Jen made our wedding more beautiful than we had ever imagined. She gave us a good feeling from the start because of how passionate she is about her business. She was very communicative and upfront with us about costs (no surprise fees) as well as with what was doable or not in our price range. We never got the feeling that she was trying to upsell us on anything which was a huge relief because that can happen often in the industry. She listened to what we were envisioning and gave her input in a constructive manner (some of our favorite parts of the florals were Jen's ideas), and she also was honest with telling us if something was outdated or wouldn't fit with our aesthetic which we appreciated because we aren't experts on florals! She gave us the great idea to repurpose the bridesmaid bouquets for the reception centerpieces, which was the best decision we made because it was more practical and friendly for our budget. Overall, if you're looking for a small business owner to brighten your day, look no further than Jen because she will put her all into making your wedding or event beautiful. -

The Local Petaler can truly make your wedding florals vision come to life. I was eager to hire Jen when I saw the heartfelt mission on her website about making beautiful florals in her grandmother's honor. Like many brides, I had a very clear vision for the type of flowers I wanted, but I saw very few examples online of that vision perfectly executed. I worked with Jen over the course of several months and she patiently heard me out about my vision and did everything to execute it to perfection-which she certainly did. Even up until days before the wedding, Jen made a last minute switch to some of the flowers she had initially included in our centerpieces and they ultimately came out fabulously and exactly how I'd always envisioned them. And if that's not wonderful enough, Jen's "Petaler Pick-Me-Up" program allows for your beautiful blooms to be repurposed and gifted to the community the day after your wedding so that the greater community can share in having a little piece of your special day. Jen is patient, hardworking, diligent, and has an eye for executing the vision of the couple. We can't say enough about The Local Petaler! -

Amazing Experience
Not only was Jen the florist for my best friends wedding but also my wedding. After my initial email and meeting with Jen I knew I was going to go with her for my flowers. I wanted there to be lots of flowers and a big arch display. Let me tell you… She delivered! I got so many compliments on the floral at the wedding! She was very flexible with any changes I asked for, very kind, and very helpful. When filling out the form in the beginning and going through everything during our zoom meeting was so helpful! I couldn’t recommend The Local Petaler more!! She did an amazing job and I couldn’t have been happier! -

Jen was great to work with, super helpful in all of the planning process and presented a great proposal so we could envision our day. Amazing Experience!
Jen was a dream to work with! As someone who originally didn't care as much about flowers as others, I quickly found that the florals at our August wedding in Chicago became one of our absolute favorite touches of the day. Jen was responsive, patient and was key to translating our rough ideas to a gorgeous finished product. She was warm and understanding of where we wanted to land budget-wise and provided multiple suggestions on how we could reuse different pieces to make the most impact in our space. Additionally her attention to detail was amazing from bouquets to table settings to our ceremony space. We really could not recommend Jen enough for your event! -

I found Jen at the Local Petaler from a friend's wedding but fell in love with her style of communication, collaboration, and of course - her florals! I really wanted whimsical and romantic with pops of vibrant colors offset with natural greenery and she absolutely delivered! Her floral selection was unique - types of peonies and roses I had never seen before, and her execution was flawless in the bouquet arrangement and altar design. I was absolutely speechless when my bouquet was delivered while getting ready - I think I shed a few tears! On top of that, Jen is a wonderful human and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her along the wedding planning journey. -

The Local Petaler is the BEST of the BEST when it comes to wedding florals!
Can't recommend Jen and The Local Petaler enough! Her work is absolutely incredible, but on top of that, she is so great to work with. She really personalized the entire experience for us. A few things that I loved about Jen: 1) She came prepared to our initial consult with great ideas based on my pinterest pages. She had clearly done her homework before we even hired her! 2) She was patient with me when I changed my mind multiple times during the planning process (even down to the last minute). 3) She worked with my budget and found creative ways to reuse bouquets and other floral pieces in a way that looked beautiful and purposeful and not cheesy. 4) Jen and I both lost beloved dogs recently and so we happened to bond over this during the year of planning. On my wedding day she surprised me with a memory tag that was attached to my bouquet and had a picture of my dog that had passed away. It was the most special and thoughtful gesture. 5) When I saw the final wedding day florals I gasped. It was better than anything I could have imagined. Everyone was talking about how gorgeous everything was and our guests couldn't stop taking photos of themselves in front of her beautiful work. 6) She came up with a super cool and creative hanging floral piece for the ceremony (and later reception) and it was like nothing I have ever seen before. I am sure it wasn't easy to create from a mechanical perspective, but she somehow did it. 7) She has great taste. I trusted her esthetic completely.
YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG BY HIRING JEN AND THE LOCAL PETALER TEAM! She is the total package of wedding florists!!! -

Talented and easy to work with
Jen is definitely someone you want on your wedding dream team! She is incredibly down to earth and so kind, and she absolutely nailed our vision and then some! Jen had great suggestions and made everything happen for us within our budget even when we had to make some last minute changes. All of her work was stunning and we received compliments on our florals throughout the entire wedding. I don’t plan on ever having another wedding, but I’ll definitely reach out to Jen if I need florals for another event!! -

My husband and I hired The Local Petaler for our August 2022 wedding at The Brix. Jen was an absolute DREAM to work with! She helped SO much from the beginning - even before officially hiring her when we were very overwhelmed with figuring out what we needed. When we met with her initially she showed us her inspiration for our wedding, it was so visual and she really made the inspiration come to life for us on our wedding day! Jen is very personable, organized, and easy to work with! I wish I had made a plan to preserve my bouquet - it was breathtakingly beautiful!

I don’t think enough words can ever say how amazing Jen is at what she does. I’ve known Jen since high school and followed her at the start of her career. I always knew I wanted my big day florals to be done by her but I was blown away by her craft. She is extremely responsive, resourceful and creative in her designs. I gave her a color pallet and a few must haves and she blew it out of the water. It has taken me over a year to write this review for which I regret but I am amazed at the work she not only did on our big day, but all the others that have since followed. You truly do not want to pass her up -

Please Book Her!!! She is AMAZING
Absolutely AMAZING, Jen was truly a dream to work with!! My husband and I booked The Local Petaler for our wedding day and it was the best decision we made. We had no idea where to even begin in terms of needs, floral budgets, and set up all we knew was a vison. She answered every single question I had and was willing to meet in person to discuss our wedding day. Her communication with us absolutely calmed my nerves, I knew my wedding vison was in great hands with her. I had most our accessories for our wedding day and she was nice enough to come over to our house and view what we had so we can plan correctly. She was AMAZING!! She seriously took our wedding vison/dream and turned into a reality. She did all of our set up for florals and candles. Without Jen our wedding vison wouldn't have came to life. If I could give more than 5 stars I would, please do me a favor and book her now. We love you Jen!!! -

Jen from the Local Petaler blew us away! I read a lot of great reviews about her, and while they are many talented florists out the like Jen, it came down to her personality, hard work, flexibility, and transparency. When I saw my bouquet the morning of my wedding, I was in awe. They were better than I could have imagined, and smelled amazing. Her arch, the centerpieces, the candles, everything was beautiful. Although we didn't get to interact much with her assistant Pam, we watched her work very hard and they make a great team. Recommend The Local Petaler to everyone!! -

Jen is amazing and so talented!! Due to COVID we had to cancel our original out of state plans and completely re-plan our wedding (including finding new vendors) for a small, local wedding. I was able to show Jen a few inspiration photos and give her a brief description of our vision and she ran with it. When we walked into our venue on our wedding day, I was blown away. Jen's florals were basically the only decorations we had and were all we needed! She took my vision and brought it to life plus some! The flowers looked beautiful, airy, and organic and also smelled so good! Jen is not only extremely talented but the things she does for the community are so great. Jen was referred to us from a friend who was also working with her and we were SO happy with our entire experience. After our initial meeting with Jen (before signing any contract), my husband and I both immediately agreed that we had found the perfect florist to work with for our wedding. Jen is extremely down to earth and genuinely had our best interest in mind during every stage of the process. As a lot of couples did, we ended up having to cancel our large wedding and opt for an immediate-family-only backyard wedding due to Covid-19. Jen could not have handled the situation in a more caring and thoughtful way. Making a change in plans meant that we also adjusted our budget, floral theme.. pretty much everything. Jen was extremely flexible and understanding with everything. After many back-and-forth in the decision making process, Jen finally told me to "trust her that she would make everything look beautiful." From that moment I didn't stress about a single thing and let Jen take control of the rest of the process (which was amazing). In terms of the finished product, I could not have dreamed up anything better. All of the florals were stunning and there was not a detail that was missed. We received SO many compliments on the flowers and, six months later, I still feel so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with Jen. If you are looking for a genuinely caring person who will work within your budget without sacrificing quality, look no further! -

My florist bailed less than 2 months before my wedding (LOL 2020) so in a furry I reached out to 10+ florists to see if they were available our date and if they could swing the tight timeline based on what we needed. Some people responded right away with generic proposals, others said they’d get it to me within a few days, but how Jen responded immediately put her above the rest.
She took the information, pictures and Pinterest boards I sent everyone else but asked a few more questions to ensure she was understanding my vision which I SO appreciated. It immediately put me at ease. She was able to facetime with my mom and I, talk through our ideas and I had her booked before some others even responded. I immediately knew she was the one, and she was even beyond my expectations. I am OBSESSED with how my flowers looked. She was so creative in finding ways to save us money (like reusing the arch way- which was next level beautiful for centerpiece) and added in pops of texture so even if the color palate was simple, every single floral design was its own masterpiece.
My mom and I said its like it was meant to be for my first florist to fall through so we were able to use the Local Petaler. I feel so incredibly lucky and I couldn’t recommend Jen more! -

We were so lucky to have found Jen. She was recommended to us by Two Wild Seeds (who did our wedding cake). From the moment we met I knew we had found our florist. She listened to what we envisioned for our wedding and made it a reality. Our wedding had a subtle literature and coffee theme and she suggested cappuccino roses! She knew what we had in mind right away! (We had a hard time with another florist who kept pushing her ideas on what she thought we should have.) She kept in touch the weeks leading up to the wedding and we had the flexibility to add or change things as we wanted. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful!

Jen, the god send :)
As a woman who never spent any time imagining her wedding, I was absolutely useless in regards to anything involving wedding planning. Thankfully, I found Jen. I told her I liked bright colors and simplicity, and she figured out the rest. She worked well in my budget, was a super sweetheart, and saved the day on my wedding day by making me a lovely hairpiece (as the pin from my grandmother got lost). I've been to other weddings she has done, and while I loved the simple designs that she gave me (as they were right up my alley!), I also adored the more ornate and elaborate designs that she did for other brides, as they were truly artful. Jen is a keeper :) -

As we were looking through the myriad floral vendors, seeing Jen's work stopped me in my tracks. I could tell she had something very special and unique. As I live out of state, I couldn't wait to meet the woman behind the art so I had her secure my daughter's date, cancelling another floral consultation. I also loved the idea that she wasn't a large firm and I could work directly with her.
As I sat with Jen, I appreciated her calm demeanor and listening skills. I had many "inspiration photos" and she had a very can-do attitude, while keeping our budget in mind. I was still uncertain as to what my daughter's wedding style was and was blown away when Jen was the person to nail it.
I appreciated Jen's follow-up and never had to chase her down. She wasn't afraid to use the phone and have a real conversation, however lengthy. Her emails were incredibly detailed, often including photos ideas.
When the bouquets arrived, they were beyond our imagination. Jen had allowed me the joy of collaboration and my daughter and I wanted to incorporate orange ranunculus in an otherwise subdued palette. Jen knew exactly what to do and within budget. She also didn't cringe when just a few weeks before the wedding, we opted to add a very large floral above a boxwood wall (yes, I was the one to go beyond budget!).
Working with Jen was the most FUN I had during the arduous process of wedding planning, inspiring confidence at every turn. She is both a joy and a mega-talent. -

Amazing! Book her, you won't regret it
I can't say enough how thankful I am for everything Jen did for my wedding. I was honestly BLOWN AWAY. From beginning to end, I was VERY happy with her services. She was quick to respond to all my emails, was flexible with my payment plan (she even made suggestions on how I could save money because I was on a pretty tight budget), was understanding when I changed my mind a million times throughout the planning process, and most importantly did such an amazing job on our flowers.
I was living out of state while planning our wedding, so the entire process was extra difficult. When I chose the venue for our reception I have to admit, I wasn't very excited about it. The room was under a restaurant, kind of dark, and not really my style. I didn't really know what to expect with our decor/flowers, but when I walked into our reception the night of our wedding I wanted to cry (happy tears)...
Jen completely transformed our reception and made it look unbelievable. The cake, card table, each centerpiece and our head table were all beautiful and beyond anything I ever could’ve imagined. She even went the extra mile and placed a little piece of greenery on each of the place settings, which was something we never talked about, but looked so pretty and like it could’ve been straight out of Pintrest. I was actually proud of our venue, and never thought in a million years I'd feel that way.
Nothing I say will be able to convey how grateful I am for everything she did, but I would 100% recommend her to anyone. If you aren’t sure, BOOK HER. You won’t regret it. -

Having Jen as our florist for our wedding was the easiest experience I could have ever asked for. She made sure to keep out budget in mind while suggesting beautiful pieces that I never would have even thought of! From our bouquets to our floral combs to our dog wreaths (I know) to the arch piece that went behind us at our head table, everything was so specifically "our taste" and minimal and beautiful. Simple and sweet

Jen and The Local Petaler: Floral Visionary
Jen is incredible and if you're debating on using her, I'm here to tell you to stop and do it because booking her was one of the best decisions I made with my wedding. Jen goes above and beyond all the basics you want in a florist; prompt communication, transparent pricing, flexible with your budget, friendly, professional, etc. But she is absolutely out of this world when it comes to making your floral dreams (whatever they may be) come true. I had an idea of some basic designs I wanted and Jen took that and elevated it with my fiance and I's style in mind as well as the overall feel of the venue. The results? STUNNING. People keep talking about the flowers. When does that ever happen after a wedding? Honestly, no words in this review can do her work justice. She is absolutely incredible at what she does and on top of it, an all around great person. Book the Local Petaler and you won't be disappointed! -

Jen goes above and beyond.
After showing Jen a few inspiration pictures, I felt like she understand my floral style completely. I absolutely loved my loose, rustic-inspired bridal bouquet!
I also appreciate how flexible Jen was during the wedding planning process and wedding day. From being available for a quick meet-up to look at centerpiece urns to sizing pictures for lockets on my bridal bouquet to making sure each of the guest tables and side tables at our venue looked "Instagram-worthy," Jen went above and beyond.
Wedding planning is stressful and picking flowers can feel overwhelming. Not with Jen. She helped our autumn foliage dreams come to life with minimal stress.

Easiest wedding decision...great price and great value
Making decisions for the wedding was sometimes challenging, especially being on a budget, but Jen at the local petaler made our decision for who to go with for our wedding flowers easy! We got quotes from three different floral companies, and for the same order, Jen was by far the most reasonably priced and the quality of the flowers and centerpieces were amazing. In my opinion, look no further than the local petaler!!! -

Best Experience as a Bride!
Jennifer is amazing! From ensuring my vision was a reality to meeting me countless times, Jennifer was a pleasure to work with. Jennifer thought of the details I would’ve never thought of and the process was so smooth.
Jennifer met with me several times, including meeting me to look at flowers in-person to ensure my budget and style were taken care of. Jennifer was easy to get ahold of, I was very impressed with her response times and level of granularity. She made flowers a breeze for our big day.
From classic to unique, simple to lavish, I would recommend Jennifer for any wedding or event! -

Amazing!! Made my dream wedding!!
Jen, with The Local Petaler, did an amazing job with the florals for my wedding! She was attentive to all of my requests throughout the entire process and even insisted on meeting with me in person to initially discuss the details for my event. She informed me of what was in season to help me stay within budget and even took a last minute request to include additional boutonnieres. The day of my wedding rained sooo terribly bad, I was devastated thinking my outdoor wedding ceremony just wouldn't be the same indoors. She made my dream vision come true on the trellis that was used inside. Last minute, the rained cleared and I decided to move my ceremony back outside like I had always dreamed. Jen had already completed her work and had left for the day. I had called to ask if she'd return and move her work to the outside trellis. She didn't hesitate to help and moved all of the floral arrangements outdoors. She didn't sound bothered or inconvenienced; rather, elated that my dream of an outdoor ceremony was coming true!! I cannot say enough good things. I will be using her for future events. She did a fabulous job! Thanks Jen -

Perfect Florist for a Perfect Day
We came to The Local Petaler after we we're recommended by our photographer. After an initial meeting with Jen we were sure she was the right choice. She was very open to us from the beginning, and brought my wife's vision to life at our wedding. At the intitial meeting, we came with ideas on what "look" we were going for and Jen gave us examples of how to accomplish it within our budget and what was in season during our wedding. Her knowledge of the flowers, market and techniques was very reassuring. Whenever we had a change in our original plan she was quick to respond and offer additional guidance.
Not only was she awesome to work with, she went above and beyond on our wedding day. She drove over 3 hours on Memorial Day weekend, and even brought extra flowers and accents beyond what we paid for. She helped with set up on an unusually hot May day and even offered some design tips/advice for other parts of the wedding. I would recommend The Local Petaler and Jen to anyone looking for a wedding florist. -
