Maddy was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding photography needs. From day one, Maddy was incredibly responsive, organized, and professional. She provided invaluable guidance on timelines and vendor recommendations that perfectly aligned with what we were looking for. During our engagement session, Maddy immediately made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and even stayed longer than planned to capture the best light. On our wedding day, Maddy expertly navigated timeline modifications so we still got all the photos we wanted. We had a lengthy list of family and detail shots that were important to us, and Maddy made sure each item was captured beautifully.
We couldn't be more thrilled with our engagement and wedding photos. The beauty of Maddy's art speaks for itself - she has a real knack for capturing light, color, and raw emotion. This, plus her professionalism, preparedness, and responsiveness set Maddy apart as an incredible photographer to work with throughout the entire wedding planning journey. Maddy was a dream to work with, she is so talented, and a true artist behind the camera! She was so thorough and organized to ensure we got all the shots we wanted, and she worked quickly so that we could still enjoy our wedding!
She was so thorough before the wedding, scoping out our venue in advance and attending the walk throughs. She was on top of the various photo areas and had great ideas as far as backdrops and posing. She is a great communicator and helped everyone from the kids to the grandparents pose and look their best in the photos!
She got our sneak peek back to us in just two days and they are all so amazing! I cannot wait to see the rest. I am so happy I hired Maddy and would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding! -

The best choice you can make!
Where do we even start with Maddy! She is so fantastic, as a human and as a photographer. From our first phone conversation when we were considering photographers for our May 2024 wedding, we knew that she would be a great fit for our style, our personalities, and what we were looking for in terms of a connection and comfort with our photographer. We saw this come to life during our engagement shoot and we were so happy with how that gallery came out, capturing our joy and our true selves in beautiful, bright, and fresh photos. Working with her on all the coordinating in between was a joy and so easy, given her responsiveness and expertise on the wedding industry in the DC area -- she even offered great vendor recommendations and sent us to our florist and honeymoon travel agent! On the day-of, she and her assistant Bridgette captured every moment so beautifully and thoughtfully, including all the small special details she had asked us about to ensure that we got everything we were looking for. They made us feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful, and I can’t wait to plaster their gorgeous photos all over our home and the Internet for years to come. Our wedding wasn’t even that long ago and we haven’t even received our full gallery from Maddy yet, but I am able to write this full-throated recommendation of her given how thrilled we are with everything from the process of working with her to engagement shoot to our wedding sneak peeks (which is more like 100 or so photos that we received within days!). I’ll miss talking to Maddy all the time and you should absolutely hire her! -

Best wedding photographer!
More than half of the wedding day is spent with one person by your side at all times, your photographer. Maddy’s calm but enthusiastic energy, as well as her constant advice and support made the entire day feel under control and easy. Her talent with the camera is complimented by her clear and constant direction for poses and actions that created the best shots possible. She is easy to be around and helped us both feel comfortable in front of the camera. She worked with us to create the perfect photo album and has given us an incredible gallery to look back on forever.
Pro tip: Maddy suggests a session together in the run up to the wedding and we recommend you take it. It helped build a good relationship in advance and get comfortable in front of the camera so we didn’t need to worry about it on the wedding day. -

Personable, Helpful, Went Above and Beyond!
Maddy was a jewel. She made me feel so comfortable and so confident in how everything would turn out. I was not nervous at all. She is professional, and she gave me a lot of advice outside of photography for differnt vendors and services. We did engagement photos with Maddy as well before the wedding, and they not only were beautiful but helped make us feel comfortable with her and how to best take pictures as a couple. I was extremely happy with Maddy. Couldn't have asked for more! -

Before my first chat with Maddy, I had seen examples of her photos and loved how vibrant and dynamic her work was. Then, from the moment I first spoke with her on the phone, I knew she was the perfect choice for our wedding photographer. She is extremely professional and organized, while also being so personable - taking the time to really get to know us, our wedding details, and our photo preferences.
Maddy is super responsive and helpful in her communications. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was incredible in helping us select engagement photo locations, making us feel comfortable taking our engagement photos in preparation for the wedding, planning out the wedding timeline and where photos fit into that, and more. As two people who have never taken professional photos together before, she really put us at ease and made everything feel super natural - and it showed through our genuine happiness in each photo.
We're so glad we found Maddy. She captured so many wonderful photos of us on such an important day (and did I mention that she sent sneak peaks within DAYS which was amazing!). Even after the wedding, she drafted an incredible photo album and worked with us to get exactly the photos and layouts we wanted (though, admittedly, her draft was so great that little change was needed). Our friends and family loved her too and were impressed with how she's able to turn out high-quality work so quickly!
We could not recommend Maddy more highly and hope you choose her to experience her skills for yourself! -

Maddy is so professional and wonderful to work with. Our photos are INCREDIBLE!! And we got our photos back right when she said we would, earlier than friends who got married before us! We worked with her associate photographer Amanda who was INCREDIBLE! She nailed all the shots and direction, worked with my young nieces with grace and patience, and took AMAZING shots! Maddy was an absolute dream to work with as our wedding photographer. Her photos speak for themselves but not only does she have an amazing eye and photography style, she’s just the sweetest person. She always made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera(which means a lot coming from a very awkward soul like myself) and all of our photos turned out absolutely gorgeous! From getting to know her during our engagement shoot, to shooting boudoir photos for a wedding gift to my husband, to planning the timeline for my wedding, to bustling my dress on my wedding day, she was just amazing. We are obsessed with every single photo she has taken for us! I can not tell you how many people have complimented us on our photography and say it looks like something out of a magazine! Working with Maddy was a dream. I knew I wanted real color images for our wedding day. That's exactly what Maddy delivered. We will forever remember our beautiful October wedding day and the amazing colors this fall season offered us. Maddy has a very calming personality which is exactly what this anxious bride needed. I felt comfortable talking to her about my vision and what made me nervous about what could go wrong on our day. She was very understanding and reassuring. Amazing Experience - Stop Searching, Book Maddy for your wedding!!
We had the most amazing experience with Maddy as our wedding photographer. Throughout our entire planning process Maddy was always organized, detailed and prompt with her responses. We got incredible engagement photos done with her for our save the dates and now have our wedding pictures to cherish forever. On our wedding day Maddy was so calm and patient which you don't realize how much you need that until you're on your wedding day :) She also brought a second shooter who was wonderful and such a pleasure to be around.

You can't go wrong with hiring Maddy to capture your important life moments. We hired Maddy to capture our engagement photos. Maddy was informative and responsive from our very first email.
We didn't have a particular location in mind for our photos, and Maddy was so helpful giving us a huge list of gorgeous locations to choose from. She handled the communication with one of the venue we choose, which was a huge task taken off of our hands.
Maddy sent us an engagement session guide with helpful tips to prepare. She was available by text and helped us decided on of outfits when we wanted a professional opinion.
My fiance and I are awkward and not photogenic. Maddy did a wonderful job making us feel at ease and posing us in our photos.
Maddy was super quick on the return of our photos. We can't say enough good things about our experience with her. -

She's amazing!
Maddy was SO accommodating and helpful to me being a bride during a pandemic. We postponed our wedding but decided to still get married that day with our immediate family. Not only was Maddy flexible with the date but also with her small ceremony packages. Our pictures were BEAUTIFUL! She also was very prompt with communication and editing pictures. Would definitely recommend using her! -

Blown away
The photos really speak for themselves but let me tell you about how incredibly kind, easy-going, and creative Maddy is! Our wedding shifted to an elopement with close family given COVID-19 concerns and we weren't sure we'd want any "fixings" that day. We decided it was still our wedding day and we wanted it to be special. Booking Maddy for the elopement ceremony was -- bar none -- our best decision. The photos are so incredibly artful, intimate, and breathtaking. Our jaws dropped when she sent back the pics -- in record time too! Do not hesitate, you've found the right woman for the job. -

The best and sweetest to work with!
Maddy is truly a angel to work with! I looked at other photographs but none were as sweet as Maddy. In the middle of my engagement I moved out of the state and she was still able to work with me on everything through email. When the big day came she was on top of everything and made it so easy for my family and bridal party since it was raining that day, and her photos make it look like it wasn’t raining! Her attention to detail is amazing and she knows how to capture those special moments for you to enjoy and to always remember.

I am so glad that we found and hired Maddy! She was great to work with throughout the entire process. I was worried before I hired her (or anyone) about my late ceremony start time and how in the world we were going to get quality pictures after dark. She was super responsive in sending me plenty of examples and talking through the use of flash with me. After we hired her, she sent us a super helpful magazine-style book to go through what to expect from our engagement session, what to wear, wedding day timelines - basically everything you could need to know. She made us feel so comfortable at our engagement session and returned sneak peak pictures from that to us the same day! For the wedding, she and her second shooter were on time, professional, worked well with my wedding planner, and kept everything running smoothly. She got us sneak peaks (there were like 95 of them) back the day after the wedding! Maddy is truly a rockstar - I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. -

She's driven and has vision, which helped so much with my indecisiveness. My pictures turned out AMAZING and have received SO MANY compliments. She includes engagement sessions in her packages which was helpful to us because we had no idea what we were doing in front of the lens.
