We offer a relaxed atmosphere on a real working farm that is bustling with positive life and energy. Cricket Creek Farm is an active dairy farm with live animals and farm equipment; it is the perfect setting for anyone interested in having their celebration in a rural setting that is both breathtakingly beautiful and also an example of sustainable agriculture. Various sites can be used for a celebration including several pasture vistas, a historic farm our, and a renovated stone barn.
At the heart of our farm is our newly renovated classic New England style stone barn. With expansive views of Massachusetts' highest peak, Mt. Greylock, and the Green Mountains to the north. The northern facade features a floor to ceiling retractable glass wall and to the west is a cable railed deck overlooking the Berkshire hills. The barn retains it's agrarian roots with original flooring including hayloft doors while the ceiling of the barn has been reinforced with southern yellow pine buttresses and black steel runners providing the space a rustic-industrial quality. The barn is a perfect place to host your reception of up to 150.
Our fields are used year around for grazing small herds of Brown Swiss and Jersey cows. With their elevated, open views of the mountains the pastures are also used as ceremony locations and to host events of up to 300 under tents. We have three distinct sites to choose between: the High Pasture, under the Catalpa tree, or the field on Oblong Road.
Used primary as a cocktail hour location, the stone terrace is attached to the historic farm house that contians our bridal suites. The terrace extendes into an intimate garden surrounded by stone walls and perrenial beds. Apples, Oaks and Sugar Maples provide shade coverage.

We had our wedding at the farm this summer and although it was absolutely beautiful, the logistics were a nightmare. The farm is not a typical wedding venue, therefore they have many kinks to work out. They initially told us we could have 150 people in the barn, and so we put down a deposit. The rental company later told us that estimate was without a dance floor, and it would be very tight, so we had to move tables out of the way after dinner, inconveniencing guests. They told us there was little parking on site and we could rent a shuttle for guests and have them park at a nearby high school. So, we booked the shuttle, and then found out that the parking lot was under construction, which you would have thought the farm would check out first. They then found parking at the farm that should have been available initially, and were going to charge $300 for a parking attendant, so we found our own. The day of the event, we had unforeseen rain and our plans changed, and the farm staff claimed they were on site all day, but they were not close by to help us decide how to proceed, therefore we did what we thought was appropriate given that no one was around. They rent out rooms in the farmhouse that shouldn't be used given circumstances I wont discuss here, and this was the subject of most of our issues. They ended up taking money from our security deposit because of something that could have been prevented, had they been there. They also took money for something they specifically told us was okay multiple times, and we have texts to prove it. When asking for clarification on these issues, they have been very unprofessional and wont answer our emails. They also don't provide lighting for the parking lot, or trash removal, which is stated in the contract, but I feel should be added given that they're normal tasks that go with hosting events. Again, our wedding was beautiful, but the farm needs some improvements with regards to what they offer for the price they charge.Sent on 08/28/2018
