There are so many reasons why I am so happy we chose to use The Catering Gourmet for our wedding. First, with our wedding taking place in Warwick, we were excited to use a Warwick-based company, rather than one from Providence or Newport. Second, we wanted a catering company that would give us as much control over the menu as possible, and The Catering Gourmet did just that. We were given the flexibility to do buffet, family-style, or plated, or a combination (plated entrees with family-style sides). And the menu is massive! There were so many great options we would have been happy to choose. Third, Michaela made everything run so smoothly. She helped us pair sides with entrees and was happy to accommodate our two vegan guests (for cocktail hour, salads, entrees, and sides). She also walked me through all of the table/chair/flatware/china orders we needed to make which took a huge weight off my back. I would absolutely recommend The Catering Gourmet to anyone!

I loved working with The Catering Gourmet. Michaela was super responsive and I absolutely trusted her and her team to help the visions of our big day come true. We got married at the Botanical Center at the Roger Williams Park in August. We come from Haitian families and wanted delicious dishes inspired from our culture that our families would love. The Catering Gourmet did not disappoint! Whatever we wanted, they did they're best to accommodate and they had great recommendations too. Knowing that I didn't need to look at one of those lack-luster generic booklets that those other places have while working with them was a relief. Pork shoulder with pickled cabbage, done! Mac au gratin shooters, done!...and this is just a few of the amazing passed hors d'oeuvres that we had at our wedding. We had Szechuan salmon, Caribbean mojo chicken, and a coconut crusted eggplant for our meal choices. Our guests are still raving about the food. We had an open bar and the bartenders were amazing as well. They provided us with a complete list of alcohol that we would need, which was very helpful. If you're looking for a unique menu + responsive, friendly, flexible, and responsible staff+ delicious food---> Hire them for your wedding or your next big event! I highly recommend them.

One of the best decisions we made in planning my daughters wedding was to choose this company as our caterer. From planning to the very end, I couldn't ask for more. Guests were impressed with the delicious food and the beautiful presentation, and the service was friendly and professional . They really helped my daughter and son-in-laws wedding turn into everything they imagined.

We used the Catering Gourmet for our wedding and the food was fantastic! We did a bbq menu and many people (including other vendors who go to a ton of weddings) said it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Michaela was so wonderful to work with - she was so thorough, checked in with us so often and helped make our day so smooth and perfect. Would highly recommend using them!

The Carering Gourmet providing an excellent buffet with passed and stationary appetizers. Michaela was so responsive throughout the planning process and the company was flexible and accommodating to what my husband and I wanted. The food was delicious, just like at the Tasting we had prior to the wedding.

We worked with The Catering Gourmet for our outdoor tented wedding. Michaela and her team were amazing! Michaela was attention to our needs via email and phone throughout the planning process. The service and attention to detail of the staff was more than expected. Michaela helped design the head table and made the necessary decisions to improve the overall flow of the night. Moreover, the food was phenomenal! The Catering Gourmet is highly recommended!

I worked with The Catering Gourmet for my 4/7/18 wedding and choosing them was my absolute best decision. I will start off by saying that Michaela, the Catering Manager that we worked with, was AMAZING. We told her we wanted food with a Latin American flair and she came up with the most incredible menu. She let us customize everything so it was exactly how we wanted, which is so different than all of the other caterers we spoke to that only offered "cookie cutter packages". Throughout the entire planning process Michaela was so responsive and helpful, I really can't praise her enough. Now for the food itself...it was INCREDIBLE. The presentation, taste, everything! We are still getting compliments from our guests on how unique and delicious the food was. I would highly recommend The Catering Gourmet to anyone planning their wedding, especially to those who want to truly customize their catering experience. They are so friendly, reliable, and will work with you to make your wedding dreams come true!

These guys knocked it out of the park! We hired them for our outdoor wedding, hoping it would be a sunny day. Instead it rained steadily, but they stayed cool and professional and shuttled food and servings in and out of the tent we had, setting up the tables and everything to accommodate last-minute rain-related changes. Michaela was the lead we worked with and she was terrific -- responding promptly and completely to our questions and making all necessary arrangements -- she even coordinated the flow of events during the wedding. Oh, and the food was wonderful, and praised by many guests. We loved that they offered some off-beat options, too, such as coffee milk shake and clamcake/chowder hors d'oeuvres. Highly recommended.

Catering Gourmet recently catered our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome! The food is a memorable part of the wedding for your guests and you really want it to be incredible and satisfying ! We had a large amount of different dietary needs and there was something for everyone to enjoy.
All of our wedding menu options from the appetizers to dinner, were not only amazing but also interactive, unique, and was a hit with everyone that attended!
Joanie was awesome! She was always there to answer the phone or email, was very helpful with suggestions and planning and was always bubbly, happy and such a pleasure to work with.

The Catering Gourmet was wonderful to work with. The food they provided was delicious and the service was outstanding. Michaela was a delight to work with. She was willing to go above and beyond in order to make my daughter's wedding reception perfect. The serving staff and bartender were kind, helpful and never frazzled while serving our 200 guests.
