Church & Temple Wedding Venues in Springfield

I am not sure if you have to be a member to be married here. You may have to talk to the Senior Pastor for approval.

Beautiful chapel for quite a low price. It's not a real church, so we were allowed to have a civil ceremony there. Candles weren't allowed, hence the taking off half a star for flexibility. But the interior is so beautiful that we were able to save on decorations -- we didn't do a thing to decorate it, and it was still just gorgeous. Amherst College seems to be a bit of the forgotten school to have weddings in Amherst (people go to Hampshire for them all the time), but I was so glad to be more in the center of town, surrounded by all this great history and architecture. Don't just automatically pass Amherst College by as a potential wedding venue! I, for one, could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else.

This is my first review of a church! Pastor Ray Medeiros is, hands down, the coolest pastor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We coordinated a distance wedding from Los Angeles and he was fantastic with suggestions, communication, recommendations and was very open to our ideas and extremely accomodating. He also reminded us of Ray Romano, everybody loved (Pastor) Ray(mond) on our wedding day! The church is adorable (although it isn't air-conditioned, luckily our ceremony was less than an hour long) and quaint with a private sitting room downstairs for the bride and bridesmaids to sit and relax before the big walk down the aisle. I was able to sit and review my vows in a plush comfy chair with sunlight streaming in, such a peaceful and pretty place. Set in a tiny town with one stoplight, we enjoyed a simple, lovely ceremony and Pastor Ray was so warm and kind that we couldn't have asked for a more positive experience. Five stars!
