The Jefferson Theater

The Jefferson Theater is a unique wedding venue located in the historic Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, Virginia. Established in 1912, it was originally a live performance theater showing silent movies, vaudeville acts, and famous performers including Harry Houdini and the Three Stooges. After a comprehensive restoration that maintained its period architecture while adding modern facilities, it was reopened in 2009. Now featuring two full-service bars, a restored balcony, and new restrooms and central heating systems, it makes a charming and distinctive wedding location.
