We are so happy that we chose the Guild for our wedding day!! It was the perfect venue for us and a truly memorable and unique location that our guests are still raving about. We set out to find a venue that was stylish and unique in San Diego. While we didn't initially picture a hotel for our big day, once we found the Guild, we fell immediately in love.

The Guild's event coordinator - Helene - was a ROCKSTAR throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. She responded to every single email request within 24 hours with a clear and helpful answer. On the day of the wedding, she ran a smooth operation in partnership with our outside coordinator and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Maybe most importantly, she was a joy to work with throughout the process and we're glad to have gotten to know her.

The Grace Ballroom is very unique among hotel ballrooms and one of the primary reasons we chose the Guild. It has a unique style with wood floors and whitewashed brick that stands out from typical hotel ballrooms. The entire property - lobby, bar, courtyards, rooms - are beautiful and photographed incredibly well.

Another highlight is that the food is elevated above traditional hotel wedding catering. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the dinner. The desserts were AMAZING and made our personal choice to skip a wedding cake totally worth it.

One of the few downsides was that the Guild doesn't have much of an inventory of in-house dinnerware, seats, etc. so we did need to bring in a few outside rentals. Definitely not a dealbreaker for us by any means but just something to factor into budgets and to keep in mind while comparing with other hotels.

We would absolutely choose the Guild again and highly recommend it!!

The guild helped us put on an amazing wedding. The courtyard patio was the perfect place for the ceremony, and we had a lot of flexibility in planning the wedding we wanted. Food was outstanding.
