Hi! I'm Jen Turriff, and I'm the owner of The Local Petaler, a wedding and event floral design company located in Saint Charles, Illinois. The business is just about to turn 3 years old, but it was only until recently that I've made it my full time career. (Stay tuned for a new workshop location in downtown St. Charles!)
When I don't have a wedding of my own booked, you can usually find me freelancing in the city for the "big guns" floral companies. I've had the pleasure of working with Flowers for Dreams, Life in Bloom, and Avant Gardenia, and I'm fortunate to have learned so much from them (and glean all of their insider tips and tricks!)!
Now I can confidently say, from small scale, simple barn weddings in the country, to extravagant ballrooms in the city, The Local Petaler does it all!

To get started, send me an email! I can be reached directly at hello@thelocalpetaler.com. Once we connect, I'll send you a breif questionnaire to get to know a little more about you, the wedding, and what you're looking for in terms of floral. Then I can get to designing, pulling reference pictures, checking pricing, etc., and I can put together an official proposal. Sometimes meeting up helps too, so we can go over all of the options and details.
I know wedding planning can be daunting, and it's not like you do this every day! Luckily... I do! I'm happy to guide you through the process, make suggestions and recommendations (I have a ton of favorite vendors that I've worked with and I will happily refer you to any and all!), and work with you and your budget.

Jen and The Local Petaler: Floral Visionary
Jen is incredible and if you're debating on using her, I'm here to tell you to stop and do it because booking her was one of the best decisions I made with my wedding. Jen goes above and beyond all the basics you want in a florist; prompt communication, transparent pricing, flexible with your budget, friendly, professional, etc. But she is absolutely out of this world when it comes to making your floral dreams (whatever they may be) come true. I had an idea of some basic designs I wanted and Jen took that and elevated it with my fiance and I's style in mind as well as the overall feel of the venue. The results? STUNNING. People keep talking about the flowers. When does that ever happen after a wedding? Honestly, no words in this review can do her work justice. She is absolutely incredible at what she does and on top of it, an all around great person. Book the Local Petaler and you won't be disappointed!

Simple and sweet
Our wedding was very small and intimate, and the flowers turned out absolutely beautiful. I had a garland piece for the table, my bouquet, his boutonniere, and a couple bundles of flowers to go around. I would definitely recommend Jen, she took exactly what I had in mind and made it happen.

Jen is so amazing and so talented!
Having Jen as our florist for our wedding was the easiest experience I could have ever asked for. She made sure to keep out budget in mind while suggesting beautiful pieces that I never would have even thought of! From our bouquets to our floral combs to our dog wreaths (I know) to the arch piece that went behind us at our head table, everything was so specifically "our taste" and minimal and beautiful. We highly recommend her!
