As one of the most versatile and accommodating spaces in the DC area, UNION STAGE is perfect for any style wedding reception you have in the works. Located at The Wharf in SW DC, our clients enjoy direct access to the waterfront and all the amenities available across the neighborhood (just imagine those wedding photos!).

UNION STAGE was designed by award-winning design firm Perkins Eastman as a part of the Wharf redevelopment in 2017 to be a flexible, approachable, and totally unique events space. And our state-of-the-art live music capabilities will add a special edge to an otherwise standard occasion.

Facilities and Capacity

Union Stage features a multi-level layout with a total of 7,500 square feet. Couples can utilize space for their bridal shower, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and/or reception. For a seated ceremony or celebration, you are welcome to invite up to 150 friends and family. However, if you want a more laid-back party, there is enough room for up to 400 people mostly standing. Our famous concert stage is just right for any band or DJ and of course the venue has top-notch sound, lights, and sound engineers in-house so you don't have to worry about any of that. Plus, the backstage green room is the perfect spot for brides and bridesmaids to get ready, or just find some quiet time.

Fantastic venue and event staff

We were looking for a non-traditional venue for our wedding, and Union Stage was a perfect fit. Our goal was to create a unique and memorable wedding for not only ourselves but also for our guests, and the event staff at Union Stage worked seamlessly with our vendors to make that happen. Unlike a lot of other venues, Union Stage provided us with a day-of wedding coordinator (Natalie) who worked with us during the months prior to the wedding to create a detailed timeline and brought up issues we hadn't really thought of. Since my husband and I had no event experience, this was essential in making our wedding a success. On the day of the wedding, Natalie and the rest of the event staff set up the space exactly how we had discussed, and kept the event running in accordance with the timeline. More importantly, the event staff at Union Stage worked hard to understand our vision and then made it happen. Even my most hard to please family members have done nothing but rave about the venue and the event itself, and I am so grateful we selected Union Stage for our wedding.

Awesome venue!

I hosted a company event at Union Stage and could not have been happier with the results! My event coordinators Eddie and Natalie were there to help set up all my decorations and made sure everything went according to plan. The bar staff was also very friendly. My colleagues were impressed that we had found such a fun, unique venue - and you can't beat being down at the Wharf. Would definitely recommend for a corporate event or wedding - very versatile space.

Union Stage is a great venue for any event!

My husband and I got married at Union Stage in Washington, DC in October 2018. We go to so many concerts around DC and could not believe how perfect Union Stage was to have our dream wedding. The venue is the perfect size and the price was right. All of the staff that we worked with were fun, friendly, and had a good time along with us on our wedding day. We could not be happier with how everything went, and highly recommend having your wedding, or any event, at Union Stage. It was our dream "concert" wedding come true.

The IMPACT Team at Union Stage is very much on top of their game. Very responsive in the months and weeks leading up to the event and there was no stress for myself or my bride on the day of the event. Bar staff is great. Production is unparalleled. We were told by the vast majority of our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Highly recommend Union Stage.

Everything went perfect, from beginning to end! Our meetings were thorough, timely, and I felt like the team well-understood our vision ahead of time. When I showed up in the morning, and didn't like the set-up (I admit, I finally lost my pregnant-bridezilla shit, only once tho ), the team reacted and fixed everything to my liking so quickly that it was like nothing happened! Our event planner was so calm, sweet, and on top of her game all day. I put her in touch with my mother and she handled EVERYTHING with her, all day, as if behind the scenes, and all my husband and I had to do was enjoy our day. Her professionalism, motivation, and dedication far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I (and our parents) all concluded that the staff went above and beyond our expectations, when the day was over. Our guests are still telling us (two weeks later) that they had the most fun at our wedding than any other that they've ever been to. They also keep mentioning that they want to go back to Union Stage just to get some pizza, because it was amazing. Thank you for helping to make our wedding-dream/vision come true!
