About
On WeddingWire since 2008
The Coronado is a historic wedding venue located in St. Louis, Missouri. Built during the height of the Jazz Age, this art deco building is reminiscent of Charleston dancers and luxurious parties. It features magnificent ballrooms and elegant parlors and lounges that serve as stunning locations for weddings.
Facilities and Capacity
This venue can host grand events that rival those of the 1920s or intimate celebrations with only your nearest and dearest in attendance. The Ballroom is its largest and most opulent venue, with enough space for up to 300 guests. It was constructed to celebrate Charles Lindbergh’s flight across the Atlantic, and no detail was spared in its design. Its high ceiling, detailed molding, and terrazzo floors provide a romantic atmosphere to any event. The South Ballroom offers a backdrop of dark hardwood floors and delicate chandeliers to weddings of 100 guests. The Grand Lobby, East Lounge, and Bradshaw Room can be used in conjunction with ballrooms for cocktail hour or as lounges during the reception. Small weddings can be accommodated in either the East Lounge or the Bradshaw Room.
Services Offered
The Coronado is committed to making dreams come true, and they have several packages available to suit a variety of budgets and wedding sizes. Couples are welcome to hold their ceremony at the venue, which will arrange a rehearsal and room flip for the reception. Their caterer, Butler’s Pantry, provides all dining services for events at this wedding destination. Couples can create their menu, and the catering team is happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. They offer a wide array of bar services, including standard and premium packages, wine service, champagne toast, and signature cocktail during cocktail hour.
History
Construction on The Coronado first began in 1923, and the hotel was opened in 1925. It became popular among the St. Louis community before earning widespread fame. Decorated stars and celebrated public figures including Presidents Roosevelt and Truman and aviator Charles Lindbergh visited the property in its heyday. The building underwent extensive renovations in 2001 and again in 2015 to restore it to its original splendor.

Love the Coronado! We have done some amazing weddings with the Coronado team!!
It's a pleasure to work at this venue. We've had many events at the Coronado, and it comes off smooth every time. An excellent staff!
This is one of the finest ballrooms in the St. Louis area. Not only is the space itself unique and beautiful, but the service and attention to detail of the staff is second to none. It is always a pleasure for us to photograph there - to work with real professionals in such an elegant environment.
