Situated in Chicago, Illinois, theWit Hotel is a contemporary hotel and wedding venue in a vibrant and artistic area. It is surrounded by the theater, arts, and shopping district of the Windy City, creating an energetic vibe for any occasion. Inside the hotel, the design has been carefully executed to engage the senses, helping to make it a memorable place. As a backdrop for "I dos," the hotel's interiors and staff's services enhance any wedding celebration.

Facilities and Capacity

The event spaces in theWit Hotel have been carefully renovated into contemporary retreats. Multiple ballrooms are featured throughout, with ample natural light and urban vistas. These spaces are suitable for both ceremonies and receptions. The hotel also has two conference rooms that can be rented. On the top floor, couples can host their reception with up to 325 people on the Roof. This climate-controlled space spans 5,000 square feet and has a retractable ceiling. Another event space is The Gateway Room, which can accommodate up to 175 individuals. It features large windows that offer views of State Street. Gatherings with up to 25 can be held inside this space's private dining room. Smaller soirees with 50 loved ones can also occur in the Phoenix Lounge.

The hotel's culinary team and bar staff also assist in making your event a reality by curating a complete dining experience. The hotel's team also offers setup and cleanup services and event rentals such as linens, tables, chairs, and more.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at theWit this past October and it was absolutely amazing! One of the best things about having your wedding here (other than the stunning views of the city and the delicious food) is Brittney Epstein. This awesome lady helped me through EVERY step of planning our big day and I have no idea what we would have done without her. She is SO organized and a total professional. There were times I thought I was going to have a full on bridezilla moment and but she always kept me calm. Thanks to Brittney, theWit team, and our incredible vendors we had a gorgeous wedding that went off without a hitch!

Our Wedding was in October of 2015 at the ROOF of TheWit Hotel. From the very beginning of the planning process, we had a fantastic lead in Brittney, the hotel's point of contact for us. She took the time to learn our vision for both the ceremony and reception, and executed it to perfection. Yes, our entire event was perfection! Our guests raved about our afternoon wedding and commented it was one of the best weddings they have ever experienced. A lot credit goes towards the fantastic food and beverage (both were abundant) service; the bartenders and staff made sure there were no lines at the bar, the food was easily accessible and presented beautifully. As for the venue, we had a late morning ceremony followed by the 1PM reception, both at the ROOF. The incredible views of the city combined with a glimpse of Lake Michigan and the Millennium Park, as well as the brilliant sun bathing the dance floor created a surreal, fairy tale-like celebration. Brittney's thoughtfulness and attention to detail were incredibly helpful - from the valet service and guest escort to our favorite bottle of wine in our room and the final dance song selection - the personal touches we did not even expect, were there. The "Hangover" balcony was open and was a huge bonus for the city-view pictures and additional space to hang out.
A big Thank You to Brittney and everyone at TheWit for making our wedding such a beautiful memory.

Great place for our New Year's Eve Wedding! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour on the ROOF, reception, and our wedding block all at theWit. Brittney Epstein, the Senior Social Catering Manager, was there for us throughout the entire planning process. Her team was incredibly accommodating, and available for all of our needs (and guests needs) throughout the weekend. The Mac-n-cheese bar, champagne toast (and ceremony champagne) and late night snack bar were guest favorites! I would definitely recommend this venue for anyone getting married in downtown Chicago. I felt like a princess all weekend and look forward to visiting them for dinners and on the ROOF!

Our wedding ceremony and reception was held at theWit on May 7, and it was honestly the most perfect day! The staff at theWit was outstanding and exceeded our expectations, making sure everything flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Brittney Epstein was absolutely AMAZING! She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every detail that went into the day/night. We held our cocktail hour on ROOF and our reception was in the third floor ballroom. The venue is gorgeous and views are absolutely breathtaking. We still receive compliments (almost 5 months later) on how beautiful our wedding was. Thank you to theWit for helping us achieve the wedding of our dreams! I would highly recommend theWit!

My husband and I just got married on the Roof of theWit! We absolutely loved the gorgeous views from the 27th floor! The food and drinks were amazing, and the staff was so helpful with the planning process and all throughout the event. Britteny was our main contact and she was very responsive, helpful, and personable throughout the entire process. She and the rest of the staff worked hard to ensure that we and our guests had a fantastic experience! Our weekend was truly magical! This venue gets my highest recommendation.

I would highly recommend the Wit Hotel in Chicago to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue for their wedding and an exciting place for their guests to visit and stay. Our hotel suites were modern and spacious for our daughter's wedding. The staff was very attentive and professional to all our guests. There was an elegant ceremony in the Wilde Ballroom, followed by cocktails and a reception on the Roof Patio. The wedding guests were in awe of not only the wedding space, but the spectacular views of the city around them. The Senior Social Catering Manager, Brittney Epstein , went above and beyond for my daughter and her fiance, to give them the wedding of their dreams. While planning a wedding can be overwhelming to many, Brittney was a pleasure to work with and encouraged us to have fun with it. The wedding was just perfect and we could not have done it without her. The Wit Hotel in Chicago is lucky to have her and so will anyone looking to have their special day there. Your in good hands with Brittney Epstein!

ABOVE & BEYOND what we dreamed about!!! The Wit and its staff made our special evening on 6-11-16 something that our guests will be talking about for years to come. The food was knock your socks off (hats off to their amazing chef and her creations), the service was incredible from the moment you arrive at the front door to the second you leave. There are a few very special people that I would like to highlight for exceptional service. Brittney Epstein Senior Social Catering Manager is a pleasure to work with she really listened to what we wanted and what our vision was. She helped make it come to life and was there making sure every detail fit into place the night of the event. Her attention to detail and coordination between staff with the help of Paul the day/night of our wedding and the multiple locations Wit Rooftop (cocktail hour) the Ballroom (reception) and all our outside vendors allowed us to enjoy or big day and relax knowing that they would make sure it was all perfect and it truly was. We are so grateful for everything they did and have memories that will last a lifetime thanks to The Wit and the staff.

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Wit hotel a few weeks ago. Brittney Epstein and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had cocktail hour on their famous, "ROOF," bar and then held our dinner and dance in the Wilde ballroom (144 guests). The food were not only generous portions, but every filet was cooked to perfection. The staff kept the wine flowing and the dance floor was packed all night. We also had our brunch the next day on THE ROOF, which was a blast as well! Brittney's also helped book our florist, Studio AG, whose flower arrangements were beyond beautiful. From the time we checked in with Chris and were handed warm chocolate chip cookies, from the time we checked out, the staff know how to execute hospitality. We would do an event here again in a second!

The Wit was spectacular! We planned the wedding while living out of town, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The hotel has very hip decorations and doesn't look like the typical stuffy hotel. Our guests were delighted by the views and the comfort in their rooms and in the event spaces. Because we had so many guests coming in from out of town, the location of the hotel next to the train stops was very convenient. Upon checking in, we were greeted by numerous employees asking us what they could do to help, and it made us feel like royalty. The day of the wedding, the hotel provided extra unplanned-for space to keep the bride and groom from seeing each other before the ceremony. Hotel staff continued checking in on the bridal suite on the wedding day to make sure everyone was happy, comfortable, and calm! The food was AMAZING. Our catering manager even arranged for several of the bridal party to go up to the rooftop bar and skip the line after the reception was over. Many kudos to our catering manager Paul and our event manager Brittney for providing such wonderful service.
