Yellow twist review
There are not enough words to describe how big of an impact Lindsay from Yellow Twist made on our wedding…. But I will try. First of all, she took our confusing “vision” for a two-day Indian American wedding and brought it to life! She transformed our space with floral from day to day, and recycled all our florals from the first day on the second! This was so important for us from a budgeting perspective. Instead of being scared of our budget, she got creative and made magic. Lindsay was a great communicator and answered all of our questions thoroughly and quickly!

Lindsay had an amazing structure that she adapted to our Indian wedding and used it as a mandap. The florals were jaw droppingly beautiful, so natural and classy. The second day she made our barn look like an enchanted forest - with trees on the beams, a high low design with trees coming out of the tables and a gorgeous FULL table runner of flowers. It was breath taking and more beautiful than i could have imagined.

Lindsay is a beautiful human and a talented artist. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a florist that brings experience, a creative mind and a friend. We were so lucky to find her!!!

We hired Lindsay and her team at Yellow Twist for wedding florals for our October 2021 wedding in Portland, ME. Lindsay was phenomenal, and gave us everything we wanted and more.

I found Lindsay on a whim while looking through other Maine wedding photos, but I felt an instant creative connection with her. She is so fun, thoughtful, creative, and knowledgeable. I appreciated that she comes from an artistic background, not just horticulture - so she really understood the overall composition I was going for with our table florals. I work in event production and was anxious about handing off my vision to vendors, but Lindsay delivered on everything we asked for. She maximized our budget - getting us as much content as possible in our price range - and I thought her rates were very fair for the quality products we received.

I had a narrow overall vision - I made over 200 bottle vases to use in the décor - but let Lindsay run with the floral content and she nailed it. I wanted an autumnal color palate but left exact floral choices to Lindsay and the results were STUNNING. The variety of size, texture, shape, and color were fabulous, and the arrangements genuinely brought our space to life. The ceremony arrangement brought me to tears - it was just gorgeous. And again - Lindsay seems like a person who genuinely loves what she does - her enthusiasm was contagious, her staff was so lovely and kind (shout-out to Jill for delivering the personal flowers!), and I will highly recommend her services to anyone in the area. My fiance and I were planning an out of town wedding in midcoastal Maine at French's Point, and we used Lindsay as our florist. She was wonderful to work with- she did a great job explaining floral/artistic concepts that we weren't familiar with, she had a great sense of humor and brought enjoyment to the planning process, she helped us work within our budget and put together pieces that would have the most impact, and she helped bring our vision to life. We were so pleased with the quality of her work. Highly recommend!

Lindsay and the Yellow Twist team were truly wonderful to work with. We had different locations for the ceremony and reception and I had big ideas for flowers at each on a tight budget. Lindsay listened at length to what my dream florals were for our wedding and provided a proposal with multiple sections for each area of flowers and really captured my vision in all her suggestions. She also kept my budget in mind and was able to provide creative solutions so that I did not need to break my budget for all the florals I wanted at the event. Her designs were immaculate, both from far away and even more so once you got up close and could see the details. She was always responsive and jumped in wherever needed on the wedding day, including helping me calm my nerves as I prepared to walk down the aisle. Lindsay is superb and I can't recommend her incredible work enough. 

Worth every penny. Absolutely remarkable production of our entire wedding weekend. From our big displays down to our small details, Lindsay captured the essence of our vision. You should feel confident putting your trust in her!

Lindsay and her team at Yellow Twist were absolutely incredible. From the bouquets, to the boutonnieres, to the incredible hanging garden, I can’t recommend them enough! Lindsay and her team were so flexible, thoughtful, and creative. They were great at bouncing around ideas and were so willing to help in any way possible. Throughout the day-of, as they were setting up the hanging garden, they asked for my opinion and included me in decisions. They even hung around the venue to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed. Everything was so so beautiful, 10/10 would recommend!

Lindsay was amazing to work with - I think I was probably her least favorite client because when she asked me what I wanted for the wedding I said "I always imagined we'd have flowers"... and that was about all I had. She did the most amazing arch for our ceremony, had a greenery centerpiece down our 22 foot head table, and had multiple different types of centerpieces for all of our differently shaped tables. My aunts still can't get over how gorgeous the flowers were, and our bouquets were amazing. She hustled and made our dreams come true and I could not be more thankful!!

Lindsay completely captured the essence of what we wanted for our daughter's wedding flowers and decor. From the bride's bouquet to the boutonnieres, from the flower girl crowns to the wrist corsages, all conveyed an elegance, freshness, and unique style perfect for the farm setting. Lindsay blended the arbor decorations into the gardens surrounding it, and continued this theme into the table settings. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her, and recommend her 100%!

Lindsay was extremely knowledgeable about flowers. We hired her to help with flowers for a book themed baby shower. Lindsay completely wowed us! Each table had a children's book theme and she catered the center pieces to go along with the book. She found flowers I had never seen before that perfectly fit with each table's theme We ended up giving the center pieces away as prizes for games and guests were so excited to take them home. We would love to work with Lindsay again for future events! She was professional, on time, and was able to work with our budget!

Lindsay is fantastic! She is honest, easy to talk to, and listens to what you are looking for. I had an idea of what I wanted and she used her expertise to create the most beautiful bouquets, center pieces and decorations! We had many unique items we wanted decorated with flowers and she was willing to work with us to make it happen. I knew I wanted flowers in my hair, and she was able to create a stunning hair piece with live flowers. We could not have had any more compliments, and to this day people continue to comment on how beautiful the flowers were! I HIGHLY recommend Lindsay and Yellow Twist Floral Design to anyone looking for flowers! Thank you Lindsay for making our wedding wonderful!
