At the Red Barn at Hampshire College, weddings of up to 130 guests can be accommodated. Featuring original wooden beams, polished floors, and string lighting, the restored barn is ideal for entertaining and dining. Large windows flood the space with natural light while offering verdant views of the surrounding landscape. Additional decking space can be used for cocktail receptions during the warm summer months. For an outdoor ceremony, the manicured lawn space is a beautiful spot to say "I do." The tall majestic oak tree creates an incredible backdrop for wedding photography and film.

As good as it gets!
Everything we could want and more for our gay wedding
On the day-of, I handed our memory table materials and other gifts, card boxes, seating charts, etc. to the event staff and they took it all and made it look gorgeous.
The food was exceptional, and had great options for a variety of dietary restrictions--gluten-free, dairy-free and vegans all had plenty to choose from.
In terms of it being queer friendly, there was never any issues. They even changed the bathroom labels from gendered to "with urinals" and "with stalls."

Beautiful Venue and Wonderful Staff
Aside from the beauty of the venue, the staff are the true selling point. We worked with Ella as our day-of coordinator, and she is absolutely fantastic. Her role in the process far exceeded what I expected from a day-of coordinator - she was in regular contact with us as we planned in the entire year ahead of the wedding. My favorite thing about Ella is that she is effortlessly on top of every last detail while remaining so calm and centered. I was worried about feeling anxious and distracted by the details on the day of the wedding, but there was nothing to worry about with Ella in charge. She knew the chance of rain down to one percentage point (it did not rain!). She removed unnecessary chairs from the ceremony site when guests cancelled at the last minute, and pulled their place cards to keep any chairs from looking empty. She was so kind and helpful the whole day. Her personality made everyone in the room calmer and more present. We would highly recommend the Red Barn (and Ella!) to anyone considering it for their wedding!

The Red Barn at Hampshire College is excellent. I had never shot in a barn type venue before and had requested to visit the facility in advance of a wedding ceremony. Isabel had gladly allowed me to walk the grounds and conduct test shots throughout the facility prior to the wedding. Because of that advance visit, the bride and groom was able to get wonderful and beautiful shots throughout the venue. I love working with the staff of the Red Barn and had a wonderful time. They were extremely friendly and went out their way to make sure we were all set. I felt like we were in good hands. I would recommend the Red Barn at Hampshire College to have a celebration there.
