Where do we even start with Maddy! She is so fantastic, as a human and as a photographer. From our first phone conversation when we were considering photographers for our May 2024 wedding, we knew that she would be a great fit for our style, our personalities, and what we were looking for in terms of a connection and comfort with our photographer. We saw this come to life during our engagement shoot and we were so happy with how that gallery came out, capturing our joy and our true selves in beautiful, bright, and fresh photos. Working with her on all the coordinating in between was a joy and so easy, given her responsiveness and expertise on the wedding industry in the DC area -- she even offered great vendor recommendations and sent us to our florist and honeymoon travel agent! On the day-of, she and her assistant Bridgette captured every moment so beautifully and thoughtfully, including all the small special details she had asked us about to ensure that we got everything we were looking for. They made us feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful, and I can’t wait to plaster their gorgeous photos all over our home and the Internet for years to come. Our wedding wasn’t even that long ago and we haven’t even received our full gallery from Maddy yet, but I am able to write this full-throated recommendation of her given how thrilled we are with everything from the process of working with her to engagement shoot to our wedding sneak peeks (which is more like 100 or so photos that we received within days!). I’ll miss talking to Maddy all the time and you should absolutely hire her!

Maddy's wedding photography immediately caught our attention with her stunning use of lighting and colors, and her ability to capture couples so beautifully. Throughout our planning process, Maddy was extremely professional and prompt, always providing everything we needed. Maddy's organization and dedication were evident as she accompanied us on our venue walkthrough (on her own time) to learn more about the intricacies of our traditional Bengali / Indian wedding. She was also incredibly easy to work with and patient for our engagement photo session on a cold day as we were traveling from out of state. She picked the perfect spots for our pictures. On our wedding day, she and her assistant Keri were super flexible due to changes from the rain. Maddy's quick turnaround with sneak peeks after the wedding were impressive. The photos are absolutely beautiful, capturing us and the vibrancy of the day perfectly. We can’t stop looking at them and we are so excited to see the full set of photos! I cannot say enough great things about working with Maddy. More than half of the wedding day is spent with one person by your side at all times, your photographer. Maddy’s calm but enthusiastic energy, as well as her constant advice and support made the entire day feel under control and easy. Her talent with the camera is complimented by her clear and constant direction for poses and actions that created the best shots possible. She is easy to be around and helped us both feel comfortable in front of the camera. She worked with us to create the perfect photo album and has given us an incredible gallery to look back on forever.

Pro tip: Maddy suggests a session together in the run up to the wedding and we recommend you take it. It helped build a good relationship in advance and get comfortable in front of the camera so we didn’t need to worry about it on the wedding day.
