DJ Mario is the absolute best DJ! We had talked to an exhaustive list of DJs to DJ our wedding, but we knew we wanted DJ Mario as soon as we got off a video call with him. He was super personable and very easy to talk to! Just an awesome person in general. During the wedding, he kept the party going all night! As many other reviews have stated, we had so many guests come up to us and say how amazing and spectacular he was! We had a pretty large group of shy guests, but he had them ALL up and dancing the whole night! He even got on the dance floor and gave the guests a tutorial on some of the line dances! Everything from the lights, photobooth, music, planning and setup exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have picked a better DJ for our wedding!

Mario worked hard to make our wedding day special! It was a pleasure to have Mario be our DJ and emcee at our wedding. He was fun to work with and helped make our day unforgettable, and he has an INCREDIBLE voice! In our prep call, he worked with us to understand our wedding day style and how to manage the flow of events perfectly. He was so organized and answered all of our questions from a distance. We always felt confident knowing that he was handling the show. After the wedding, we received several compliments from our guests that he was the best DJ they have experienced, from former DJs and music people! They said, "he was overall great, with a great personality, looks, voice, and guest interaction (like giving dance lessons to the guests!)." Our guests have said that it's one of the best weddings they've been to, in large part to Mario kicking up his heels and joining in the fun! DC DJs knows how to make a Bride & Groom feel special. The DC DJs did a tremendous job at our wedding this past summer. I am a wedding photographer myself, so suffice it to say I have been to a lot of weddings. It might sound a little harsh, but I've never really cared about the DJ. I was never impressed...to me, they were always kind of in the background...a person that stands there and plays the music. This was until I attended a wedding the DC DJs were working. I was absolutely BLOWN away by the energy Mario brought, the transitions of the music, the clean aesthetic of all of his equipment that really blended into the background and wasn't an eyesore like most DJ equipment is. I emailed him the next day and hired him for my own wedding. I proceeded to spend the next few months hyping up how AMAZING Mario was going to be at our wedding to my now husband...so much so that my husband made me worried I had over-hyped because of how frequently I mentioned how awesome Mario was going to be.

We just had our wedding a little less than a week ago and let me just say...not only did Mario live up to the hype, he far exceeded it. Mario and his assistant were absolutely incredible. They kept the dance floor so lively, the energy in the room was literally electric - I can't even describe it. Every song, Mario and his assistant were dancing/keeping the room hyped...the transitions they did from song to song were so fun...it was a literal dream. Everything was amazing. Oh - one of the funniest/best parts - I had gone up to the bridal suite to change into my sparkler exit dress and I got so excited by a song Mario played, I came out to the balcony overlooking the reception and started dancing...like 5 seconds later, Mario had shined a spotlight on me and it was genuinely one of the most hilarious/best moments. He does not miss a beat (no pun intended lol). My husband was also blown away and we received so many compliments on how awesome they were! I seriously cannot recommend them enough. Hiring the DCDJs was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Mario was one of our first vendors chosen for our October 2022 wedding. And by far, the best person we had on our special day. Mario incapsulated everything we had envisioned and more. We couldn’t imagine such a special day without him doing everything and more to make sure we could focus on each other . Mario was our wedding DJ, and we cannot recommend him and the DC DJs enough! From the beginning, he was so helpful and easy to get a hold of whenever we had questions. He played great music during the reception and kept the dance floor packed all night. We've had several guests mention how good the music was and later, when talking about the wedding, how FUN it was! We owe a lot of that fantastic feedback to DJ Mario. He was also a great MC; the events flowed smoothly; he orchestrated a soul train line for us, a request I made the night of, and our guests loved it. We couldn't have been happier with our DJ choice; you won't regret booking with the DC DJs.

Where to begin, to start let’s just say we got married September 10 and three months later we still have guests reaching out asking about our DJ. Everyone we have spoken with after the wedding tells us how beautiful the day was, but quickly shifts the conversation to the reception and how the amazing DJ had the party rolling literally the whole night.
We could not be more grateful. Mario and his team are a professional, tech savvy, fully equipped team that knows how to throw a party. No one wanted the night to end!
From the beginning of our planning process, Mario was impressive. Very professional, with top of the line technology made us realize he knew exactly what he was doing and how to execute every little detail. We went with the full lighting, special effects, and photo booth package and it was perfection. Mario met us for a walkthrough at our venue to help facilitate layout and lighting design, from that point forward, there was not one moment during our planning process that we seconded guessed or questioned anything related to Mario - it was completely stress free and that is exactly what you need when planning a major event.

Our experience with Mario was perfect from start to finish. We started by interviewing a lot of different DJs but Mario stood out the most to us. We spoke on the phone about how we were looking for a certain vibe. We needed a DJ who could bring the life to our party, keep our people going(a 7hr reception) and most importantly be able to tell when a song was just not doing it for everyone and to fade into a new one. Mario completely agreed and addressed our concerns and on the day of, executed with such amazing grace and precision. When we met in person for the first time, he was so kind and efficient in asking all the right questions, offering suggestions and listening to our wants and needs. As the night went on, our guests got more drunk and less coordinated. When one of our guests requested the Cuban shuffle and no one could get it together, Mario pauses the song, made a little joke, then proceeded to restart the song and get into the crowd with us to dance— IT WAS AWESOME! He also worked incredibly well with our other vendors and provided song mixes and excellent customer service! WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE USING HIM IN THE NEAR FUTURE! Best DJ ever! Love the Holdaways
