Nicole and Lindsey are basically two angels who descended to make our wedding the most perfect day ever. Nicole was with us every step of the way to make sure everything was where it needed to be and nothing got forgotten. She helped us figure out what our vision was and how to bring it to life. She worked with all our vendors to make sure every detail was perfect, and the day of our wedding, we both got to sit back and feel like everything was taken care of and all we had to do was get married! She made planning a wedding go from incredibly daunting to very manageable. Choosing Vision Events was the best decision we made other than saying I Do! -

Hands down the best decision I made for my wedding. Nicole and her team helped me put my wedding all together. Without her my experience would not have been the best with my venue. Nicole and her team expertly executed our vision and made our wedding design plan a reality! If you are here looking for the absolute best Wedding Planner, please do yourself a favor, stop and look no further – You have found the best! Nicole Smith, owner of Vision Events was amazing as our daughter's wedding planner extraordinaire. As a mother of two boys and one girl, your only daughter’s wedding is one of the most important highlights in your life. We started working with Nicole more than two years ago. We even actually had three wedding dates. But, amidst the anxiety of planning and re-planning and re-planning again due to COVID, Nicole was there every single step of the way. We communicated regularly during the entire, more than two year process of planning. She helped us flawlessly pull of the absolutely most perfect day and was a constant presence of calm and support during our entire process. We ended up having a much smaller event than originally planned, by 100 people but Nicole (and her amazing assistant, Anna) made sure every detail and every person was perfectly in place throughout the day. It was such an enjoyable experience and we did not have to worry about anything on our daughter and son in law’s big day. She is a great communicator, always super responsive and available, has very creative ideas and will help you bring your VISION to life! Where to begin.... I hired Nicole during my 5.5 month engagement for my wedding on February 20, 2021- and it was the best decision and investment I made in my wedding planning process! I booked her for month-of coordination and she was attentive and on top of things the entire time. She always answered my texts and emails full of questions and was so easy and great to work with. On the wedding day is when I really realized how much a life saver she is! She was so in tune to everything going on and if I had a question or need that day she took care of it immediately- she paid attention to detail and remembered every little thing I asked of her. She also put everything together so beautifully after I had been worried of how the finished product would come out. She made me feel so at ease and took the weight of worry off of my shoulders and my mom and bridal party on the wedding day so that we could all relax and enjoy it. She is so good at her job and it is so obvious she has so much joy in making someone's wedding day perfect. If you are looking for a wedding planner/coordinator in the Raleigh/Pinehurst area, book Nicole!! You won't regret it!
On another note, Nicole also helped us book our honeymoon to Sandals Grande Antigua since she is a Certified Sandals Specialist. She made that process run smoothly as well- she stayed in touch with Sandals to plan our vacation, made sure we had things planned ahead of time before we got there, and she was even available when we got to Antigua and had a question with our booking process. She checked in through our whole trip to make sure it was everything was running smoothly. She also made sure we got our honeymoon package and the excursions we wanted. She helped us decide which Sandals resort to book at within our budget and then helped us book where to stay in the resort and helped us stay within our budget while getting the best out of our vacation. One huge thing is that she stayed on top of looking for Sandals' 777 deals and got us a huge discount off of our vacation by cancelling what we had and rebooking us to get the discount. She was constantly checking out their deals to get us the best bang for our buck and save us money. Overall, Nicole is just great to work with and I highly recommend Vision Events for your honeymoon or wedding planning needs! I would book her over and over! Thanks for everything Nicole!! -

Nicole named her business perfectly, because she absolutely has a "vision" for every couple and event. She was the mastermind behind our design for Oakland Farm's Open House in February. She had a unique idea for the floorplan, met with the rental company with me to decide on linens and placesettings, and was available for any question I ran into during the planning process. I was absolutely blown away when it all came together, and the Barn was gorgeous filled with blues, whites and pops of spring colors. I highly recommend that all weddings use planners, and Nicole is the one that will make sure your event is a dream come true! We can't wait to work with her for future events at Oakland Farm! -

Vision Events, where do we even start. From the first time we spoke to Nicole on the phone, we could tell she was experienced and knowledgeable. We setup a face to face in August with a potential wedding date of March 30 (to make sure she was available). My husband and I met with her and Lara, and were instantly impressed with how genuine and warm they were. Based on just this ONE meeting, we were sure we wanted them to plan our wedding. My husband and I signed the contract a few days later. We chose the "Full Wedding Planning & Design" package and WOW! it was SO worth it. This package gave us full access to their capabilities, and believe us, that natural planning ability and attention to detail is out of this world.
Nicole and Lara started to work on wedding venues right away. They asked us very specific questions about what we wanted our wedding day to look like and where we envisioned getting married. They made sure to only show us venues that fit our budget and, because they've been doing this for so long, they knew the ins and outs of every venue (including points of contacts and people in charge). From day one, Lara and Nicole gave us a checklist with specific deadlines of items so that we knew exactly what to expect. They made sure that every deadline was met and we were never behind schedule.
Nicole and Lara were willing to meet at our home on multiple occasions and spend hours discussing all the details that go into planning a wedding. They also communicated through email, text, and were available to talk on the phone all the time (at reasonable hours). Nicole and Lara showed us that they were very passionate about helping us make our wedding everything that we wanted and more. Some of the things that they focused on within the first 2 months were to setup venue tours, catering tastings, and cake tastings, to which they attended all of them with us. The fact that they went with us made it much easier for us to discuss right then and there what we liked and didn't.
They set up our wedding website and created a vision board based on our colors/venue/flowers. They provided suggestions for photographers, DJs, videographers, hair, and make-up. They gathered information about hotels for our family and friends to stay at when coming from out of town and set up special rates for room blocks once we decided on the hotels. They even offered to go wedding dress shopping with me and tuxedo shopping with my husband.
As the wedding day approached, they created the wedding invitations (with proper wording) and ordered them for us. Once we got the invitations, Nicole came by our home and helped us put them in envelopes to make sure everything was sent out correctly. This is just one example of the many things that Vision Events will do to make your wedding planning go smoothly. We then focused our attention on the honeymoon, where Nicole gave additional suggestions and found us a great deal for an all-inclusive resort. Vision Events also worked with my in-laws to finalize the rehearsal dinner venue, menu, and timeline. Because of their efforts, my in-laws (who live in another state) felt like they were a part of the decision making process.
The last thing we will mention is how amazing Nicole and Lara handled our actual wedding day. On our special day, they did everything from providing a wake up call to making sure the refrigerator at the venue had milk for our 3 yr old. They even brought stickers and fruit snacks for her, and included her as their "helper" for the day, while we were getting ready.
Their attention to detail cannot even be put into words. They made our day effortless. Nicole and Lara were by our side the entire day and night. They brought us drinks, food, and cake, and made sure that everything went according to plan. They even managed to solve a wasp problem in the venue tent without even letting us know. They were OUR team and made sure that we ENJOYED every minute of our wedding day, including a sparkler send-off that concluded our magical night. Looking back over the entire process, we wouldn't change a thing. Nicole and Lara truly made the entire planning adventure a wonderful experience for us. We can guarantee they'll do everything in their power to make your experience just as wonderful as ours.
Before we hired Vision Events, we had no idea how important a wedding planner could be. We now know how crucial it is to have a great team like them by your side on one of the most important days of your life. Without a doubt, we recommend Vision Events to anyone and strongly believe that you will be truly happy with the results. -

She absolutely exceeded every expectation and knocked it out of the park. Her attention to detail was amazing. She organized a large wedding party and kept the wedding weekend on schedule. From the check ins throughout the planning process, to helping us pick linens and place settings, even running out to get the perfect size candles for our ceremony that had to be moved inside due to weather, Nicole was there to help and keep me stress and worry free! The itinerary Nicole provides makes sure everything runs smoothly and there are no questions of what needs to be happening when. I wouldn’t have wanted to work with anyone else!

Christina Sent on 12/08/2015I could not have done it without Nicole! Planning a wedding is not easy and there are so many little things that you don't even think about! Nicole was there to remind me about them and help me come up with ideas and solutions.
She is out of Pinehurst, but don't let that deter you because she was always making a trip to Raleigh and was happy to meet close by. She answered various odd questions I had with a smile. She took phone calls and meeting set ups off my hands and got in touch with all vendors to coordinate the schedule on the day of the wedding.
The day of the wedding, she was priceless. It was raining cats and dogs that morning and flooded the walkway in front of the church. She took initiative to find someone who would be able to sweep the water off the walkway and I only heard about it after it was already taken care of. Weddings are so busy and with so much going on it's easy to lose track of time but Nicole kept us on schedule and made sure we did everything we wanted to do without us feeling rushed!
Nicole, thanks so much for all you've done for John and I and helped us accomplish the best day of our lives!
