The Red Barn at Hampshire College was the perfect venue for us. Everything was so beautiful, the staff are incredible to work with, and the food was absolutely delicious. We worked with Ella and we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator. She is extremely kind, helpful, and was so patient with us as we were planning out-of-state. She made everything so easy and made the planning process so much more enjoyable! Our guests are still raving about the atmosphere and food. Everything was better than we could have imagined and our wedding will forever be one of our favorite days because of Red Barn!

As good as it gets!
I truly can’t say enough about my experience at the red barn working with our coordinator Ella. She has this wonderful ability to be both extremely kind and empathetic, while also making sure your day goes exactly as planned. The venue is absolutely breathtaking, and I am still receiving compliments at how delicious the food was. The venue and staff are also extremely accommodating. I would choose this venue 1000 times over. If you are reading these reviews, questioning booking, look no further you have found your dream here!

Perfect Venue
The Red Barn was perfect for our wedding in every way. The venue itself was beautiful, both the natural beauty in the area and the structure and decorations themselves. The staff, from the coordinators to the caterers, were extremely courteous and helpful. They helped everything run smoothly and we never had any lingering questions about how things were going to go. This helped us enjoy our day. Everything was perfect!

Everything we could want and more for our gay wedding
My wife and I were married at the Red Barn earlier this month. We worked with Barbara, and she and her team absolutely killed it. We initially chose this venue because my partner is an alum, but it meant a lot to write such a big check to support a school that is doing such good work in the world. We also then fell in love with it because it was a one-stop-shop: no rental tables, chairs, no finding a separate caterer or bartender, it is all just there. We didn't even decorate the space because it is already so beautiful.
On the day-of, I handed our memory table materials and other gifts, card boxes, seating charts, etc. to the event staff and they took it all and made it look gorgeous.
The food was exceptional, and had great options for a variety of dietary restrictions--gluten-free, dairy-free and vegans all had plenty to choose from.
In terms of it being queer friendly, there was never any issues. They even changed the bathroom labels from gendered to "with urinals" and "with stalls."

LGBTQ+ Friendly and Magical!
We had a beautiful spring wedding in June at the Reb Barn. It is a magical venue, and the event coordinator, Ella, and the team go above and beyond. The day was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined! As a queer/LGBTQ+ couple, we loved that the venue was very inclusive and proud! They proudly display portraits of LGBTQ+ couples on the walls and are incredibly welcoming to all.

Beautiful Venue and Wonderful Staff
My spouse and I got married at the Red Barn on September 1st, and we cannot say enough good things about the venue! Everyone in attendance commented on how beautiful the barn and the outdoor space are. We didn’t really need to decorate because the space is so gorgeous as is. One of the greatest selling points for us was the beautiful outdoor space with a large tree to have the ceremony under. I was originally hesitant to get married outside in Massachusetts because of the unpredictable weather, but the Red Barn has an airtight rain plan and the indoor backup is also beautiful.
Aside from the beauty of the venue, the staff are the true selling point. We worked with Ella as our day-of coordinator, and she is absolutely fantastic. Her role in the process far exceeded what I expected from a day-of coordinator - she was in regular contact with us as we planned in the entire year ahead of the wedding. My favorite thing about Ella is that she is effortlessly on top of every last detail while remaining so calm and centered. I was worried about feeling anxious and distracted by the details on the day of the wedding, but there was nothing to worry about with Ella in charge. She knew the chance of rain down to one percentage point (it did not rain!). She removed unnecessary chairs from the ceremony site when guests cancelled at the last minute, and pulled their place cards to keep any chairs from looking empty. She was so kind and helpful the whole day. Her personality made everyone in the room calmer and more present. We would highly recommend the Red Barn (and Ella!) to anyone considering it for their wedding!

Perfect Venue
We had our October 27th wedding at The Red Barn at Hampshire College and we could not have asked for a better venue for our day.
The location is unbeatable. With background views of mountains, fall foliage, and tall grass it was an absolutely beautiful place to have our ceremony and take photos.
The barn itself is gorgeous all on its own even without extra decor and the rustic and intimate setting was perfect.
Our interactions with staff were great. Victoria was our coordinator and we really felt like she quickly understood us as people and knew how to help us make decisions that would align with our vision. Can’t say enough about how helpful she was.
It was truly the best, most fun day of our lives and we owe so much of that to our experience at The Red Barn. Forever thankful to have found them!

Beyond thrilled with our experience
We had the most amazing experience with this venue. Not only was the site location gorgeous and everything we had hoped for, but the team was exceptional. Victoria was our coordinator and she answered all of our questions and provided suggestions to help bring our vision to fruition. She was a blast to work with and kept everything organized and running smoothly all the way leading up to the wedding and then the actual day of. The food was phenomenal and people are still talking about what a great day it was. We could not be any happier and our day was perfect because of the team and the grounds. We cannot recommend The Red Barn enough.

I had never planned on getting married in my hometown, but when I stepped into the Red Barn for a tour I instantly knew this would be our venue. The gorgeous setting for our ceremony against the oak tree, set far back from a quiet road, the gorgeous barn interior and perfect bridal suite - it was all better than I imagined. The highlight of my wedding planning process was our coordinator, Ella Colton. She truly held my hand the entire way, giving me recommendations, keeping me of track, and making suggestions when I was totally lost. The day of, her and the Red Barn team made everything so simple and easy. Ella helped bustle my dress, made sure I ate and drank, and kept me on schedule. The banquet team and bartenders were so great and the food was delicious! I truly can't imagine having our ceremony anywhere else!

Working with the Red Barn Team was a Dream!
We are so happy we chose the Red Barn at Hampshire College for our wedding! We worked with our event coordinator Ella over the last year or so to hammer out all the important details (large and small) and she was incredibly detail-oriented, helpful and patient with us. We attended a tasting in the winter to help shape our catering menu, which was definitely a hit with our guests. We did apple cider donuts and a small cutting cake for us, both of which were delicious! The venue itself is lovely and the view from both the cocktail space and the ceremony space is wonderful. They also have working relationships with many local vendors so making sure our vendors coordinated on small details was a breeze. Definitely consider The Red Barn for your event!!

Perfect Day at the Red Barn
We got married in June 2024 and had an incredible wedding thanks to Victoria at the Red Barn. She was so on top of the planning process, working with us through so many questions and options leading up to the day. The day of the wedding she went above and beyond setting up the venue and our decorations, and even predicted an incoming torrential downpour, getting our ceremony done within seconds of the rain starting!! Victoria is the best and if we had to do it all over again, we would get married at the Red Barn. It was a beautiful, perfect day and we felt like we were in good hands the entire time.

A day we will never forget!
The only thing more awesome than the view and interior of the Red Barn is their thoughtful and dedicated team! All of the staff that our party came in contact with were attentive and easy to work with, making our experience truly exceptional. Barbara and Maddie were helpful throughout the process, flexible with our timeline and floorplan options, and were supported by a team who worked hard to make our wedding dreams come true. The Red Barn has a wide-array of food and beverage options - we went with the highest-tier package - and we were pleased with the overall cost, quality, and execution of the meal from start to finish. If given the chance to do it all over again, we would choose the Red Barn without hesitation. Thank you to the staff who made our special day perfect!

wonderful venue
My spouse and I met during Hampshire College orientation, and we graduated with many fond memories from parties and concerts held at The Red Barn. Returning to the venue ten years after first stepping inside, with the express purpose of getting MARRIED, was equal parts exciting and overwhelming. Thankfully, our wonderful coordinator, Ella, was with us throughout the planning process, pre-wedding rehearsal, and the big day itself, eager to hype up our excitement while taming our overwhelm. Considering the fact that we were planning from out of state, the level of support from Ella and the rest of The Red Barn team was absolutely invaluable. The staff was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the venue was beautiful. 10/10, would absolutely recommend The Red Barn for anyone looking for a wedding venue in Western Massachusetts.

Still the top topic of the week!
Oh believe me when I say this is the place you would “everything you’ve hope it would be!” It came out so much more!🤩 Make sure you have a set plan for through out the night! Barbara and her crew, they were the magical fairies of the enchanted barn and help bring our visions to life! 🥹🥹 When everything was lit up in the evening, it was like a starry night in a Vintage Hollywood Winter Wonderland! So much sass and so much class!! We had the Chef whip up something way-off his menu and he pulled it together!!💪🏼🫶🏻 IT WAS PHENOMENAL!!🫶🏻💪🏼The hors d’oeuvres were magnificent! Less than a 100 people and it was wild! This won’t be the end of us!👀 We’ll be back in the future!

The Red Barn provides event coordinators which unto itself is incredibly helpful. We worked with Ella and she took care of us. She was thoughtful, knowledgeable, kind, and productive. The food was delicious and our vendors were top notch. If we could, we would do it all over again!

We LOVE the Red Barn Team!
We are so happy we chose to book The Red Barn as our wedding venue for our September 2023 wedding. We live in another state and I cannot stress enough how helpful the Red Barn team was throughout the planning process with us not being in close proximity to the venue, or any of our family/friends/wedding party. The in-house catering made our lives a lot easier too but on top of that, the food was incredible! Our guests are still raving about the short rib. Our day-of-coordinator was Victoria and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was on top of it through the planning process, kept us on schedule day of, and took charge of whatever I needed her to!
Of course, the venue is gorgeous overlooking Mt Holyoke Mountain Range but the team is what really makes this place shine. Thank you, Victoria and Barb, for making our special day absolutely perfect!

Magical day at a magical venue
My husband and I got married at the Red Barn in early September and had a magical ceremony and reception. Our coordinator, Brittany, was supportive and communicative every step of the way. On the actual day, she was such a calming presence and somehow able to anticipate what we needed even before we said anything to her! The entire staff was wonderful too — so friendly and professional. The venue was breathtaking. We had the ceremony outside, under the tree, which was spectacular, but the barn was also beautiful with twinkling lights and the perfect ambiance for dinner and dancing. The bridal suite was also very comfortable for getting ready prior to the wedding. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend choosing the Red Barn and working with Brittany for your special day!

Awesome place for a wedding and great staff!
We just got married at the Red Barn a couple of weeks ago and it went perfectly. The nice thing about having the outside area for the ceremony, the deck, and the cabin available is that you can be flexible with how you want the "flow" of the wedding to go. Our coordinator Maddie was on board with us the whole way and really helped bring our vision to life. Thanks Maddie and thanks Red Barn!

We were married at the Red Barn last Friday, 8/18/23. It was absolutely perfect. Maddie was our coordinator and was so wonderful from the first meeting, to the end of the night. Everything went perfectly and smoothly, the venue itself was stunning, and the food was incredible. All the guests couldn't get over how perfect it was. An Unforgetable Day!
We could not have asked for a better wedding at The Red Barn at Hampshire College! It was everything we wanted our wedding to be and even more! The barn itself has so much character and all of our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the space was along with the gorgeous ceremony oak tree and rolling hills in the background. The perfect venue for your special day
We feel so lucky to have found The Red Barn, a true gem. If you are looking for an amazing, rustic venue that takes care of a bulk of your planning responsibility, look no further! You are lucky enough to get food & bar vendors as well as a day-of coordinator when booking this venue. Ella, our assigned coordinator, was the absolute best. She met with us multiple times in person and on zoom starting months before our big day to help bring our vision to life. She also coordinated with our vendors, made the most detailed wedding day timeline, and setup all our decor (along with Victoria (who is a rockstar!!). Ella & Victoria were there all day to make sure we kept to schedule & everything ran smoothly. Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was (both outside & inside) and how amazing the food and drinks were.
Do not hesitate to book this venue, everything from planning to the day of execution was perfect. We can not thank Ella, Victoria, Jim, & the entire staff for making our day stress-free and wonderful. We are so thankful we choose The Red Barn for our special day!

All we hoped for and more!
Three months ago in early August, on one of the hottest days this past summer, my partner Thomas and I got married at the Red Barn. Throughout preparing for our wedding, we worked with Barbara, and on the day of our wedding, we had the pleasure of working with Victoria too. They were both so kind, helpful, organized, and down to earth, and a delight to work with. They did an amazing job bringing our vision to life, helping everyone stay cool, and keeping things in sync. On top of that, the food was delicious. If we were doing it again, we would choose the Red Barn in a heartbeat! Between the gorgeous ceremony setting, rustic, yet elegant barn, and the collaborative planning experience, our wedding was all that we hoped for and more.

Absolutely amazing!
The staff at the Red Barn was great. Ella worked with me leading up to the wedding, helping me with all the details, and making sure every last thing was taken care of. She contacted all my vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. The day of the wedding she kept everything on track, made sure me and my husband had a moment alone after the ceremony to eat some appetizers and have a drink before photos, checked in with us all evening to see if we needed anything, and even made sure we had drinks in our hand all night. The other staff was great as well and helped us pack everything up from the reception area and the bridal suite. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!

Choosing The Red Barn was the best decision we could have made. Not only did we love the venue as soon as we went for our first tour but having Ella as our coordinator made everything 100x better. She made the whole experience easy for us which was huge for how stressful the wedding process can be. From responding quickly to any questions we had to making sure the day of we had everything we needed. She made our night exactly how we wanted it and everything in between. Barb the manager, Jim the night manager, and every other staff member we came across were just so kind, helpful, and just simply amazing. We are so grateful we chose the Red Barn as the venue where we shared one of the most special days of our lives.

Amazing venue- amazing assigned coordinator
We loved the Red Barn, beautiful venue even without adding much of our own decor. We were assigned a coordinator, Ella, and she was wonderful in planning, met with us monthly at our request and more as it got closer. She answered emails quickly, and kept track of all kinds of things so I wouldn’t have to. Day of she coordinated lots of things including putting out all decor we brought and placing our 70+ vases and twinkle lights and things on the tables. It was all perfect and amazing. And the leaf changes in October are soo beautiful in the area. Lots of parking, handicap accessible, and accommodating when we needed it.
Must use their catering with a spending minimum, and that can include the cake from Atkins depending on the package you choose. Everyone raves about the food!!

Highly responsive, all in one place
I had a great experience working with Ella as my wedding coordinator. She made sure our wedding was tailored to the type of wedding we were looking for (from the pace of events to the style of the space). She checked in on us throughout the preparations and day of, and did lots of coordinating with outside vendors. Our wedding ran so smoothly thanks to her help (despite the fact that numerous of our guests arrived late). She knew just how to adapt to keep everyone happy. The food served on site was delicious, and something multiple guests noted. Very happy bride :)

Best wedding ever!
This was the best day ever! From the moment we started planning our wedding we knew the Red Barn was a top contender. This was at the height of the pandemic and the barn was so accommodating and even though we couldn’t view it in person yet they were quick to respond and incredibly helpful. They sent us great videos so we could see it. Immediately we knew this was it! Fast forward to the whole year before and we were given Brittany as a day of coordinator and she was a TOTAL rock star!! She was responsive, professional, and saw and supported my vision from the start. As a super indecisive person and bride I needed all the opinions and Brittany was able to give me her opinion and was above and beyond helpful! I couldn’t speak more highly of her and the barns staff as a whole! I would 100% recommend the barn to anyone who is looking for a beautiful rustic space!

The Red Barn facility and staff were phenomenal. As a bride you are often told to expect at least one thing to go wrong on your big day so be prepared lol. But not at The Red Barn! From the start the process was smooth , comfortable and professional, all while promoting the excitement and wonder of it all. The decor was GORGEOUS and everyone was so kind and accommodating! Ella and Victoria were a dynamic duo that kept all the moving pieces flowing smoothly. At one point Victoria drove my kiddos around in the golf cart just to keep them entertained while we did photos! It was more than I could have hoped for !!!!

THE Venue for your Custom Wedding!
The Red Barn at Hampshire College was an absolute dream to work with! From the very beginning, they were easy to work with, very responsive, and were one of the few venues that would allow us the freedom to decorate so that we could have the wedding that we've always dreamed of. Brittany, our wedding coordinator, was excellent.... always checking with us as we got closer to the wedding and made sure every detail was perfect. It ended up being quite a rainy day and Brittany remained positive and optimistic. When we had to pivot to an inside ceremony, they turned that room into the most beautiful ceremony site!!! Every guest raved about the food (it was incredible) and how beautiful the venue was! The service staff, bartenders, the assisting coordinators, and the evening site manager were attentive and willing to go the extra mile to make sure our guests were comfortable and the evening ran smoothly.

Wonderful experience with the Red Barn!
We had an exceptional experience working with the team at the Red Barn! Brittany was a star––so patient, prompt, organized and enthusiastic. We weren't having a traditional wedding in a lot of ways, and had lots of friends/family bringing in DIY components and Brittany was SO accommodating and helpful, and totally assisted us bring the vision to life. And the rest of the team was incredible as well, just so friendly and helpful. The space was perfect for our ~100 person reception. We had a 4-piece band and there was still space for a great dance floor. And the food was delicious! Everyone told us not to think too hard about food, since wedding food is "always mediocre" and that was absolutely not the case here––all of our guests raved about the food!! The transition from ceremony under the tree to cocktail hour on the deck to reception in the barn was seamless and perfect. We would 100% recommend The Red Barn to anyone having a wedding in the area.

An absolute dream!
The Red Barn is the total package- literally rentals, food, beverage, ceremony, reception space, bridal suite for getting ready.. I knew this was the venue for us when we fell in love with it mid-March! As beautiful as it was then, it was breathtaking on our July 23rd wedding.
Working with the Red Barn staff from start to finish (touring, tasting, correspondence the month of, the rehearsal, and of course the big day) was absolutely amazing. Barbara and her team were exceptional. They were responsive, creative, and professional. On our 95 degree wedding day they were also flexible- we were able to move our cocktail hour and bar inside the air-conditioned barn, and the natural shade from the (gorgeous) ceremony tree was perfect! The food was fantastic, and there was never a long line for the bar due the bartenders quick pace.

Absolute dream wedding at the Red Barn
Where to begin! We just had our wedding at the Red Barn at Hampshire College on 02 July 2022 and it was magical! Our Event Manager, Ella, was a complete pro and superstar to work with. You get assigned an Event Manager as part of the package when you book at the Red Barn (so you don't need your own!) and Ella was a gem from start to finish. She was responsive, helpful, and so kind and supportive at every step. You feel like you're planning your wedding with a close friend when you're working with her. The barn itself is beautiful: lush fields, beautiful giant oak tree that we used as backdrop for photos. The interior is stunning (big wooden beams and newly refinished floors, we rented drapes and twinkle lights- worth every penny it makes the room so magical!) And it's air conditioned! The chef, Seth, uses locally sourced products to produce the menu and the food was all excellent, our guests raved about the short ribs and appetizers! Ella helped me coordinate with Seth to prepare a special meal for one of our guests with really tricky dietary restrictions, so beyond nice. The covered patio outside was perfect for cocktail hour and people actually hung out on the patio all night to catch up with friends and chat. Everyone at the Red Barn was flexible on the ceremony site (it ended up raining and we did the ceremony inside, but it was stunning and we were so happy with how everything turned out. If you're looking for a beautiful barn setting, incredible staff, amazing food and the best time ever, look no further. Book this place!

The red barn was AMAZING! I don’t have the words to describe how perfect our experience was. Maddie was our coordinator and she was so responsive and helpful and really ensured that our day went as smoothly as possible. The venue itself is gorgeous and the food was incredible!! So many of our guests were raving about the ambience of the venue and the food. Everyone was so friendly and helpful the day of and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

The Red Barn at Hampshire College is a wonderful place to have your wedding!
We fell in love with the Red Barn when we toured it back in 2019. The ceremony tree is such a beautiful spot and the rustic yet romantic charm of the barn really sold us. We were fortunate to work with Barbara from the very beginning. She is amazing! She really helped our dream come to life and was so accommodating when we chose to post pone due to COVID restrictions. Barbara is incredibly responsive; even when she is out of office, she still emails you back within a few hours. The days leading up and the day of, Barbara and her team were superstars. The set up of the barn was picture perfect and the whole day went so smoothly. Every single member of the team worked to make sure we were happy and our guests were taken care of. Every one of our guests commented on how much food there was and how good it was! The staff at the Red Barn really know how to put on a wedding and we give the Red Barn, Barbara, and her team the highest recommendation!

Dream Wedding Venue
We had our dream wedding at The Red Barn!
When we were planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted to have our reception in a rustic/barn type of setting. We looked at a few places but they were much too expensive. My husband found The Red Barn on the Knot; we went and had a tour and ended up booking it two days later! It has everything you could possibly want without breaking the bank. Although it fits the “rustic barn” category, it is also very classy and elegant. The old wooden floors paired with the beams and the white lights are just a dream come true. Cocktail hour was on a beautifully renovated deck. Our ceremony was out by the big, beautiful “ceremony tree”, which was surrounded by fields of tall grass with mountains in the background, all of which was gorgeous for photos. During planning, we attended a food tasting at The Res Barn, catered by Seth Myers catering, and it was delectable. The food that was served on our wedding day was equally, if not more, delicious. Finally, and most importantly, the staff at The Red Barn are outstanding. We worked primarily with Brittany and Maddie who were both extremely supportive during the planning process. They guided us when needed, they made great recommendations, and they helped make our wedding the most special day ever.
I wish we could get married here all over again… 12/10 recommend this venue!

Perfect venue!
We are so happy that we chose to get married at the Red Barn! The combination of picturesque outdoor ceremony and cozy barn reception was exactly what we wanted. The bridal suite was also so convenient and helpful for getting ready.
Our day-of coordinator was Lia and she was fantastic! Easy to communicate with, answered all my questions during planning, and kept everything running smoothly on the big day.
We thought the food was great. Highly recommend adding the barn brew cocktail to the bar as our guests loved that, too! After the event, several people told us how impressed they were with the venue and staff - and we agree!

I could literally write a book about The Red Barn at Hampshire college. For starters: request Brittany if possible. She was the most responsive, kind, personable, organized human I’ve met. She kept my mind at ease during this entire process. Planning a wedding is not easy, but Brittany went above and beyond to help every step of the way. The venue is to die for. Unfortunately the weather did not hold up for us to have the ceremony outside however do not underestimate the beauty inside. It really does have the best of both worlds. The food was amazing!! I had so many people tell me how good it was. I am overall super happy with how everything turned out. Don’t wait to book them.

Beautiful Unique Venue
The Red Barn at Hampshire College is a beautiful venue! Our ceremony was outside by the big oak tree with the reception inside the red barn. The bridal suite is an amazing space with plenty of room for the whole bridal party (plus extras) to get ready. We had the hair and makeup artists come to the venue and it worked out great. Brittany was a fantastic wedding coordinator, always responding quickly to emails - no matter how many you sent in a day :). And she was there early the day of the wedding to help set up everything. She's very organized and helpful, but most importantly friendly. She never made it feel like you were a crazy bridezilla. I would definitely recommend adding the lights to your package, it made it feel extra special inside. Highly recommended as a wedding venue!

Beautiful Barn Venue!
This venue was amazing, I knew from the first walk through I had to get married here! First off The bridal sweet is so beautiful, was so comfy and accommodating since its below the venue, my wedding party loved it as did I! My fiancé was a little jealous we got to get ready in it and he couldn't haha. Second I would like to send a huge shout out to my wedding coordinator (who yes comes with the venue free of charge) a thank huge you!! Her name was "Katelyn" and she was such a blast to work with, very personable, took all my little details decoration wise, wrote them down and made the venue look beautiful the day of! She was always re assuring me that everything was going to go smoothly and work out. She also brought me and my husband appetizers and drinks to where our pictures were being taken which was really thoughtful of her! Her assistant "Veronica" also took my phone and took a bunch of pictures and videos for me which I really loved and appreciated! Third we chose to go through their catering company which after the complimentary tasting you get, we were sold! The beef tenderloin and chicken piccata were our main choices and they were delicious, literally not one of my guests complained about the food or deserts, which by the way we did the sweet treat bar and it was a tie between the mini cheesecakes and the brownies for me! We also did unlimited "Barn Brew" for our cocktail of the night and it was so good! Fourth the venue itself during peak season is so breath taking, the best scenery for photography is in October hands down! Fifth I say pay the extra and get the tool put onto the beams on the barn on the inside, it makes it look so much more whimsical! Lastly I would just like to thank everyone at The Red Barn from beginning to end, it was a long two years of planning and waiting but our day was so magical and beautiful I wouldn't have changed anything, I highly recommend getting married here to anyone whos looking for a warm fairytale barn wedding!

We can't thank Brittany and the rest of the Red Barn staff enough for their help over the past two years. They were so attentive to our constant emails, flexible with payments and due dates, and made sure every request and detail we had was accommodated! Everyone at the Red Barn was so amazing, and the whole wedding was absolutely perfect. Our wedding party felt so comfortable with Brittany directing us day-of, and our guests can't stop telling us how good of a time they had. The ceremony space was perfect, the cocktail hour was a hit, and the reception space looked amazing-- not to mention the catering was incredible! I was absolutely in love with the venue. The entire staff was super helpful with the process of planning the wedding. Truly a fantastic venue and vendor
Oh man, where to begin?? We hired the Red Barn back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding. Eloped during 2020 and ended up postponing the larger wedding a year, and finally celebrated it in August 2021 at the Red Barn. The venue was fantastic from every stage. Our coordinator was Brittany and she was always very responsive and kind, especially when we had a lot of last minute changes. The day was seamless and it gave us the opportunity to truly enjoy the event with our guests. Red Barn made so many things happen behind the scene to ensure that. Brittany was fantastic during the wedding, handling so many pieces that I thought we would have to juggle the day of. Red Barn bartenders and catering were fabulous as well - so sweet. Food was delish and we loved having the shortcake bar in lieu of cake.
And then there's the venue itself. The bridal suite was the perfect spot for my partner and I and family/friends to hang before the event. The barn was perfect for our ~65 guests - comfortable, elegant, and charming. The ceremony space was gorgeous and honestly needed very little decoration to really shine. Beautiful spot and endless nooks for photos.

I had my wedding at Red Barn & it was everything I wanted & more. We worked w/ Katelyn & she made sure that everything went as we planned. First off, everything about our experience with the Red Barn was amazing. We had to reschedule our wedding because of COVID and the Red Barn and our coordinator Brittany (who is amazing) made everything simple and stress-free.
The venue itself is beautiful and a great value (and has AC! Which some barn venues don't) and the surroundings are amazing. We received tons of compliments throughout the wedding about how beautiful it was.

I still cannot believe how amazing The Red Barn, Brittany and Barbara were in making our wedding the best day of our lives. Being a COVID bride, a lot of changes needed to be made and Brittany was there every step of the way. The decorations, the set up, the bridal suite, EVERYTHING was just perfect. Set up and take down was basically all done by the staff which made our lives so much easier. At the end of the night everything was boxed up and ready for us to take. Anytime I was running out of the barn brew - WHICH IS THE BEST DRINK EVER BY THE WAY - I felt like Brittany was there handing me another one! The food was outstanding, everyone raved about the food days after. There is not one thing I would change about our day, maybe besides the weather :) Thank you ALL for making our day one we will never forget.

Beautiful Venue, Amazing Value
Working with the Red Barn has been so smooth and great! Our wedding was postponed due to COVID and they were extremely knowledgable and accommodating as new guidelines came out. Our day was seamless, other than an a fuse going out the morning of. My coordinator, Lia, was right on the issue, and it was fixed immediately. Having a day-of-coordinator, as well as catering and cake options, included in the rental package, was amazing. Not to mention that the food was DELICIOUS. The venue itself is gorgeous! I would absolutely recommend the Red Barn to anyone getting married in the Valley.

This venue blew my expectations out of the water
This venue truly couldn’t have done anything better for us. We had our incredible, 85 people wedding here this past Saturday 8/10/19, and the day was completely from a story book. Everything I could’ve possibly dreamt of, the food was incredible from start to finish, the coordinator I had the pleasure of working with answered every single one of my annoying and OCD questions with the utmost detail and pleasure. There is literally nothing I would change about my wedding day, except maybe just to relive it over and over again. I love the red barn and everything it has to offer, the pricing is BEYOND accommodating, the venue itself is so genuine and true you need very very minimal decor to make it really shine, and the people all throughout again, are just so incredible and kind!!! Cannot thank them enough

Best Barn Venue
I always knew I wanted to get married in a barn. Not your rustic farm type wedding but a beautiful romantic barn. My search immediately started for one within a 2 hour range from our home and through many emails and calls I finally dwindled it down to visiting 3. Immediately after visiting the Red Barn we both knew this was the one. Not only are the grounds incredibly beautiful but they seemed to be the most stress free at the best value.
My process started with my coordinator Bridget who was awesome and about halfway through I learned she was going to be leaving and I became incredibly nervous about who I would work with and if they would be as a great as Bridget. The transition was very smooth and i shortly after started working with Brittany. Brittany was amazing!!! You would never know that she was new to the Red Barn. She always had an answer for me and always responded to me right alway. Any requests I had or one of my vendors had, she would always help accommodate.
During my wedding weekend this team was amazing. I never had to worry about anything and my guests were well taken care of. The venue has such beautiful areas to take pictures and to put up decorations. The food and drinks were great and all our guests had great things to say. Another plus is the central air which was high up on our must have list when getting married in late June.
I would highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom looking for a beautiful barn venue!

Beautiful venue that makes planning easy
The Red Barn is a fantastic place to get married. First of all, the team there will make your wedding planning process so much easier without having to hire an independent planner. Isabel helped us early on and Emily took over closer to the event, and both were incredibly responsive and were invaluable to making the day take shape.
Inside the Red Barn is a gorgeous venue but the real draw of the place is a majestic old oak tree that most ceremonies, ours included, are held under. Many of our guests remarked on how centering and awe-inspiring this tree was, and it truly provided a perfect anchor for an outdoor wedding. Cocktail hours typically take place in a covered porch that spills out onto the lawn, slowly bringing your guests indoors for the reception. Our guests loved the ability to be outside when it was nice and bright but to be able to retreat instead into the cozy barn during the reception. A number of guests continued to mill around the porch and grounds as dancing got started to have conversations in quieter spaces or just enjoy the outdoors.
An added bonus is that the Red Barn partners with a catering company that provides all food and drink, and they also provide linens, plates/cutlery, and tables/chairs (we rented nicer chairs than the basic package provides, however). The barn offers lights that can be strung up indoors (additional fee) and works with a number of partner florists and other vendors. All of this helps to streamline planning and ensure that you get items that work well with the space for minimal effort.
My wife and I are both so glad we went with the Red Barn for our special day!

A Perfect Day
We booked the Red Barn at Hampshire College the same day we toured the venue, only 2 days after finding it online. We knew we had found a hidden gem! From day 1, the staff was amazing and so knowledgeable, answering my (many) questions and offering any advice and support. Barbara, our wedding coordinator was phenomenal. She was so helpful, accommodated our every wish, and her professionalism allowed me to stay calm through the planning process. The food was amazing, the bridal suite was gorgeous, and the whole day went off without a hitch thanks to her and her wonderful staff. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue, staff, and wedding. Thank you!!!

A Unique and Affordable Venue
My daughter got married September 22nd at The Red Barn at Hampshire College and the experience was incredible! I was more involved with the wedding planning then most Mother's of the Bride and I had a lot of contact with Barbara (our wonderful Wedding Coordinator) and visited the barn a couple times prior to the wedding just to double check a couple details and every single interaction was professional and extremely helpful! It can be overwhelming planning a wedding and I always felt that I could rely on Barbara to help with whatever questions I had, and I had ALOT of questions! I knew there was a wedding coordinator but never expected to have the services she provided. She even jumped in to help decorate the venue the day of the wedding while we were busy getting our hair and make up done!
Now about the venue...It was magical! The barn itself is beautiful and you can decorate up or let the barn shine by itself. There is a lot of flexibility to add your own touch to your special day. We received so many compliments from our guests on the venue on how unique and special it was. We had a lot of flexibility on food choices and it was nice to be able to bring in our own outside vendor desserts and was credited for not using their dessert choices, many venues do not give you that flexibility. They also do not have a cake cutting fee which is also great. We received many compliments on the food it was not your typical wedding food, it was more like farm to table!
I definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique rustic wedding that is affordable, you will not be disappointed!

Couldn't ask for a better venue
We booked our date not long after discovering this gem online. The barn is a beautiful and has a rustic touch with all the wonderful modern amenities. The grounds are wonderfully kept and look incredible in pictures. Our coordinator Emily was wonderful and informative, she made the process seem less overwhelming. I had endless amounts of questions, she always responded in a timely manner and gave me advice on how to make it all come together. Our guests raved about our food, from cocktail hour to dinner and dessert. The Barn offers many choices for food and are flexible with any changes or dietary concerns you have. We could not have been more pleased with our choice from beginning to end. Our day went off without a single hitch and we must thank the Barn and their staff for all their incredible hard work.

The Red Barn at Hampshire College was a magical venue to get married at. I live in Hawaii and planned my wedding from 6,000 miles away. The Wedding Cooridnator Bridget was very patient and helpful in answering all of my questions along the way, and on the day of she was instrumental. My family members had so many nice things to stay about her work.
The venue itself went sight unseen until the day before the event. I was astounded at the beauty of the grounds and of the barn itself. It has such a great rustic feel to it. The food for the wedding was delicious. Some of my guests say it was some of the best food they had ever had.
All in all The Red Barn gets 11/10 from us.

The Red Barn is a fantastic venue and we were so pleased with our entire experience! The barn itself is a beautiful blank canvas and really came to life with the addition of our flowers and other decorations, and the organization by our coordinator (Bridget was awesome) made the entire day run smoothly! Rain and storms were in our forecast but Bridget made sure we had ceremony set-ups both outdoors by the tree and inside in front of the wall of windows so we could make any last minute changes with the weather. We ended up having the ceremony inside the barn during a complete downpour and have no regrets because the room looked stunning! We planned our wedding long distance and did not have a chance to go to the tasting but were thrilled with cocktail hour and dinner, and our guests raved about the food and cake. A huge thank you to Bridget and all of the staff at the Red Barn!

We loved, loved, LOVED our wedding day at The Red Barn! After researching venues online and hearing recommendations from others, we finally went to tour our first and only venue, The Barn. We quickly booked our June 2018 wedding because for one thing, the area and views are beautiful and provide the perfect backdrop in pictures and for all to enjoy. The barn is charming, maintained very well, and we loved that they literally take care of everything for you, from catering, desserts, beverages, lighting, linens, outdoor games, and to being able to have the ceremony at the same venue as the reception. That said, they are also very flexible and give you free reign to decorate and choose options that best fit you as a couple. We also can’t say enough about the staff, who went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Barbara B. was our coordinator and she was amazing!! Seriously. She was easily accessible, especially via email, and prompt when responding to questions, made sure all details and timelines were coordinated prior, helped set up the day before and the day of as well as ensured our ceremony started on time and everything ran smoothly, which it did. We also have to give a shout out to Jim, the banquet manager, who noticed we were missing the beginning of cocktail hour because of pictures so he drove up the golf cart and hand delivered drinks and apps to the wedding party! It was a day we will never forget, thanks to these wonderful people. We highly recommend this venue to any couple getting married!

Where to begin, this place was terrific through and through and was just what we were looking for when it came to planning our wedding. This place has the perfect balance between DIY and full service; we were able to put on our spin on things (flowers, look, decorations, set up) with the right amount of guidance along the way and without having to worry about a lot of the other details. The Red Barn is truly a unique venue that you can form to fit the big day for and being a potential all-in-one venue (ceremony, cocktail, reception) helped drive our decision. The staff was amazing and Barbara was great to work with along the way and helped make the big day run flawlessly.

I don't know where to begin with praise to the Red Barn at Hampshire College for the most perfect, beautiful wedding day. From start to finish, our experience with the Red Barn & specifically our fantastic wedding coordinator, Barbara, was absolutely exceptional. Not only was Barbara attentive, responsive & calm & collected the entire time, she was thoughtful & helpful when it came down to last minute shifts & updates to our day.
Communication with Barbara started soon after we put our deposit down & from then on, she felt like my right-hand woman throughout the entire planning process. She responded to my many questions quickly & directly. She helped work through big things like our ever-changing floor plan, as well as little things like pressing play on our entrance music for the ceremony. We are so fortunate to have had Barbara as our coordinator, I cannot say enough about how special she is & how amazing she made our day. She was such a trooper when we said YES, we still want our ceremony outside even though it's 34 degrees & she donned her puffy coat & stuck it out with us.
Aside from the fantastic assistance the staff at the Red Barn provided, we would be remiss to not gush over the food. We both love to cook & food has been a central part of our relationship, so we wanted somewhere that would give us a delicious menu, not just standard wedding fare. The Red Barn's farm-to-table menu is delicious & some of the best food we've had - period. All of our guests talked about how delicious the food was & the Red Barn was able to accommodate those with special dietary needs without a second thought.
If you are a looking for something rustic or are going for a more natural look & feel to your wedding day, we highly recommend the Red Barn as your venue. From day one through our wedding day, we were made to feel like VIPs. The Red Barn at Hampshire College made our special day even more amazing than we could have ever dreamed.

Where do I even begin?! First of all, we had Bridget as our day of coordinator and she is AMAZING! She's super nice and VERY patient (she didn't seem annoyed at all when I was asking her a million questions). She made sure that we had everything that we needed and made us feel super comfortable throughout the whole entire wedding process. From start to finish, Bridget was amazing! Secondly, the red barn is the most beautiful venue, especially in the fall! The layout, I think, is perfect (we even had our own bridal suite downstairs!). The view of the mountains is absolutely breathtaking! Lastly, the vendors that they recommend are all amazing as well and they made planning a breeze! Highly recommend this venue!

I honestly have nothing bad to say about The Red Barn. We first toured the barn in March of 2016 and booked our September 2017 wedding the next day. Barbara B was out event coordinator through the barn and she was fantastic. She always returned my emails promptly and was eager to make our day perfect! Which it was. Ive heard horror stories from brides about issues with their weddings, catering etc. One thing we loved about the barn was that the catering, beverage, desert and linens are all done directly though them.
The venue itself is breathtaking, we were so lucky to have perfect weather so our ceremony under the tree went off without a hitch. There are so many things happening on your wedding day the last thing the bride wants to do is think about anything. Barbara was my brain for the day. she told me where to be and when to be there. the ceremony started right on time. she told us when to walk, made sure we had food and drinks while we took photos during cocktail hour.
Truly, everything was perfect. i had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and i owe all of that to our vendors. The food was raved about, drinks were delicious. it was absolutely perfect. we checked out about 8 different barn venues and I'm so glad we went with the red barn!

I'm not sure I can properly express how happy we are that we chose The Red Barn. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a professional, helpful, reasonably priced venue, that's also absolutely beautiful. The barn is so cool and rustic, the tree is a perfect ceremony backdrop, and the surrounding views of the mountains are breathtaking.
Bridget (our day-of coordinator) was so kind and helpful through the entire process, answering all my emails and setting up any in-person meetings I needed. She never made me feel like I was a bother!
On the day of the wedding, it was pouring rain in the morning - so Bridget rearranged the entire reception area for us to be married inside, just in case it didn't stop raining. By 4pm, the rain had moved on and we decided to proceed with the ceremony outside. Within an hour, the seats outside were all wiped dry and the reception space was transformed back, ready for dinner and dancing. As the bride, it was a huge relief to know that no matter what - I did not have to worry about anything on that day...Bridget and her staff had it all handled.
Beyond what I experienced, I heard that our grandparents and elderly aunts and uncles were pleased to have the golf cart bring them up to the ceremony space and our bridal party was incredibly grateful when the staff brought up hor 'd'oeuvres and drinks as they suffered through pictures during cocktail hour (lol). Throughout the night, our guests repeatedly complimented the food, the service, the beauty of the barn at night with all the twinkly lights...it was truly magical.
We wish we could do it all over again - and we wouldn't change a thing!

The Red Barn is simply fantastic. The view of the Mt. Holyoke range is spectacular! The ceremony tree has a certain magic that we loved as soon as we stood under it, and the Barn itself is lovely too. The tasting event was so much fun! We had a chance to experience the Barn as it would be set up for a reception, which helped us imagine the décor we wanted. As a few others have said, we were slightly disappointed with some of the menu options served at the tasting and I worried over having booked a venue where we could not choose the caterer ourselves. However, Seth was extremely flexible and willing to accommodate our special requests for sauces, appetizers, etc. The food served at our wedding was DELICIOUS, exactly what we wanted, and displayed quite elegantly. Many guests complimented the food and went back for seconds and even thirds. Barbara, our coordinator, was AMAZING – responsive, organized, and so helpful! The DIY DJ set-up was easy to use and saved us thousands. There were no surprises in terms of the invoice, and pricing was crystal clear from the start, allowing us to stay within our budget. Because there was no event the day before our Friday wedding, we were able to decorate early, which allowed us peace of mind and more free time with visiting family. On the day of, Barbara and her team made sure every last detail was perfect and went off without a hitch. We had prepared to deal with the inevitable glitches and last-minute hiccups, but literally *everything* went smoothly as planned. Our experience at the Red Barn was quite literally perfect; we could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. Thank you, Red Barn staff!

Our coordinator, Bridget, was provided by the venue -- she was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process and made sure the day went smoothly. They also did the catering and the food was top notch. The best part is that it was incredibly affordable!

We had the absolute best experience having our wedding at the Red Barn. The coordinator (Barbara) went out of her way in communicating with us. She made herself available if we had any questions at all. The decor was beautiful and our family and friends are still raving about that special day. The food and appetizers were delicious. Thank you to Barbara and her staff for an unbelievable day! We could not have done this without your help. We highly recommend!!!

Having my wedding at the Red Barn was an absolute dream! Working with the staff leading up to the big day was amazing. They were all so kind, helpful and responsive. When we arrived at the venue on the day, it looked absolutely stunning. The kind and attentive staff helped the ceremony and reception run flawlessly. Our experience at the Red Barn was more than we could have hoped for, for an exceptionally affordable price. Our guests have not topped calling us today complimenting the ceremony by the tree, the elegance of the barn, and mot importantly, the food!! The food was exceptional!!
We ordered the beef tenderloin that could be cut with a butter knife it was so tender. The mixed green salad with beets and feta was to die for. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the side of acorn squash was delicious, not overly buttery and cooked to perfection.
Our experience was positive from the second the Red Barn was contacted. Isabel and Bridget, with whom I worked to coordinate things mostly via email, were responsive, and exceptionally timely in responding. They answered all questions asked and they were both very accommodating. Most importantly, the venue was flexible in terms of what I was looking for, pricing, and any changes that needed to be made.
Isabel and Bridget were kind, respectful and presented with excellent demeanors. When I was setting up, Bridget answered all questions that were asked and was as accommodating and professional as she was via email.
We would highly recommend the Red Barn for your wedding. Particularly, if you are looking for something elegant, intimate and beautiful that is accomodating. What I particularly enjoyed most as the bride was that it took little to no decorating for the venue to be beautiful. All we needed were the overhead lights. I had centerpieces I made and did my wedding on a budget. People were raving about how beautiful it was. It was the barn. If I had decorated, I felt like it would have been too much. The barn stands alone as a beautiful place to spend one of the most special days of your life.

The Red Barn at Hampshire College was the perfect venue for our wedding. Our coordinator Barbara was incredible. She made sure we were relaxed throughout the entire wedding-planning process, going above and beyond to make everything perfect. The food was incredible, so if you're looking for food that's truly a cut above the rest, The Red Barn won't disappoint. As far as drinks are concerned, we HIGHLY recommend adding "The Barn Brew" to your bar package. Your guests will thank you!

The Red Barn was the BEST venue for our wedding. Not only is it gorgeous, reasonably priced, and accommodating but they really do everything in their power to make your wedding day the best that it can be. We had Mike McKenna as our wedding coordinator on the day of and boy did he not disappoint! He was hands-on and working to make everything go smoothly from 5am until the very end of the day. He knew when to come and check to make sure we were ok, made sure we actually ate our dinner (this is HUGE) and helped us with the timing of everything. His attention to detail was perfect, and as a detail oriented bride, I had more than full confidence in his ability to take care of the details. I cannot tell you how rare of an experience that is for me, this may actually have been the one and only time now that I think about it. He was kind, sociable, and made the presentation of the venue just perfect. I handed him printed instructions of exactly where I wanted my decorations and had diagrams of how I wanted it to look, and he was grateful for the direction (I was afraid he would feel I was pushy) and he followed the instructions to a tee. The staff at the Red Barn were all friendly, happy and kind. I caught a few staff members dancing behind the bar to the DJ, they looked like they too had a great time. They all treated us like a king and queen the whole day. They had a room for the bride to get dressed, they were accommodating for our guests with walkers, and so much more. I seriously can't even remember all of the wonderful things that they did for us. We are talking seriously about having a huge party there for our wedding anniversary because they made it absolutely perfect. If we could give it more than 5 stars You can feel confident with your venue choice if you choose The Red Barn, and ask for Mike McKenna to be your wedding coordinator!

Our wedding was beyond perfect and that really is thanks to the staff at The Red Barn.
Barbara was super easy to work with and extremely responsive getting back to our emails within minutes, and being super quick with texts on the days leading up. The arrangement was also very flexible as we had several last minute changes, as all weddings do.
Even the day of, we had no idea if it would be raining or not. So the inside of the Barn was pre-setup just in case, with the outside setup also ready to go. So within a window of 10 minutes, the staff was able to go with our decision to try our luck outside and it worked out so beautifully.
THE FOOD. This was a huge part of why we chose the Red Barn, because they take care of so much. When we initially tried the food at our tasting, it was pretty good, naturally some things were disappointing, and others were good but not great, but it was excellent to be able to try so many different dishes before committing to our menu. But on our wedding day, WOW. The food was top-notch, on point, and the staff was great about clearing plates and even brought us our own plate of apps while were doing post-ceremony photos. The bar was well stocked with very choice liquors and beers, and no one was left waiting in line for too long.
The venue itself is just magical. We felt so taken care of by the staff and everyone there. All our needs were met, and afterwards everyone kept complimenting us on how great the wedding was. And we definitely owe the red barn and their staff for that.
As far as Value goes, we opted for the top tier food and drink packages, even added on space heaters and walls for the outside tent area, and the overall cost came to be less than we anticipated. With the quality of food and service provided, I definitely feel that even though there are always cheaper venues, The Red Barn was 100% worth it.

The Red Barn and the entire staff were incredible. Bridget was beyond helpful, and patient, as I planned from halfway across the country. From the first moment in the planning process until the second we walked out the door at the end of the night, I had complete confidence in Bridget and her staff. The process was stress free and easy. I honestly cannot say enough good things about booking my wedding here, we had the best day and it was all thanks to the staff.

Amazing venue! The venue coordinator Bridget H. Was absolutely amazing!
I picked a date and everything else was handled! I enjoyed every moment at The Red Barn, all my guests loved the ceremony tree which was amazing! I traveled all the way from Brooklyn, NY and it was worth every moment!
I recommend this venue for any event!
I will be back in 10 years to renew our vows and do it all over again!

I had a wonderful experience with the Red Barn, both leading up to and following my wedding. Barbara, my event coordinator, was wonderful! I planned my wedding from the Boston area, so I emailed her with a lot of questions leading up to my wedding on 6/17/16. She was very responsive and helped us execute our vision perfectly! I staged how I wanted all of the tables and décor to look and provided her photos in advance, and she and her assistant made the barn look exactly how I pictured it.
The Red Barn was very flexible to work with in general as well. My foodie husband's main priority was the food, (which is partially why he was hooked on booking here after reading the great food reviews), and the chef was able to make suggestions and changes to the menu so that it was exactly what we envisioned on our special night. They were also extremely accommodating when it came to our gluten & dairy free guests, which was wonderful. We had the Mediterranean bar as our stationary appetizer, along with passed grilled shrimp, mini beef wellingtons and chicken satay (with a sauce we chose). Our sit-down dinner entrees were the grilled salmon with seasonal salsa (which we tweaked a little) and beef tenderloin with red wine demi-glaze. All of the food was absolutely incredible and surpassed our expectations! In terms of drinks, we offered the signature beers, wine & barn brew (as our signature cocktail). Our guests were raving about the drinks as well. It's been a month & we still have guests raving about the food, drinks and service at our wedding!
If you get married during a time with great weather, I highly suggest having your bar set up outside on the deck. Our guests loved being able to go outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery and great weather throughout the night.
We had an incredible wedding reception at the Red Barn and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful venue to anyone!
