Smith College Conference Center

When we had to reschedule our wedding this fall, our hopes were not high for securing a venue on short notice. Finding this venue was like winning the lottery! They handled everything we no longer had time for, and Emily was so friendly and helpful. We are beyond pleased with how beautifully things turned out, and can't recommend this place enough!

Smith College Conference Center was the perfect spot for our wedding ceremony and reception. The nearby gardens made for fantastic photos, and the lush greenery around Paradise Pond was a gorgeous backdrop for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Dinner upstairs and dancing downstairs was the perfect combination that left us plenty of room for our 85 guests to mingle, relax, or dance.

We also had plenty of space for getting ready, and a lot of flexibility for decorating the day before. Emily and her team were fantastic to work with. She was extremely professional, skilled, and helpful both in the months leading up to the wedding, and on the big day itself. We felt very well taken care of and totally stress free knowing that we had such a fantastic venue coordinator.

I cannot recommend this venue enough!

Smith College Conference Center was the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding. We loved the fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception with dance floor could all happen under one roof.
The outdoor covered deck allowed the ceremony to be protected from the weather yet still had the outdoor feel with views of the water. There were rooms for both the bridal and grooms parties to get ready.

The location in Northampton was great for her out of town guests many of whom flew into Bradley International. Most had never been to New England had an easy ride ride up to Rte 91.
Emily was a pleasure to work with. She made the whole process simple. Everything went as planned.
Our guests raved about the venue.
The nearby gardens were an added bonus for photos.

I worked with Addison and he was great! This venue is unique and beautiful. I did a winter wedding and the all glass windows was such a beautiful view. They are extremely flexible. If you have a vision you are free to make it happen. I was able to go in the day before and decorate the space how i wanted. Price is great!

I am so happy we picked Smith College Conference Center for our reception! We were on a tight budget and this was the perfect price. The great price included a large area including an upstairs, downstairs, and balcony area. Plus beautiful sunset views of the pond. They were very flexible and helpful in the planning process. Would absolutely recommend!

We were really happy with the Smith College Conference Center - we had our ceremony here for an October wedding. It was nice and easy to plan - and perfect in its location, which was less than a mile away from our reception. We had gorgeous views of the fall foliage from our ceremony, and loved the mid-century vibe the welcoming room has. We were also pleased to be so close to the beautiful red bridge over the pond, and the botanical garden for portraits.

We had a cocktail hour and reception at the Conference Center in the fall. While it isn't a particularly fancy building and doesn't scream "wedding," the space was newly renovated and worked very well for us. The furniture (particularly dining chairs) was much nicer than at other similarly priced venues. The sunset over the pond during our cocktail hour was absolutely beautiful, and I loved having the covered deck for outdoor space that still felt connected. We were also able to use beautiful rooms in the older attached house to get ready, and Addie was very flexible about letting us set up ahead of time (including storing our flowers in the cooler). The location was very easy to get to and parking wasn't a problem for guests. We did a bar package through them (as required), and it ended up being cheaper than quoted, plus there were great selections of craft beer without an upcharge - something I didn't see elsewhere. Our caterer was also happy to work in the space. Though Addie recommended a DJ or at least extra sound equipment, we just used our computer and the sound/volume were totally fine, even with a crowded dance floor. The one issue we had was that Addie was difficult to get ahold of at times, and would often require a few emails and phone calls to connect. We didn't end up signing a contract until ~6 weeks before the event, which made me nervous. However, once we were on the phone or meeting in person, Addie was flexible, professional, and extremely helpful. If you are looking for a flexible space in Northampton (close enough to walk to hotels or a cheap cab!), I highly recommend the Conference Center.
