I am so grateful that we got introduced to Your Generation and Concert and feel so lucky that they were available on our big day! They were a complete blast and had all of our guests dancing all night long. They also learned the songs our families selected for the father/daughter and mother/son dances - many bands give you a list that you have to choose from but they were willing to go the extra mile. I'd recommend them to everyone!

YGIC played at our daughter’s wedding reception and I can’t think of enough superlatives to use to describe their performance and our experience. Starting with Amanda in the office and continuing up through Brian in the band and Steve, himself, everyone we dealt with was prompt, attentive and professional. The quality of their music and their energy was unparalleled. The dance floor was filled all night long. More importantly, they played the songs we requested. And while they have an extensive playlist of their own, they took the time to learn a new song for the bridal dance, as well as a couple of new songs that were special to each of the bride and groom’s families. Another accommodation – they agreed to take only one “long” break instead of the usual two. So their break occurred around 10pm instead of 11. We all know what happens when the band breaks at 11pm – people use it as an excuse to start to leave. That didn’t happen, almost everyone stayed until the end, when they were treated to one of the best final song renditions of Bohemian Rhapsody you have ever heard. EVERYONE was singing along. Now, YGIC does not come cheap - they were our most expensive band option. However, they proved the adage that “you get what you pay for.” We had decided, as we allocated funds, that the band makes or breaks a reception, so we considered YGIC one of our “splurges.” And boy, did they ever “make” the reception. Perhaps the best barometer of just how good they are is that we had guests tell us, days, weeks and even months after the wedding, that YGIC was the best wedding band they had ever seen. Finally, I was concerned that YGIC might be more comfortable in a “performance” setting, and may not do well at a reception. I should not have been concerned, and neither should you. If you have a chance, go see them play and you will be sold. They are hands down worth every penny you will pay for a reception band. So stop your searching and call them NOW!

We recently hired Your Generation for our wedding and WOW they brought the energy! We had the absolute time of our lives dancing the night away with all of our guests. YG played the perfect mix of well-known, upbeat songs to keep the dance floor full the entire night! All of our guests have since commented on how incredible the band was. When the night came to an end and the band stopped playing, our guests started chanting "one more song!" if that gives you a sense for how great they were! They put on a show with choreography to go along with every song. I should also mention that ahead of the wedding, they were very accommodating. We were worried about the acoustics of our wedding venue since it was an all glass building and they had no problem sending their sound tech out to meet with us ahead of time to make sure the noise would be properly managed. We can't say enough good things about YG and would recommend them to anyone in the Metro-Detroit area looking for a wedding band!

Your Generation was a huge part of making my daughter's wedding the magical night that it was. They learned a new song to accommodate the dad/daughter dance and arrived earlier in the day to practice it. You can't have a great party without a great band and this band kept everyone hopping all night long. So many of our guests commented that they have never heard a band like this. One comment word for word was, "that band was so awesome. Truly the best wedding ever." The dance floor was full from the time guests entered the room through the end of the evening. They were responsible for emceeing the entire evening and did it perfectly. . . we could not have asked for more!

I still cannot believe the party that Your Generation gave us. The dance floor NEVER stopped! All of our guests are still talking about them. Worth every dollar spent and then some. Can't wait to book them for our next daughter. Their talent and showmanship is the coolest ever. It's more of a concert than a wedding band. Most fun EVER.

Splurging on YGIC for our daughter's wedding was probably the best move we made, as they truly made the event. And they are a bit pricey, but worth it. Almost a year later guests are still talking about the amazing band. The dance floor was packed non-stop - YGIC kept the party going all night with their high-energy and flawless performance of hits from 80’s – current hits. Understand that this is not a "traditional" wedding band, and don't expect them to play all the standards -- though they did learn a couple of songs just for us, and their Bohemian Rhapsody (our choice) was the perfect finale. They were easy to work with, and we just couldn't have made a better choice.

Your Generation was amazing! Their high energy was contagious. Our guests were so entertained that the overall opinion was it was the best wedding anyone had ever been to! They had some extra special touches that personalized the performance for the wedding party. I won't add details because it was a wonderful surprise!

We couldn’t recommend Your Generation enough! They were amazing; so fun and talented-everyone kept raving at the end of the night. The band had the same amount of energy (if not more!) during the first song as they did the last one of the night. My husband is a singer and they let him sing two songs with them and it was seriously such a highlight of our day. They finished the night by having us both come up and sing “We Are Young” with the band-another definite highlight! Working with Steve and Skylar at their office was also very easy as they responded to my emails quickly. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire this band for your wedding; they truly are professional and talented and were a huge part in making our wedding one of the best days of our lives.
