Facilities and Capacity

Nestled on a hillside above Chestnut Hill’s scenic Wissahickon Valley, the stately Chateau at SugarLoaf is a lovingly restored stone manor surrounded by landscaped gardens. The Chateau at SugarLoaf features a large dining room with crystal chandeliers, a sweeping spiral staircase, and a luxurious bridal suite. The dining room can seat 144 guests with a dance floor, 168 with a rental dancefloor placed in the reception room, or 250 for a cocktail reception. The reception room can accommodate 50 for a sit-down meal. The Chateau at SugarLoaf also features a patio and lawn area which can seat 144 in a rental tent. The historic St. Joseph Hall’s breathtaking five-story, 95-foot high Rotunda provides an impressive backdrop for intimate wedding celebrations. The Rotunda, with its vaulted ceiling and stained glass skylight, carved columns, marble floor, balconies, and grand staircase also features two traditional 2,000-square-foot parlors. The Rotunda can accommodate 100 for a cocktail reception. The East Parlour and Redmond Room can each seat 144 guests or 150 for a cocktail party.

Services Offered

Rental of either the Chateau at SugarLoaf or the Rotunda and Parlours at St. Joseph Hall includes exclusive use of the venue, with only one wedding booked per day. Couples will be able to enjoy five hours for their wedding, plus an additional two hours for decorating. A complimentary phone consultation with a professional wedding planner allows clients to communicate their preferences. A dedicated venue coordinator, security team, and housekeeping staff can all be on hand to ensure a seamless celebration. The luxurious bridal suite for weddings at the chateau offers somewhere secluded for preparations while tables, chairs, and set up can be furnished for the reception. Onsite parking is also available for added convenience.
