During our first phone call, Nicole was clear about the different packages Vision Events offers – full, partial, and month-of wedding planning. Since we had mostly picked out our other vendors at that point, we chose the “month-of” option with a few a la carte options added. Nicole was available well before the month of to make sure we were on the right track. She was incredibly patient with me and my mom when it came to the different websites and guestlist options. We were both very inexperienced, but Nicole never let on if we were frustrating to her! 😊 She sent out regular reminders if the contracts weren’t uploaded or if we were missing something crucial. Well worth the peace of mind a few months beforehand that you’re not missing a big wedding planning piece.
The month-of started with a in-person venue walk through. Nicole was there to cover the details that we wouldn’t have thought about – number of plates ordered, enough tables/busses/seating for the expected number of guests, and organizing the wedding/reception timeline. Nicole puts a big emphasis on her timeline so things run smoothly - and it is amazing! Color coordinated and scheduled down to the minute, I don’t know what we would have done without this!! The month-of also includes Nicole contacting your other wedding vendors to confirm that everything is in place and ready.
During the wedding weekend, Nicole is there for the rehearsal and available for any last minute questions. She and her team showed up early on the day-of to make sure the timeline is on schedule. Someone is helping corral the groomsmen as well as at the venue to make sure everything is set up beautifully. Nicole even had some car trouble before heading to the ceremony, but it didn’t stop her or cause any hiccup in the schedule! Once at the reception venue, Nicole helped me with everything – bustling, cueing our wedding party entrance, the blessing, champagne toast, and dances. She had everything so punctual (and even early) that it felt like we had plenty of time to dance and celebrate at the end of the night! Right before dinner, I wasn’t sure if it was acceptable to change into flats. Nicole was helping me bustle my dress and reminded me “it’s your day, it’s up to you!”. It was something I really needed to hear to relax, wear the flats, and enjoy the reception.
Working with Nicole was wonderful for so many reasons! She gave us peace of mind throughout the planning process, on the day-of, and reminded us to enjoy the day instead of worrying. Nicole and her team pulled everything off seemingly effortlessly, but I know there was a lot going on behind the scenes! I’m still in awe of how everything went off without a hitch. Definitely book Nicole and Vision Events for your wedding if you want to enjoy the whole process!
