surprised by and decided to go for it. They let me be involved with the design process without making it "a thing." I was able to give a general look I was interested in and they took over from there. I didn't have to worry about a thing but coming in for measurements. What was also really great is that during the design process, the designer and I were just brainstorming and out of nowhere she said, "Ya know, I have this fabric I haven't found a use for but I think it might be a match for you. This way we wouldn't have to order extra fabric from overseas. Do you want to see it?" It was kind of like a friend offering me to wear her jewelry or something...I'm not sure if that makes sense...but it was so attentive and I really felt being cared for. Anyone who has ever gotten married knows that stress and anxiety show up whether you like it or not. It was really great to have the designer have my back from the get-go.
