Kim
Co-Owner
Kim was raised in upstate NY and completed grad school at Emerson College in Boston with a Master’s degree in Marketing. She began her career in LA working with a pre-eminent event planner for private and corporate parties, weddings, and a televised fashion award show. After this introduction to the industry, Kim took her talents back east and entered the bustling and exciting world of NYC events. Prior to co-founding Venture North Events, Kim worked with a luxury event planning company in the city where she planned events and weddings for clients including corporate executives, celebrities, and professional athletes. During her career she has worked with budgets ranging from $30K to $1M. She loves all things events, and has a natural ability to take charge and get things done. When she isn’t planning an event or researching all the latest event trends, Kim can be found enjoying a good book or movie, hiking and camping, and spending quality time with her family.
CJ (That's my full name!)
Co-Owner
CJ comes from a long line of event professionals. His grandfather, owner of Atlas Floral Decorators in NYC, was the go-to professional for elaborate event decor in the 70s and 80s. Growing up in South Florida, CJ often found himself assisting his mother at local functions, and realized that this industry is the perfect outlet for his unrelenting, yet focused energy. CJ also holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Emerson. Prior to co-founding Venture North Events, CJ worked for Allied Global Marketing, a national entertainment marketing and publicity firm. He started as a college intern, but quickly rose to Junior Account Executive while working in their Miami, Boston, LA, and NYC offices. CJ worked with all of the major film studios and would partner with local businesses and organizations to host events and promote upcoming films. He has some good stories and will happily tell you all about the various press junkets, red carpet premieres, Comic-Cons, and trade shows he has been involved with. In his spare time, CJ has worked numerous weddings and events with Kim in and around NYC and LA, and also enjoys hiking, camping, movies, and family.
