DJ Mario is the absolute best DJ! We had talked to an exhaustive list of DJs to DJ our wedding, but we knew we wanted DJ Mario as soon as we got off a video call with him. He was super personable and very easy to talk to! Just an awesome person in general. During the wedding, he kept the party going all night! As many other reviews have stated, we had so many guests come up to us and say how amazing and spectacular he was! We had a pretty large group of shy guests, but he had them ALL up and dancing the whole night! He even got on the dance floor and gave the guests a tutorial on some of the line dances! Everything from the lights, photobooth, music, planning and setup exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have picked a better DJ for our wedding! -

The Most Fun!
We hired Mario from DC DJs for our wedding and I'm so happy we did! DC DJs' planning process is organized and thorough. When we came up with an idea the week of the wedding to open the dance floor, Mario was open-minded and excited. On the wedding day, he was professional while still being so fun! He handled the ceremony amplification and made sure everyone could be heard over the wind. At the reception, he kept the dance floor packed, played great music and had professional-looking lighting all over the space. My husband said he is a true "pro's pro". If you're getting married in the DMV area, we strongly recommend DC DJs & Mario. -

Mario and his team truly made my wedding one to remember. From our first meeting he completely understood our vision. He included all the genres and eras of music that we requested and kept the party going all night long.
He even incorporated traditional Ethiopian music for my family into his playlist throughout the night.
My bridesmaid's and I did a surprise dance for the groom and Mario cut and edited the song perfectly. I could not have asked for a better experience!
The Photo Booth was a hit, per usual.

Mario is the BEST! Seriously - look no further for a DJ. We got married 6 months ago and we still get compliments from people about how amazing our DJ was. Mario made the planning process so fun and easy. He was such a joy to work with. He was so receptive to our requests for different music throughout the day. During our reception, the dance floor was packed the entire night! Mario’s playlist was AMAZING. We never wanted the night to end! I HIGHLY recommend him!! We would book with him again and again! Absolutely worth every penny. We cannot get over how amazing it was! I want to plan another party just so we can have Mario come and DJ. Book him for your wedding!! -

Mario was one of our first vendors chosen for our October 2022 wedding. And by far, the best person we had on our special day. Mario incapsulated everything we had envisioned and more. We couldn’t imagine such a special day without him doing everything and more to make sure we could focus on each other . We had DJ Alex for our wedding and we were blown away! Alex did an amazing job and had everyone on the dancefloor. I always remember events based on the music and energy level, and Alex definitely brought the party. We still have friends comment on how great our DJ was. The company overall was extremely responsive, their website was very user friendly and everyone was professional. Alex was even up for the challenge of playing a 10 minute mashup of Britany Spears, which was a crowd favorite. Thanks for making our day an unforgettable party! -

DJ Alex from The DC DJ’s was the DJ for our wedding. Alex was simply incredible. He put so much attention and effort into making our day special. Every single element from ceremony to reception was controlled to a tee. He was perfect at mixing genres from dinner to the dance floor and truly kept the dance floor packed from start to finish. We were supposed to have a shuttle do an early run back to the hotel and it never left because no one wanted to leave. Our venue said this was the first time they had ever seen this happen. We contribute this to Alex! If you are getting married and looking for a top notch experience you can do no better than Alex. -

Alex was absolutely amazing to work with! He was very responsive and easy to work with from beginning to end. He reminded us when we were getting close to the deadline for forms to be filled out and totally saved our butts! He was flexible in the way we gave him out preferred music lists and we gave him freedom to play songs that weren’t on those lists and he had ideas for certain entrances and such that made the day absolutely the most special day of our lives. Couldn’t have asked for a smoother experience! -

We absolutely loved working with Mario from the DCDJs! We considered not having a DJ at first and are so glad we decided to hire the DCDJs. Mario was very professional and on top of everything every step of the way. Everything from song choice to day-of setup was taken care of without placing any stress on us. Every guest we’ve spoken with has shared how amazing our DJ was and we’ve already had lots of requests for their information. 10/10 would recommend the DCDJs for any and every DJ need!

Man! Where do I begin?
We are a couple that STRONGLY believes there are two things that can ruin an event, the weather and the DJ: Two things that can be completely out of our control, giving me extreme anxiety. But I should have known I'd be in great hands because no matter how many emails I threw at him, countless questions and concerns, Mario replied so attentively and his tone was so cool and collected. He is a true professional who tailors to YOUR needs and is worth every single penny. As an MC, he kept the energy going while also sticking to the timeline of events. The dance floor was never empty and he has really mastered how to mix a Playlist To give you a journey from start to finish. I gotta say, our entrance to Flosstradamus CoCo will go down in the history books!!
Mario, friend, I hope we get to work together again, and we thank you for the most perfect evening.

Out of this world amazing
I am a wedding photographer myself, so suffice it to say I have been to a lot of weddings. It might sound a little harsh, but I've never really cared about the DJ. I was never impressed...to me, they were always kind of in the background...a person that stands there and plays the music. This was until I attended a wedding the DC DJs were working. I was absolutely BLOWN away by the energy Mario brought, the transitions of the music, the clean aesthetic of all of his equipment that really blended into the background and wasn't an eyesore like most DJ equipment is. I emailed him the next day and hired him for my own wedding. I proceeded to spend the next few months hyping up how AMAZING Mario was going to be at our wedding to my now husband...so much so that my husband made me worried I had over-hyped because of how frequently I mentioned how awesome Mario was going to be.
We just had our wedding a little less than a week ago and let me just say...not only did Mario live up to the hype, he far exceeded it. Mario and his assistant were absolutely incredible. They kept the dance floor so lively, the energy in the room was literally electric - I can't even describe it. Every song, Mario and his assistant were dancing/keeping the room hyped...the transitions they did from song to song were so fun...it was a literal dream. Everything was amazing. Oh - one of the funniest/best parts - I had gone up to the bridal suite to change into my sparkler exit dress and I got so excited by a song Mario played, I came out to the balcony overlooking the reception and started dancing...like 5 seconds later, Mario had shined a spotlight on me and it was genuinely one of the most hilarious/best moments. He does not miss a beat (no pun intended lol). My husband was also blown away and we received so many compliments on how awesome they were! I seriously cannot recommend them enough. Hiring the DCDJs was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! -

The best dj ever!
The search for your wedding DJ is over! Mario from The DC DJs is hands down the best wedding DJ ever and the most kind, responsive, funny, and fun person! Mario was super responsive and had great ideas which helped put our minds at ease. We tasked Mario with creating a playlist ranging from 80s rock to 2000s hip hop to EDM, along with an elaborate dance/event from Polish wedding tradition! The dance floor was constantly packed and everyone raved about how good he was! He truly made the night for my wife and me! Besides just the music, he is a great MC, works well with other vendors, and is a calm and supportive presence to have at your wedding. Book The DC DJs now, I’m begging you! -

Where to begin, to start let’s just say we got married September 10 and three months later we still have guests reaching out asking about our DJ. Everyone we have spoken with after the wedding tells us how beautiful the day was, but quickly shifts the conversation to the reception and how the amazing DJ had the party rolling literally the whole night.
We could not be more grateful. Mario and his team are a professional, tech savvy, fully equipped team that knows how to throw a party. No one wanted the night to end!
From the beginning of our planning process, Mario was impressive. Very professional, with top of the line technology made us realize he knew exactly what he was doing and how to execute every little detail. We went with the full lighting, special effects, and photo booth package and it was perfection. Mario met us for a walkthrough at our venue to help facilitate layout and lighting design, from that point forward, there was not one moment during our planning process that we seconded guessed or questioned anything related to Mario - it was completely stress free and that is exactly what you need when planning a major event.
We could not recommend The DC Dj’s enough. If you are wanting a wedding or event that your guests will not forget, you need not look any further!

Where do I even begin?!? Mario was outstanding. He was responsive, affordable, fun, personable and knew how to get a party not only started but keep it going! Out of all our vendors, this is the one friends and family are still talking about!! Mario took the time to meet with us and go over our vision. Our main goal was to have music that kept everyone on the dance floor- we had been to weddings before where it’s awkward with only a few people dancing and everyone else sitting. Grandparents and people I have never seen dance were out there till last dance!!! He truly was amazing to work with and I am hoping I have another event he can help out with in the future!! We had the immense pleasure of working with Mario for our wedding. We'd hired him before COVID-19 hit the states, and he was so communicative and flexible throughout the rest of the planning process. His pricing is VERY fair, and he worked with us to figure out which services would work best for us. On the day of our wedding, he went above and beyond! This review was a long time coming (2 years!) Mario was recommended by a friend and I'm SO glad we got to have him DJ our wedding. He was very organized, detail oriented, really listened to us, and made suggestions that were extremely helpful. On top of that, his setup was very professional and blended right in to our setting, while the lighting really enhanced the ambiance. Most important of all, Mario's personality is FUN and infectious and he gets people up on the dancefloor without being pushy or cringey. I loved every aspect of our wedding, but I think that hiring the DC DJs was the most important choice we made to make sure that everyone was having as great a time as we were. 100% I would use DC DJs again. -

Getting married during this pandemic down right sucked. However, Mario was able to give us an amazing experience despite all the obstacles this year has thrown at us. We seriously cannot even find the words to express how appreciative we are of all that Mario did for us. With basically no notice, he accommodated our request to have family and friends participate in our wedding virtually and went above & beyond to create a [cyber] space for our long distance family and friends to be apart of our ENTIRE special day. It was absolutely perfect to look up at those TV screens and see our loved ones. They are all raving about the live streaming, music, and Mario’s ability to make them feel included in our day no matter where they were watching from.
And on the basis of the in-person part of the wedding, Mario was incredible! Everyone raved about the music and entertainment from my picky grandfather to my picky 18 year old sister.
We loved working with The DC DJs so much it makes us want to get married all over again. -

Mario made our wedding one to remember! From the very start when we reached out to him, he was quick to respond and was eager to answer all of our questions. As we got closer to the date, we met for a face-to-face meeting to go over all the details. He left no stone unturned as we walked through the timeline of the day, and we left feeling confident that he would make our day perfect. When the day of our wedding arrived, we had a quick change of plans and moved our wedding indoors. Mario was extremely flexible and restructured his set up accordingly. The whole run of the night went so smooth and he was amazing at keeping to the schedule of the night. He got our guests pumped up and really got the party going! He even made a point to teach everyone how to wobble! We had so many of our guests complimenting his charisma and passion. We used the DC DJs for our wedding. Mario was very patient with us and answered our numerous questions. He always made sure our needs were accommodated and our guests were entertained the entire reception. The pricing was very reasonable and we would definitely book again if we could go back in time.
