Historic Wedding Venues in Philadelphia

Jurry and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Masonic Temple for hosting our wedding ceremony on August 10, 2025. We had a truly amazing day. The venue was absolutely stunning and our guests can not stop talking about it. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. They anticipated our needs and ensured that everything ran smoothly.

Morris Arboretum was an amazing and beautiful wedding venue. They worked with us every step of the way to make our day as special as possible. Luckily, we experienced great weather, but if we did not, they were ready to go with a back up plan. The Rose Garden was so beautiful for the ceremony and Out on a Limb was perfect for cocktail hour. We highly recommend using them as a venue. So amazing!!! Thank you Morris!

Knowlton Mansion was the best choice we made for our wedding celebration. We feel so grateful that my mom found this venue and we ran with it. We already had the best first impression and they did not disappoint until the very end. Everyone we talked to and worked with was so nice, accommodating, patient, and professional. From the very first person, Cara, who introduced us to the venue and the logistics, to Eileen the event manager, to Rebecca the day of manager, and the bridal attendant were all SO personable and supportive and focused on helping us fulfill our vision. We really appreciated how patient they were with us. Also would like to point out how easy it is to communicate with the team and have all of our questions answered throughout the entire process. Eileen was particularly so helpful and responsive ! They also kept us accountable with reasonable and very clear timelines. On the day of, Rebecca was so receptive and clear in that she is there to support us and answer any type of question ever. Ok and the FOOD was something else! All of our guests from different parts of our lives were similarly huge fans of the food and the portion. The hors d'oeuvres were such a hit and the entree was so good and great portions. They left feeling so full and satisifed which was so important to us. Knowlton Mansion was such an important factor to why our wedding day was the best day of our lives. We wish we could go back to this most perfect day.

Union Trust, managed by Finley Catering was amazing. Our son's wedding was held there in September 2025. The food was delicious, the venue was beautiful and we received many compliments from our guests. Thomas, the wedding coordinator was very organized and made the day less stressful. He had a great sense of humor, while making sure all the details were addressed. Micel, the bride/groom attendant was so lovely and helpful. Diane, one of the servers went out of her way to help and was very attentive. EVERY employee exhibited a level of service and professionalism that blew us away. Even the mother of the owner, Carol came to the venue on the day of the wedding to check in and make sure we had everything we needed. What business, especially in the wedding industry, does that these days? The day turned out beautifully and was everything the bride and groom hoped it would be. We left with happy and positive memories of our children's wedding day.

We had a sensational experience at the Awbury Arboretum! The location is just beautiful, for us it was a perfect mixture of outdoors but also protected from the elements. It was a rainy day and that threw off our plan a tad, but it was still an amazing day. The food from Peachtree was delightful, the staff was friendly and attentive, and each part of the venue (house, tent, portico) was perfect. Our coordinator Grace was awesome, she was so organized and communicative and helped make our day so special and easy. We especially loved the attention to detail in ensuring that we (bride and groom) had food and drinks at every point of the day. They catered to our wants and needs for our special day including but not limited to special requests! Can’t recommend Awbury enough, it was exactly what we wanted!

My husband and I had multiple guests tell us our wedding was "the best ever." This was in part thanks to Bartram's Garden!! The scenery/natural backdrop throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are gorgeous. The food (especially passed apps) are delicious. And the service is impeccable. Working with Kelly throughout the planning made what many find stressful to be an easy process -- she is patient, communicative, and helpful! Our day-of-coordinator, Saayid, was perfect. He attended to all our guests' and our needs. Getting married at Bartram's was a total dream!

I can't say enough about the Lisa's, kevin, tim, and everyone else that worked hard to make our entire process seamless and amazing. Not only are they lgbtqia+ friendly, and LGBT owned/operated, but they are the most responsive, fairly priced, all inclusive venue you could dream to work with!

We had our dream fairy-tale garden wedding at Ridgeland Mansion last Saturday. We moved under the tent due to rain, and the backdrop of the grounds provided a beautiful setting for photos and for guests to walk around if desired during cocktail hour. The place settings and food were perfect for our guests, healthy and local with a lot of gluten-free, vegan options. Jenn was unparalleled in her kindness & responsiveness throughout the process. She made sure we ate and enjoyed on the day of, helping create an intimate, warm, magical evening that we'll never forget.

The College of Physicians of Philadelphia was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding day. From the very beginning, their communication was clear, immediate, and thorough, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is simply gorgeous, with a moody and sophisticated ambiance that made the wedding feel truly special. Ginger Metzger, our event coordinator, was amazing - she guided us every step of the way and was so quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. The College of Physicians of Philadelphia and Catering by Design exceeded our expectations and we're so grateful to have celebrated our daughter and son in law's special day in such a beautiful and well-run space. The food and service provided by Catering by Design exceeded our guests expectations as well as ours. Highly recommend!
