The Farmhouse is a stunning wedding venue located on over ten acres of lush, manicured gardens and towering trees in Hunterdon County, NJ. This beautiful 330-year-old historic country estate blends modern comforts and rustic charm, creating an enchanting atmosphere for your perfect day.
The Farmhouse's design tastefully balances the property's rich past with modern enhancements while maintaining its authenticity and charm. The centuries-old pastoral elements are on display in our ballroom, which features exposed beams, reclaimed barn wood, vintage fixtures, and soaring ceilings. The current design aesthetic is showcased with contemporary art and crystal chandeliers.
Our newest event space, The Silo, is a refined craftsman-style countryside barn featuring exposed wood beams, timeless decor, wood burning fireplace, and a mezzanine perfect for your wedding entrance.

Facilities and Capacity
Boasting elegance around every corner, The Farmhouse isn't your everyday wedding venue. The facility's grand ballroom is out of a dream with an enchanting ceiling, a vintage chandelier, and grey wood floors. The area also consists of exposed stone, a great backdrop for your head table. This ballroom can accommodate up to 265 guests for your wedding ceremony or reception. If you desire a ceremony straight from a fairytale, you can step into the garden and say "I do". The natural space features blossoming blooms and a romantic white gazebo for your vow exchange. This property also provides ample room for your guests to enjoy a cocktail hour, while you and your partner may take photographs across the estate.
Services Offered
The Farmhouse is prepared for every wedding event, including your arrival. The estate's team will be delighted to provide a bridal suite that's both private and luxurious. In addition, the team offers necessary items for your big day, including chairs, tables, linens, glassware, and more. Once your celebration begins, these professionals will also be on hand to serve a variety of beverages, from wine to premium liquor. At the end of your wedding day, you may leave the venue as is as their event team will happily clean each space for you. Amazing Venue!
They paid attention to detail and were always available to put our minds at ease.
We also rented the bridal suite and groom’s suite. Both suites were spacious, filled with entertainment, and included private bathrooms and mini fridges. There was plenty of space for my hair and makeup team.. We all had a wonderful time getting ready for the wedding.
The food and chef were absolutely incredible. We were able to completely customize the menu by adding things like garlic mashed potatoes and chicken francese. What really stood out is that it felt like we were giving our guests a high end restaurant meal, rather than cookie cutter wedding food.

As a bride, I thoroughly enjoyed working with the event planning team and day-of staff. Gina and Liz were an absolute pleasure working with. They were so helpful in answering my questions, giving advice, and making sure the day was a success. My bridal attendants were fabulous too. Myrna made sure everyone got what they needed in the morning, that everyone was fed, and that the mimosas were flowing. Lorraine was a godsend for the afternoon. She was by my side throughout photos, cocktail hour, and the reception and helped wherever she was needed. I need a Lorraine in my day-to-day life. Finally, Monique was amazing and went out of her way to make sure everyone got what they needed. She also took special care of my grandmother and made sure she got a drink when she needed one and tried every cocktail hour dish.
All in all, the Farmhouse was the perfect place to get married. Several of our guests said that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to as the food, the staff, and venue were fantastic. I would choose the Farmhouse over and over again.
Our experience was amazing. The day could not have gone better.

Wonderful Venue!
As for the staff, everyone was friendly and willing to help! They all went above and beyond to make our day perfect! I have a disease where my hands turn blue if I get cold. One of the waiters got me a hot cup to keep my hands warm in between photos. My bridal attendant Laura was like a second mom that day. She was so attentive and made sure my bridal party was taken care of. She was wonderful to work with! Sam, our Matre d’, was so on top of everything. She made sure everyone was on time and kept our wedding running so smoothly!
Overall, the Farmhouse made our day beyond perfect! I am so happy we booked with them and would highly recommend!

What a great venue to work at and have a celebration at! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They are constantly adding new things around the facility to enhance the event spaces. We love working here and recommend them 100%
We have had the extreme pleasure of doing countless weddings at the Farmhouse since we started Thistle Bee The Florist. I could write a million positive things about this venue, but I'll highlight some of our favorites. The venue itself is breathtaking. The ballroom is all newly renovated and allows for us to transform the space to highlight each bride's unique vision for their special day. The grounds are always meticulously maintaining and the landscaping (and flowers) are some of my favorite things to appreciate when we're setting up the gazebo. The event and wait staff are so great to work with. They are attentive to the couples and work as a team with us to make sure all aspects of the client's day is executed to perfection. Between our team and theirs, our couples know they have nothing to worry about. The Farmhouse at the Grand Colonial is a phenomenal venue to make your wedding the picturesque and seamless day that you dream of!
Absolutely beautiful venue and the staff does a top notch job! You will not be disappointed!
