Weddings by Yael is a passionate wedding officiant based out of Norwalk, Connecticut. Yael Maxwell DeVita, the owner of this business, is non-denominational minister who performs ceremonies in and around New York City and Fairfield County, CT. She'll work with you one-on-one to create a custom ceremony that is personal to you as a couple. Weddings by Yael looks forward to sharing in your special day, whether you're having an intimate gathering or a grand affair.
Services Offered
Yael has a background in journalism, which allows her to craft your ceremony in a way similar to a profile of your relationship. She'll meet with you in person or via Skype to get to know you as a couple, and answer any questions you may have. Yael supports marriage equality, and is happy to incorporate any religious traditions you may wish to include. Her ceremonies usually last between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the number of readings you would like and the length of your vows. Additional services include:

Fantastic Officiant - the perfect fit!!
We selected Yael to be the officiant for our wedding after thorough research and she was one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. She was very informative, communicative, friendly, creative, and kind. She met with us several times prior to the ceremony over video chat and each time it felt like we were talking to a friend. She took the information gathered from our meetings an crafted us not only a very personalized, beautiful ceremony, but she also helped us to write personal vows in the style that fit us best. Despite an unexpected hurdle, Yael showed up on the day of and directed a fantastic, memorable ceremony that was unique to us. We received so many compliments on our officiant. We cannot recommend her services enough!!

Such a wonderful experience!
Yael officiated our outdoor wedding in NY and we received so many compliments from our guests. Many thought we knew Yael for years!
To help prepare, Yael met with us virtually and did an incredible job getting to know our relationship story and what we were looking for in a ceremony. She also provided great suggestions and guidance of incorporating traditions into our interfaith wedding.
Yael truly created a memorable ceremony. We are so thankful we selected her to officiate our wedding.
