Exceptional service and beautiful venue

We worked with Tasha and Tyler for our wedding in July of 2022, and from the initial inquiry to the food tasting to our wedding day, they were so organized, responsive, and professional. They were able to make great recommendations for us, set the room beautifully for our event, and provide exceptional service. Would highly recommend to another couple.

Stunning venue

I can't say enough about the beauty of the Coronado. I wanted a grand, historic venue, and I got it! The team at Coronado/Butler's Pantry really wants the best for each wedding and it shows. My guests had an amazing experience. Everything was as it was supposed to be except for one or two very minor nit-picky things that don't change it being a 5-star experience (like a covering for kitchen doors during the ceremony). I highly recommend the Coronado for any event, and I hope I get to go back soon!

Incredible!

The ladies at The Coronado are absolutely amazing!! Tasha is incredibly kind and patient and answered every single one of my questions so promptly. We worked together for about 13 months while I was planning my wedding and she was there with me through the entire thing. She even helped me choose outside vendors! All of her advice was so so helpful and she truly made my dreams come true with the perfect wedding. She was my go-to girl for any wedding emergency, last minute idea, and day-of task. I could not be more happy with the service she provided us. Stephanie helped us the last few weeks right up until the wedding day and she was just as amazing! She was so nice and helpful and always there with great advice!

Amazing!! I loved this place from the moment I saw it. I worked with Rob who has helped me every step of the way. He provided suggestions and ideas to enhance my wedding day. I am so happy I chose this venue for my reception. The food is the best wedding food Ive ever had.

In one word - INCREDIBLE! We had our ceremony and reception here and it was absolutely stunning. The Ballroom made it feel like we were in a castle and the food was amazing!

FANTASTIC. My wedding was a fairytale come true! Everyone at the Coronado knows their stuff. Chantal made the planning portion so easy. By the end of it, she could seamlessly make decisions because she knew my vision and hope for the day. The food was INCREDIBLE. Seriously, best wedding cake I've ever tasted. The service of the wait staff was classy and relaxed. I would highly recommend the Coronado to any bride looking to have an elegant yet fun wedding. The atmosphere is just enchanting.

Wow, this was one of the best venues we could have chosen for our wedding. The Coronado delivered in every way possible and Beth Cain went above and beyond to see to all of our requests. The customer service, culinary delights, ambience and overall value were by far the best we had seen in the St. Louis area. Since we are based in Australia we really appreciated Beth's timely responses, professionalism, and assistance. WE had a very international guest list and all were amazed by The Coronado itself, Beth, the amazing food and exquisite service. Everyone felt like royalty that night. Thank you to the entire team at the Coronado and to Beth Cain!

The Coronado ballroom is a fabulous venue to have a wedding, social or coporate event. I got married Sunday November 11th 2012 and it was just perfect. Other than the breathtaking venue, the event staff, catering staff and everyone else employed by the Coronado was SO impressive. Guests talked about how great the service was for weeks!! It just makes this a great package deal, and definitely worth every penny.Beth Cain was my event planner and we clicked immediately! It felt like she was made to plan MY wedding and MY wedding only, realistically I knew that was not the case. She was there every step of the way. I called her at least once a week bothering her with questions and she never failed to take care of everything for me. We also had consultations in person to make sure the wedding planning process was on track (Meet her at the Nadoz cafe for coffee its amazing!) A couple days before my wedding, I dropped everything off and Beth said okay, I got this! The day off my wedding I was in a panic, it had been raining all morning, my hair and make up was done!! Beth met me at the front door with a huge umbrella, making sure not a drop of rain messed my hair or makeup up. She took me to my changing room, I didnt have to worry about ANYTHING the hours leading up to my wedding. I mean ANYTHING. Beth would come in the room every half hour, check on me, tell me I am going to love everything how everything was set up. The feelings you get of excitement, nervousness and everything else are just overwhelming so thank god Beth was there! When I saw my ceremony and reception room for the first time, there are no words that can describe it. It literally took my breath away. I am not sure how Beth does it, but she can sure put on a wedding!! It was like she read my mind on how I wanted every little detail.. down to rose petal placement. It was unreal to me. I would recommend her over and over again. To this day we still keep in touch. Good luck future brides!!! :)

The Coronado Ballroom.... I can’t even begin to describe how amazing my wedding day was!! Not only because the venue itself is magnificent, and not because the caterer was phenomenal but because Beth Cain the event coordinator was the most amazing person you will ever meet! She is the person that made my day run smoothly, without one hitch and worked her butt off to make sure that my husband and I were pleased with everything! She and the staff at Coronado are so outstanding. I know without a doubt I picked the best wedding venue and best wedding coordinator in Saint Louis, MO for my wedding!!

There are several beautiful venues in St. Louis to consider when planning your wedding, however no other could encompass the entire fairy tale wedding "feel" better than the Coronado Ballroom.
The building, lobby and ballroom are perfect examples of the achitectural beauty that has long been a part of St. Louis history. Combine that with a chef whose creations are impeccable, and a staff that is professional and dedicated to making your event flawless, you have the perfect mix for a wedding that friends and family will talk about for ages!
Beth and the catering staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful as we planned our wedding. The attention to detail, expert suggestions, creativity and genuine excitement they showed for our big day helped to make the experience much less stressful, and much more enjoyable than most brides and grooms would describe!
We love that our guests still talk about how beautiful and perfect our wedding day was at the Coronado...and we could not have been more happy with how wonderful our experience was with Beth and the entire staff who made our day so special!

The Coronado made planning my wedding super stress-free. Rob was amazing in every way, went above and beyond and added things to the wedding that fit in perfectly with our vision. The venue is gorgeous and I loved how everything was in one place; the catering, cake, chairs, etc. Our wedding was perfect and our guests were still talking about our wedding months later! (At another friends wedding!)

After researching many wedding venues in St. Louis, my parents, fiancé and I narrowed down our options. The first venue we toured was the Coronado and I adored it. Even though I knew it was absolutely perfect, we continued looking to make sure it was the right decision. Looking at other options in the area solidified our decision.

The initial reason I wanted to tour the Coronado was because of the ballroom—it was gorgeous in every picture I saw. While it’s beautiful in pictures, in person it is truly stunning. The room alone could have sold my parents, fiancé and I on the Coronado. The attention we received from the staff during the planning process was an added bonus when we picked this venue.

Rob Schaefer was a god send while I was planning the wedding. His insight, professionalism and creativity helped my vision come to life. He was extremely responsive, kind and helpful during planning. There were times I had to remind myself that my wedding was not his only event—but he really made me feel like it was the only thing he was working on! His recommendations were amazing and he made everything about the wedding seem magical. As others have said, without Rob, I would not have found some amazing vendors.

The night of the wedding was like a fairy tale. The food was AMAZING (we had multiple people tell us it was the best food they have had at a wedding), the service from the staff at Stephen Becker Fine Dining was fantastic, our other vendors (especially Burns Photography, RW Designs, Video Views, Exclusive Events, BBJ Linens, Sitting Pretty, Best Transportation) did a wonderful job and Rob made sure every single detail was perfect.

Our wedding was a month ago and we are still receiving compliments about the day! We are so grateful for the memories we have of the day. Like many other posts have said, I cannot say enough wonderful things about our Coronado wedding experience.

I can not say enough nice things about the Coronado Ballroom. If you have always dreamt of feeling like a princess on your wedding day then look no further than the Coronado. I had spent a long time looking for the right venue to host our ceremony and reception. Due to religious differences we were looking for a venue that could allow us to still have a romantic ceremony to be remembered. This is harder to find in St. Louis than I anticipated. I looked at many places, one of the biggest concerns I had that we would have to be at a place that needed to "flip" the room after the ceremony and that our guests would either have to wait outside or even worse have to witness them changing the room into our reception venue. Many hotels in St. Louis provided seperate rooms for ceremony and reception, however every time I felt as if I was attending a work meeting. The thought of this was simply unacceptable. I wanted to have a romantic, church type atmosphere without the ceremony having to be in a church to avoid upsetting my family.
I was always under the impression that the Coronado was WAAAAAAAY out of my budget but once I met with Rob, I realized that this wasn't true at all. Other venues charge additonal fees for rental of the space and for flipping the room and while the Coronado does have a ceremony fee it was still much less than what the other much inferior venues requested. Also the Coronado has the advantage of having an in house caterer therefore there are no HIDDEN fees or surprise charges most other couples complain about. The food is absolutely incredible and it could rival any 5 star restaurant. The cake is included in the packages which also helps offset the cost as well. If that all wasn't enough- the SERVICE was simply AMAZING. From the first time I toured the Coronado and met Rob- I knew that this was the coordinator I wanted to work with and the venue I had to get married at. When he showed me the ceremony room, my heart literally skipped a beat of relief because for the very first time I felt that "I could see myself getting married here" feeling. He was such a pleasure to work with throughout and went above and beyond his job duties. Without Rob I would have never known about or found some of my favorite vendors, such as Plume Events, Millenium Productions, Reverend Terry Barber, Jon Koch, RW Designs, Rosewood Ensemble. I trusted his opinion and every single recommendation/idea of Rob's proved to be 100% correct. I highly recommend the Coronado, but even with the beauty of this ballroom it wouldn't be anything without Rob Schaeffer's services. Thank you Rob for making the happiest bride out of me!!!!

We used the Coronado as our reception venue and their amazing Steven Beckerford Dining. The experience was magical, just perfect. The food was incredible--every guest said the food was so delicious, which normally doesn't happen with wedding food!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Coronado Ballroom. We worked with Jaci, and she was amazingly helpful. She quickly responded to any questions, was always available for a meeting, and took care of every detail imaginable. She handled the other vendors, the set up of every detail the day of the wedding, and kept everything running smoothly.

The Coronado is the most beautiful venue in town, and the service is impeccable. Many of my guests commented on the level of service, and everyone complimented the food. It was the very best food I've ever eaten at any wedding. The food pleased the vegetarians and meat-eaters alike, and our cake was absolutely delicious!

I cannot recommend The Coronado Ballroom highly enough.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Coronado and their staff! They exceeded every one of my expectations and we were absolutely dazzled by the food and decor! Jaci answered all of my numerous questions throughout the planning period and took care of everything the day of. She was there whenever I needed help, opinions, recommendations, and was so attentive to me on our wedding day. Our guests are still talking about what an incredible time they had and how absolutely amazing the food and cake was not to mention the presentation by the wait staff which was spectacular! I've had so many people tell us it was one of, if not the most beautiful and fun wedding they have ever been to. If you want your dream wedding come true, go to the Coronado!

The Coronado helped us create a beautiful day of memory for our daughter and son-in-law. Our wedding coordinator, Jaci, the Coronado staff and the owner, Steve Becker--- all of their input was extremely helpful through out the planning stages and the during the actual event; everything went perfectly the day of the wedding. We loved everything about the Coronado. The food was great and the service amaing. Jaci took care of every detail-- from the band set-up to the last minute guest who did not RSVP. As the bride, I didn't have to think, worry, or fret about anything.

I used SBFD express, ordering boxed lunches and then repacked them into picnic baskets for my guests. The sandwiches were made with gourmet ingredients and absolutly delicious and packed wonderfully. They allowed me to order three different types of sandwiches so my guests could choose their meal and gave a discount since it was such a large order. The pick up went smoothly and I would certainly recommend them for anyone looking for upscale casual food. Because it was through the express division which is intended for business lunches and such I only had to notify them of my order at least two days in advance. Overall I was exceptionally happy with their service!

If you want something that's classy, unique and elegant, the Coronado is the pinacle of venues. While not for those with a small budget, we were able to put on an amazing event for our guests for an arm and half a leg. Great value for what you get - which is: top service from the best professionals in the city, amazing food, a gifted baker, enchanting surroundings. The only negative with the venue for us is that most of our guests showed up at the same time - the valet got a little congested. Other than that, my guests can't stop talking about how special and unique the night was.

The Coronado deliveres on all promises and I was so impressed how my wedding was implemented without a flaw. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. My wedding day was a like a fairytale and all the guest were so impressed by the food and the beauty of the venue. People are still talking about it to this day. If you are looking for a venue that you can put all your trust into and know that they will do all they can to make your day memorabe, The Coronado should be your first choice of all St. Louis wedding venues.

Working with the staff at the Coronado was incredible. They were very organized, professional and polished. They are extremely responsive and handle everything making the wedding day a very enjoyable experience for the families involved as well as the guests attending. The quality was with out a doubt the best it comes. The food was so fantastic and they have an amazing system where everyone is served their food at exactly the same time. I can not say enough wonderful things about The Coronado. Also I need not to forget the fact that The Coronado is a stunning, spectacular venue for a wedding it's jaw dropping beautiful.

Our wedding reception at the Coronado Ballroom in St. Louis was absolutely perfect, and the most magical day ever! The service was impeccable and the food outstanding. The venue speaks for itself in beauty. I LOVE the marble floor highlighted with lights and the elegant candle light fixtures. It is truly a Cinderella Ballroom. Rob was very helpful, and attending to all the details of our special day! I am only sad now because the day is a wonderful memory. I would do anything to relive the best day of my life.

The staff at the Coronado were courteous and professional, and worked with us to create an event that was lovely and within our price range. The person who managed the event, Jackie Burgess, did a phenomenal job. She was kind, detail-oriented, and accessible throughout the entire planning process. Most important, she made sure everything ran smoothly at the reception, from making sure the guests gifts were securely stowed away to checking with the bride and groom about last minute changes. As the meal was being eaten, she was "waiting in the wings" behind us to see if we needed anything, which put us at ease and allowed us to relax and have a great time!

Many brides often vision their wedding when they are younger. I was one of these brides...and while you never think the real wedding will be just as perfect as your vision, it was even better thanks to the wonderful setting and personnel.

The Coronado Ballroom is absolutely stunning and a wonderful place to host your reception. Rob was a delight to work with and made our special day very relaxed, fun, and one of a kind! He threw in wonderful and thoughtful surprises when you least expected them. The food was delicious. Guests complimented us on the dining throughout the evening, often stating it was as if they were at a high star restaurant. If anything went wrong on our wedding day, we certainly had no clue. As soon as we arrived, Rob snuck my husband and me into the ballroom so we could see the final product (while our guests participated in a cocktail hour). Rob first handed us glasses of water (it was 100 degrees outside!!!) followed by a glass of champagne and had a waiter standing by with trays of our selected appetizers to ensure that we would get to try each and every one of them. Rob named special drinks for us and made us truly feel like the center of attention on our big day from start to finish. Rob also wasn't the type to always be in your face or be seen all the time. He managed to take care of everything, have a great time, put smiles on peoples faces, and somehow not be in every photo :)!

We not only regularly recommend this location to our friends but will most certainly go back to the Coronado should be need professional catering or a location to host a party/celebration.

The food was fantastic. We had fillet with a crab claw, stuffed chicken breast, spinach soup, roasted vegetables, and twice baked potatoes. It was served, I should say presented, to each table. The portions were large and served hot. I have never been to a wedding this nice in my life!! Wine was kept flowing as well as the coffee. I could not see how this could be approved upon. Great service, great food. Well done!

While this was a beautiful location and the wedding did turn out very well, I was less than thrilled with the customer service provided for as large of an expense as this was. The catering and event specialist was not as accessible or pleasant as I might have hoped and this to me would be a deterrent in choosing venues if I had it all to do over again.
