I had the pleasure of working with Tone Events for my wedding. It made a huge impact on not only my wedding day but the journey leading up to it. Ivana was my head planner and Katie was also very involved and supportive. During my wedding planning process and up through/post wedding, I have been experiencing some health challenges. Tone Events’ attention to detail, creativity, organization and thoughtfulness took so much stress away from me! Ivana was super attentive to my questions and needs. She was very professional every step of the way handling some complex planning for the day and a large-sized wedding with poise and grace. Every step of the way, Tone Events was there for me and my family: specifically with detailed lists to keep on track, video calls to collaborate, and with attending key planning meetings with me. I want to emphasize how customized their approach is and how you can tell they put their heart and soul into their work. That approach truly paid off because my husband and I have been touched to receive countless compliments insisting that our wedding was the best wedding our guests have attended ;). Also, I still miss being in touch with Ivana and Katie because they made the time leading up to my wedding extra special and left a lasting impact on my heart, too. I'm excited for future couples reading this review to work with them too and can't wait for you to have your own magical day!

As someone who works in the wedding industry and has witnessed hundreds of weddings, I thought I had seen it all. But even with my experience, I could never have imagined a more perfect wedding day than ours—and that is entirely thanks to Ivana, Annie, and the incredible team at Tone Events.

Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how amazing the Tone Events team was. Many of them commented on how friendly, accommodating, and professional the team was, which only added to the magic of the day. It was clear that Ivana and her team genuinely cared about making our wedding not just a success but a reflection of who we are as a couple.

I cannot speak highly enough about Katie, Ivana, and the entire Tone Events team. Our wedding was far from simple, and required sourcing a lot of our own vendors and a massive amount of coordination across the board. Simply put, we could not have done it without Katie. She had every single detail covered. Her communication and attention to detail were unparalleled. She held us accountable to decisions and deadlines, and when push came to shove, I felt completely comfortable with her making decisions on our behalf whenever necessary. She thought of things I would never in a million years have thought were important. When we struggled to find a vendor or service, Katie offered up excellent recommendations and knew the right way to go about each task. On top of her organization and thoroughness, Katie's attitude, demeanor and sense of humor were simply lovely. She was a true joy to work with during an otherwise overwhelming time. The same applied to Katie's team who she brought in towards the end of the planning process and for the wedding weekend. Every member of her team was kind, professional, and excellent at their job. At various points throughout the weekend, I found myself thanking my lucky stars that we had Tone Events running the show! My family and I loved the time we spent working with Katie, and future couples will be lucky to have her make their dream wedding a reality.

Where do I even begin?! My husband and I had our dream wedding at Belle Mer in Newport, RI in May of 2023, and I truly do not think we would have had a wedding at all if it weren't for Katie and her amazing team (shout out to Lexie!!). From the very beginning, Katie and Lexie were absolute ANGELS - So professional, kind, and organized. Being the only girl in my family, we were absolutely clueless on how to plan a wedding, so Katie stepped up and guided us every step of the way. She was a dream to work with, making herself available whenever I had questions, and also pushing me when I needed to be pushed (LOL - I'm not the best at decisions). Apart from Bridezillas, I think I was the next worst client to work with, since I was so indecisive and deferential that I put a LOT more work on Katie's shoulders, which she handled with complete grace and professionalism. Not one single stone was left unturned, every minute detail was thought out and executed, so our wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Our vendors knew exactly what to do and were coordinated PERFECTLY. To the point where so many of our guests said they had never been to such a coordinated wedding - So easy, so devoid of stress (for us, very unlikely for Katie and Lexie, but they didn't show it an ounce). I could tell a million stories about Tone Events as a whole, from the adorable gift Katie sent when we first booked her team demonstrating her unnecessary, but so appreciated, thoughtfulness she demonstrated throughout the entirety of the wedding planning process, to Lexie DRIVING to my Air-BnB to get my undergarments for my outfit change simply because I mentioned that I forgot it and told them not to worry about it. Again, just constantly demonstrating they go above and beyond in every aspect of the process. I think of all of the things Katie and her team did for me and my husband, and I know that I only know HALF of what they actually did - I am just so grateful and blessed. Apart from being the best wedding planners I could have asked for, they are just incredible people. Any time anyone asks me what I’d recommend for them in the wedding planning process, my first recommendation is a wedding planner, specifically, a Katie. We are forever indebted to Tone Events for giving us the best day of our lives.

Katie, owner of Tone Events, was flawless. Her design creativity, communication skills, people skills and knowledge of the industry were beyond beyond. She listened to our wishes and created the perfect wedding for our daughter and her new husband. She was also very sensitive to our budget and charges a very fair amount for the NYC wedding industry. As the Mother of the Bride, I highly recommend her to plan your perfect day! Katie is a “diamond in the rough”.

Katie was a pure delight to work with! Wedding planning can be so stressful, especially if you have big visions and ideas that you are trying to fulfill. Katie made herself available to talk and help at any time. Her expertise was also appreciated when it came to difficult decisions. On the day of the wedding she got to the venue early to ensure a smooth unloading process from venders, inspect that everything was to my liking, and ensure that all of the days events ran on schedule and smoothly. Her team is also phenomenal! Lexie was my bridal assistant and she made me feel so special! She helped me with outfit changes and even went above her duties to direct and edit a funny video I was trying to make with the bridal party. If you want your wedding to be as magical and perfect as you dreamed I highly recommend Tone Events. Even my photographer said that after 15+ years of being in the wedding industry she was so impressed with Katie. It’s hard to find the right wedding planner, but look no further than Tone Events! Wow. Ok. Katie Malfettone IS THE LITERAL BEST PLANNER AND MAYBE PERSON IN THE WORLD. No but really. If you want to have an awesome wedding and not have to think about anything the week of your wedding then Katie is your girl. Our experience with Katie was the most comforting and peaceful element of the wedding process. Since we were getting married at Brazos Hall we had to bring everything in and at the beginning it seemed so overwhelming. But not once we got Katie on our side! Katie was always on top of everything and made sure that even when I was dragging my feet on making a decision (it happened with literally everything because i could NOT be more indecisive) that we did not miss out on a vendor or a deadline. We went in only wanting a final details package, but Katie was so amazing that we just kept adding more services. In the end- i think my mom and I only regret we hadn't had her do more! I was a bride who wanted a wedding that was NOT traditional and Katie embraced my quirkiness and desire to have a wedding that was out of the box early on. She helped guide me to small touches that ultimately on the night of the wedding were picked up on by guests as some of their favorite elements. Katie never let me feel like an idea i had was stupid, but always steered me back if I got a little too kooky (i mean, at one point i wanted a ball pit at the reception and she didn't even bat an eye!). We really only had two "problems" in the planning process with different vendors and Katie was always right there to help. The 2 weeks leading up to the wedding i had countless people come up to me and ask why and how i could be so calm. I told them I had the best wedding planner ever and she was worth every penny. At one point two days before I turned to my mom and said "but what if the cake doesn't come?!" and she reminded me to stop it that Katie had it all under control. And she did! I mean, at one point during the reception I was dancing so hard that the snap on my skirt broke. And there was Katie, pinning me up in the back and sending me out ready to keep on dancing. Nothing phases her and she controls the room like a pro. Not only is she a fantastic planner but she's fun, hilarious, kind and a joy to be around. She made wedding planning a blast and TBH i miss it. TLDR: Katie met all our expectations and more and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!
